Ok, she’s pretty funny and Caleb was giving her *nothing* 😂 The “feeling modest” joke was pretty good and how refreshing to have someone who can communicate and not give a roundabout story about *everything*
Awe! I don’t think she earned the title of “dumb stripper”. She just seemed like she had trouble understanding the market. She just needs the right information and guidance. She seemed genuine in getting feedback and help.
As a Vegas local, her rent is a GOOD DEAL for being in a safer area! Most of Vegas is very very rough so there are very few places to live where you are "safe".
I made the mistake of letting my younger cousin book an AirBnB. We were driving in from Lake Powell and I was zoned out until I saw a gun store, pawn store, liquor store, dispensary, sex shop go by my window. Was like “where the fuck are we staying?!” Place had bars on the windows. 😂
Vegas local here. I think she makes a great point about her mobile home and rent. She’s right that any liveable area in Vegas is like $1.5k for a one bedroom. She’s right that anything under that is in a rough area, and we have lots of those around here.
Paid off my car yesterday! Would of rode out the minimum payments at 16% interest if this show didn't inspire me to take my financial life more seriously. Thanks Caleb!

I agree. Can't imagine how much shit she gets on the daily. She chose that life, but still. She seems like a sweet and intelligent person, it felt like she was really attentive to your feedback and ready to make a change. Wishing her the best in the future, I hope she’s able to resolve her situation! :)
Fact: People who are of average-intelligence are prone to being overly optimistic when assessing their own intelligence, and that of similarly-minded people. This is partially due to them using the below-average intelligence people as benchmarks, and the fact that it’s impossible to comprehend how it would be to have a brain capable of a higher level of intelligence.

