I like the duality of these two archons. Fitting that their osts are so beautiful together considering their opposing ideologies. Zhongli believes in continuing towards the future. He wants change for his city and put the power to do so in the hands of his people. Whilst Ei just wants everything to stay the same. She takes so much from the people, even their passions (visions), to maintain that nothing will ever change.
Zhongli gave up because of erosion but Ei solved that problem via a puppet body. Ei eternity was meant to prevent inazuma having the same fate as kaenriah but in the end she realised that she needs to trust her people for it
@@DarikZosterI wouldn't say Zhongli gave up, he built the most stable and prosperous nation out of the 7 kingdoms, and retired only after he's confirmed they also had the military might to even defeat Gods on their own Between keeping the status quo of a country who has to rely on their Archon (who will eventually deteriorate due to erosion) for everything, and a new age of self reliant human led nation, he chose the latter
@@cee2597 That makes you wonder why Zhongli isn't afraid of Liyue turning into another Kheanriah while Ei does? My only theory is that Zhongli accepts that nothing lasts forever, if he can erode, so can Celestia. While Ei has not grieved for the loss of her sister and friends yet, thus fears losing more. But it's just a guess, I also hear of another theory that the twins will replace Celestia one day as the Primordial ones and this could be the plan the Abyss twin told Zhongli not to tell the traveler. Knowing what could likely happen in the future reassured him to step down.
@@DarikZoster I don't think Zhongli gave up; I think he realized the people were better off learning to fend for themselves instead of always relying on an invisible force that was sadly fallible. I assume that's also why he hides his identity. He wants the best for them and knows he can't help them until the end of time so he wants them to move on, even if it means leaving him behind.
Zhongli: "It has been two millennia since we last met...Beelzebul...no, Ei. From what I've been informed by a friend of yours, you have put in every measure imaginable to minimize erosion, claiming that such would be optimal for ensuring your reign and peace of mind eternal...yet she and I cannot help but witness you in a state of immense unrest and guilt...not even letting your puppet participate in matters regarding current affairs in Inazuma." Ei: "Morax...no...you've resigned that name in favor of Zhongli...to allow the humans of Liyue to govern their own future. It is most unfortunate that you've been dragged into an affair that you needn't be burdened with. But it is true that a lot has been on my mind as of late, and the events regarding the Fatui's manipulation of Inazuma have left me in shock and shame. But even more than that...I...even though I have an idea with which to redefine what eternity means to me...memories that I thought I had come to terms with have resurfaced with greater force...of my past friends...and my sister." Zhongli: "The bonds forged between oneself, and their significant others is one where everyone involved, figuratively speaking, places a piece of themselves into their established confidants. To lose them is akin to losing a part of oneself due to this process. At first, it seems easier to disconnect...to push away others out of fear of pain. But whether one is a human, an adepti, an Archon...or any other of the sentient beings that live upon Teyvat...all have the need to connect to those like themselves. To form connections to those they consider of true importance. To fulfill the need to both give and receive across a social medium...it has become an instinct to seek out others with which to communicate. It isn't unnatural to feel this way, Ei." Ei: "...I had hoped to suppress the urge to truly reach out to most people after the great cataclysm...for I had lost the one I truly consider my other half. I was but her shadow...for which I would take upon the greatest risk for her safety. And yet...I failed. Makoto gave everything she had to defend Inazuma from the worst of it all...but I couldn't interfere in time to stop that fatal attack that took her life. After all the losses that came before then...losing my sister was too much. I wanted to preserve the best of everything I knew...and let everything else fall away. That was what I rationalized...but the only thing I really did was run away from the world...from the Nation that depended on me. Leaving most matters to a puppet whose difficult programming I put together...nearly became Inazuma's undoing. To keep the worst of the pain from consuming me...I shut out the world by withdrawing into the Realm of Euthymia. But that risks Inazuma going through another crisis like what happened recently. Yet the moment I try to be conscious of the ever-changing world...of the infinite impermanence that reality is...I can barely go through the day without at least one waking nightmare. Surely you know how this feels...you've been around far longer than anyone else I know." Zhongli: "Osmanthus wine tastes the same as I remember...but where are those who share the memory? That's a question I've asked myself every day for thousands of years. I've had friends, acquaintances...even a lover throughout my time alive. Most have come and passed...and I still think about them as if they were alive just yesterday. There is never a day that I do not remember the fond memories that we shared. But while I have mourned and grieved for the ones closest to me who passed on...I keep going on...doing what I can to live the life I wish to live, rather than merely existing due to my nature as an adeptus." Ei: "Does your connection to Geo give you the resilience to withstand greater pain than most? Have you become numb to the worst the world has given you through sheer experience? How do you have the strength to keep going on, interacting with people as if it were as easy as blinking?" Zhongli: "Truly living requires one to be aware of their circumstances and making the most of them...trying to shut it out or otherwise deny it does not constitute a state of living...only a state of existence that is composed of rejecting that which you deem inconvenient. I made a promise to never allow for my state of being to be one of merely existing while everything and everyone passes me by...for I've seen what happens to those who constantly deny