I often wonder the same thing. I am hopeful that Caleb and his guest discuss exactly what the title will be and he allows them to veto certain terrible things. The guest chose to have this experience typically knowing the show from at least one episode. I have seen ones that haven't seen the show though so I am not positive. This one made me feel wrong though, clearly not dumb.
@@inksplosiongames Hes mentioned in passing in some episodes that the guests have a general final say on what is in or out, also they are usually aware of the title and thumbnail.
Unlike Dave Ramsey, this show is purely entertainment, not informational. The "guests" are entertaining because the "work" (if you call what she does, work) that they do, is questionable at best. So it is entertaining for ordinary people to watch this and see how these people have financially ruined their lives in a Schadenfreude sense. If these were normal people doing legitimate work with genuinely good purpose who were in financial ruin, they wouldn't subject themselves to airing their dirty financial laundry in this format to be so embarrassed. A person with a legitimate career that doesn't need clicks to justify their existence, feels shame for their self induced financial circumstances. A stripper is shameless.
CHRISTA!! If you come into the comments, I hope you see this one! I went Marines > Stripper > and now, Nuclear (power generation side). It pays the same as a stripper and has the structure of the military, so you'll likely love it! Plus as a female disabled vet, they will preferentially hire you. Good luck in life, girl! And you're right it's cold AF in the club!!! 😂
I actually feel bad for her because she seems to have her head on straight. The only thing that's missing is some financial literacy, and at 15K/month income, she could've been set for life. I always say that accounting/finances should be mandated as a course in every single school.
Yeah, she was trying so hard with the money-pit of a house. I couldn't imagine living in a trailer, sinking all my money into a house I'll never live in. Sounds like she'll never make her money back on it between interest and renovation costs.
I try to learn finance and accounting stuff but I just can't retain it or understand it. It's really overwhelming for me so I am guessing it might be for some others too.
@@sevan8350 On a basic level, there's not much you need to learn to be financially responsible. The best thing my parents taught me is: If you earn money, don't spend it - save it. That is how a poor person becomes a wealthy person. The next thing to learn is where to put the money so it grows over time, like into the market as a balanced ETF or the S&P 500. If you can figure out those two things, especially when you're young, you will be thanking yourself 20 years down the road. If you have trouble with the saving part, then learn to budget your income. Aim to save at least half of what you earn. This may require you to make some sacrifices.
I am a formal ballerina who also got into stripping to make a living. Eventually i took out a big loan for studying an MBA and IT. For the past 3 years I worked in tech sales in Australia. Today im making $200k and about to become fully debt free. Never looking back again.
She comes across as someone who has a ton of potential and is willing to work incredibly hard; she just did all of this by herself with no financial literacy. She clearly seems willing to work on these issues, if she leaves this interview and educates herself concerning finances she can still turn this around and retire very comfortably. Hoping the best for her.
She ain't lying about rent in Vegas. It gets higher than owning a home. Those places Caleb is finding are horrible areas. Hella shady. I wouldn't be surprised also that it could be monthly/weekly hotel places which are also pretty common here.
I was a lawyer for about 3 years, mostly in debt collection and foreclosure. The number of lawyers who lost their houses to foreclosure was the biggest shock to me. Don't waste a GI Bill on law school unless it's a well-ranked school with really good employment outcomes. Most of my classmates regret going to law school.
I would second these comments. I work with several underemployed attorneys who could not find the jobs they wanted after law school. Fortunately, my daughter went to a good law school and was a top student, so she's displaying the outcome on the other end of the spectrum. But with the proliferation of colleges offering law degrees, I believe she's become the exception, rather than the rule.
At this time all college has to be considered a sham w current fed government (also a sham) having hired complete inept administrators there. I’m a property inspector - so your point about lawyers - I’ve been there done that doesn’t even cross my mind. Its not much, but since october i have saved $1000 and paid off a large chunk of my credit card and student loans. Normally i struggle to watch "finance guys" without turning it off, but you make it so much more understandable and less uppity. Thank you for everything you do!
Any and every month you can have savings go up and debt go down at the same time is an accomplishment. Saying "it's not much" belittles that. Cause, honestly, if you can keep doing that again and again, you will get to security.
Possibly the best episode yet! I feel like the title is definitely a discredit to this woman. While watching delusional train wrecks can be super fun, this was such a refreshing guest. Not crazy, not fighting with you, seemed open to criticism, and funny! Great episode!
There are some other comments about this, but it might be that she did in fact understand it correctly. I really hope Caleb or someone on his team goes through these points more carefully outside of the show, I hate seeing bad info given out on student loans (he did not characterize interest on the SAVE plan correctly in a previous episode) or the mortgage here. Even if Caleb was correct, he could make these episodes so much more informative for helping others if he could explain it clearer rather than move so rapid fire to the next outrage.
This was an amazing episode, it’s usually frustrating when people come on and act like they’re in full control and kind of neglecting Caleb. I really felt like she’s trying her best to dig herself out and I’m hoping the best for her!
She's in Vegas...get a second job as a casino dealer. Go to a dealer school, learn to deal Blackjack, get a job at a casino, make money off tips. Good looking dealers get tipped well. Casinos open 24/7, so she can fit it around her schedule.
Irresponsible and getting $2k a month tax free. She did zero research into school as well. She could have used Voc Rehab instead of wasting her money on undergrad.
I love this channel. We cut back eating out, unused subscriptions, started meal planning to eliminate extra trips to the grocery store during the week… and we saved about $4-5k between September and December. We don’t have alot of debts and we just bought a car in cash.

I don't like the clickbait direction Caleb is taking with this channel recently. Financial Audit is interesting enough without pretending every episode is crazier than the last and putting mean spirited titles and thumbnails over guests who are really quite tame.
It’s literally always been like that. And as a RUclipsr, he’s constantly trying to get new eyes on his channel. I think he’s smart for doing it. Instead of complaining about something that dumb, how about you just ignore the title of the video ? 🤔
@dustinmarry4993 audience retention is a thing, idk if you're aware of it. Gaining a view through clickbait and saying "it works" is incredibly short sighted...
Oh she’s not dumb at all! She’s one of the most intelligent guests you had on the show in my opinion (another proof that PhD doesn’t make you clever automatically). Wishing her success and I hope she can “retire” and maybe work in some kind of [legal] entertainment but not butt naked anymore :D
It’s amazing to hear the stories of people putting their finances in order and having the motivation to suck it up now and place their future and children’s future in much better spots. Great to see the good that comes out of bringing poor financial management in the open.
I oooooved that episode! So much fun and laughter + a really nice girl sitting and seems like learning from you. I wish her all the best! Thank u Caleb!
One of my a favorite episodes. I might be biased because she's a fellow veteran, but I think overall she has a good head on her shoulders and is a go-getter type of person. She just needs a little more education in finances. She should definitely have a talk with a VSO at VFW she is a part of to make sure she's being rated by the VA for everything she is eligible for. Also, make sure her conditions aren't under-rated. On 2 separate occasions the VA has under-rated me on conditions. It wasn't until I challenged them and pointed out the rating schedule in their own regs that I got bumped up to the appropriate and accurate rating. After talking to multiple veterans, it is a common occurrence. The VA very often low balls veterans. I encourage all veterans to take look at their rated conditions and the VA rating schedule for those conditions.
Just as many people are gaming the system so don't blame it on the VA it's their own battle buddies causing it. No deployment No action but have 100% and still work full time. Bullshitters
When I worked at a credit union we had strippers come in with their earnings and the majority of the time their checking balance was below $200 and NOTHING in savings. Sadly, the money goes as quickly as it comes.
Initial title was pretty harsh lol gave it a second chance when it popped up again and it was a great episode. No annoying excuses like some of the previous guests. Straight to the point. Youre videos have been helpful in handling my finances, especially with 50 30 20 and consistent payday investments into index funds, appreciate it Caleb!
It sucks seeing a sister in arms struggling like this. If you read the comments I’m begging you, go talk to a veteran service officer (VSO) in your area, someone at the VFW should be able to point you in the right direction. You’re leaving benefits you earned on the table. You are getting destroyed by that mortgage when you could’ve gotten a VA home loan. You’re disabled, the VA has rehabilitation programs outside of the GI bill that will help you. Speaking of your GI Bill, USE IT FOR UNDERGRAD! Your plan to “save it for grad school” clearly isn’t working. Go get your bachelors, the housing payment will more than cover your mortgage…you can even look at it like your second job. Vegas’ BAH is $1.8k a month! If you get your ducks in a row, you can use the aforementioned rehabilitation programs for your graduate degree!
Ya, Caleb seemed pissed off cuz it was so smart. He kept trying to poke holes in it but he just kept sounding stupid so he had to stop. Then all he could do was disparagingly tell her she lived in a trailer. This move makes me think she is probably on the right track with her Airbnb as well.
@@wherezenith2856 That wasn't it at all. She had to put out the $20,000 on an asset that not only will depreciate (mobile homes are not the same as houses, you don't own the land that it sits on), and she's responsible for all of its upkeep. What if tomorrow the furnace in her mobile home went? That would be something she would be responsible for. What if the roof had to be redone? Another thing she would have to put money out for. When she's renting, that would be something that would be taken care of for her. Sure her rent and utilities only come up to $650 a month or so, but if she was able to get an apartment in the $1300 dollar range, it would take almost 3 years living there to break even on that $20,000 spending no additional money on the trailer at all - including her lot fees not going up. Which, as someone that owns a house, is impossible. Especially when you're buying it for $20,000.
@@chantalwiebe534if she paid 20k for it, the original owner likely ate the majority of the depreciation. If it’s a true mobile home, they are often 100k plus new. She’ll never get 20 for it, but it probably won’t go down too fast. It’s like buying a 6 year old car.
@@BradDiBenedetto even if it were the case that it only did lose half of the value, a house never only costs the cost of the mortgage plus bills. There are so many other costs that come up that you don't pay when you rent.
Hey man these banks will throw money at you if you make decent money but people don't understand that they HAVE to give it back and that time frame to do so a lot shorter then they think
Half stupidity, half "i'm finally free from parents with my own money" binge spending. I'm 22 and had to pay off 5K for autoschool even thought I was given a grant. Missed a week due to personal reasons and got dropped from class which in turn got the grant taken. Doesn't matter if there's a notice or not, you fall under hours, that's it. The world is weird and definitely not on our side but also not directed at us personally. Everyone would get screwed if they didn't pay attention. Learned that one the hard way.
I also studied sociology. As an overweight short guy, stripping wasn't an option, so I had to go back to school to become an accountant to make money. And, weirdly, the "accountant" moniker is often used by sex workers to hide their true profession. Anyway, I'm glad there's another sociology grad out there making bank, even if they had to go down a road less traveled. Edit: jic people aren’t catching onto the sarcastic point of my original comment. The guest talked about how the only way you can make money as a Soc graduate is by stripping. And that’s largely true, most people can’t make money as a sociologist. They usually end up doing something else. So, the guest responded by becoming a euphemistic “accountant”. And I responded by becoming a literal accountant.
The joke made sense 😅 I have a feeling a lot of these commenters aren’t aware of secx worker jokes 🤣 for anyone that didn’t get it, usually if someone asks what you’re doing for work and you don’t want to disclose you’re a secx worker, maybe it’s a relative asking, you’ll say ‘oh I’m in accounting’.
Caleb, thank you so much for this series. I used to be so afraid of my finances that I couldn't even bear to look at my checking account, let alone my credit card statements. Now I look every day, and not just look but analyse! Because of you I was brave enough to find THREE recurring charges that I didn't know about and get fully refunded for the YEARS that they have been charging me without my knowledge. I can't wait to knock out my credit card debt, and it's truly thanks to you :)

Caleb, thank you for doing this channel. It has really helped to put things in perspective for me by seeing other people and their situation. It's very easy for people to get stuck in a "why do other people get that but I dont" mindset that reprograms you to seek crap you don't need and honestly only want because so and so has one too...or in my case, everyone is driving around in hundred thousand dollar cars and surely they dont make much more than me...We are professionals and make a very good income but I have a lot of student loan debt. First baby coming any day now and I had convinced myself that we absolutely "needed" an 80k tank of an suv, which technically we could afford by putting less in savings. After binging you for the last several weeks, I'm happy with my 2014 truck and 2017 crv which are long paid off. It all sounds silly now that I've written it out but dude, you REALLY made a difference here that's going to positively influence our little family. Wishing you success ✌️
Caleb has had 2 guests on this show, prior to this episode, who he talked with so well - I honestly thought, "He just found his co-host!" She is now guest #3. After she said she stripped old furniture, I couldn't stop thinking she was actually stripping in front of it, then selling it. I laughed at the ridiculousness, then cried cause that's probably a thing
Just in case, stripping furniture is the equivalent of flipping a house. So basically, buying old/damaged stuff, fixing/sanding/painting it and then reselling it for much more.

I wonder how Caleb’s guests feel about the titles and thumbnails he makes about them 🙈😬
They are in on the joke
I often wonder the same thing. I am hopeful that Caleb and his guest discuss exactly what the title will be and he allows them to veto certain terrible things. The guest chose to have this experience typically knowing the show from at least one episode. I have seen ones that haven't seen the show though so I am not positive. This one made me feel wrong though, clearly not dumb.
unfortunately 'level-headed stripper has so much debt' probably doesn't get the clicks. it's all about the clicks/money.

I was a lawyer for about 3 years, mostly in debt collection and foreclosure. The number of lawyers who lost their houses to foreclosure was the biggest shock to me. I would second these comments. I work with several underemployed attorneys who could not find the jobs they wanted after law school. I really hope Caleb or someone on his team goes through these points more carefully outside of the show, I hate seeing bad info given out on student loans (he did not characterize interest on the SAVE plan correctly in a previous episode) or the mortgage here.

Making 12k a month and making bad decisions isn't struggling. She has a job and everything she just didn't make good decisions

I envy this lady for her honesty, beauty and her humor. If I had her looks I'd totally make money like this too.
I'm 20 years old and these people just blow my mind. Half of them make plenty of money and are still in horrible debt.
Hey man these banks will throw money at you if you make decent money but people don't understand that they HAVE to give it back and that time frame to do so a lot shorter then they think
I don't understand how they ignore paying taxes. You will pay.
A vast majority of people step up their spending habits as their income increases dis-portionally , ei get a $10 raise? lets go buy a 50K car!
@@amoose8439easy to vote for higher taxes when you dont pay them.
I love this it helps us to understand how easy we can take the wrong turn
Guest: "one of them fell out of the pocket"
Caleb: "same"
My sides...
As a fellow big man, same. 💀
Your sides fell out of their pockets?
@dedalliance1 testicles. It happens.
That was creapy.
@@joec5544gur slow cant even spell creepy correctly,,, now thats creapay
The joke made sense 😅 I have a feeling a lot of these commenters aren’t aware of secx worker jokes 🤣 for anyone that didn’t get it, usually if someone asks what you’re doing for work and you don’t want to disclose you’re a secx worker, maybe it’s a relative asking, you’ll say ‘oh I’m in accounting’.
So you spent money on a useless degree. Smart... 🤡
I got the joke and thought it was funny 😂
Caleb, thank you so much for this series. I used to be so afraid of my finances that I couldn't even bear to look at my checking account, let alone my credit card statements. Now I look every day, and not just look but analyse! Because of you I was brave enough to find THREE recurring charges that I didn't know about and get fully refunded for the YEARS that they have been charging me without my knowledge. I can't wait to knock out my credit card debt, and it's truly thanks to you :)
This girl seems really cool and capable of fixing her situation. I hope she is making progress on her goals.
Love seeing someone actually listen. Wish more guests were this serious about learning and not arguing.
Definitely not dumb. She was humble and didn’t argue or make excuses.
Being $100k in debt to the IRS is pretty dumb.
Whenever there is an episode where the person makes around the same as I do, that when I really grasp what a difference making good financial decisions can make. I am extremely grateful to have found this channel.
same, it's so much easier when your employer does your taxes for you
There's something about her that is incredibly endearing. Best of luck to her!
This channel is amazing. I watch it when I am feeling myself slipping. I try to picture myself in the chair, and it helps get me back on track. I have also realized I have made some really bad decisions thinking they were good. Here's to slowly correcting them.
Glad Caleb is keeping you in check! Keep up the good work.
I would watch or listen to a show catered around financial content and their banter/conversation. One knowledgeable host, one who's learning and bridging the gap for people who dont quite understand. And, from the sounds of it - she's more handy than him. Could be a fun mix. She was an interesting guest, but in a good way. Another great audit!
that sounds like a great show to watch!! im curious about the other guests you mentioned, i dont watch his videos in order so do you mean the two guests before her?
@lana-cloud hey, sorry - just saw this. Yes, the guests were in order. One was his former intern on the show. They had a nice big brother/little sister vibe going & I'd need to dig back through the episodes for the other one. I'll post the link for the old intern one.

@calebHammer please bring her back
Does she even realize that IRS owed money is accruing compounded interest DAILY!!! This is just terrifying.
Everyone on this show has made some very dumb mistakes financially but she's the most intelligent reasonable, respectful and receptive person Caleb has had on thus far.
After she said she stripped old furniture, I couldn't stop thinking she was actually stripping in front of it, then selling it. I laughed at the ridiculousness, then cried cause that's probably a thing
She should probably market that and create a third income flow
Just in case, stripping furniture is the equivalent of flipping a house. So basically, buying old/damaged stuff, fixing/sanding/painting it and then reselling it for much more.
Okay, this girl here, she's got good energy. Good vibes from that one! Kick ass!
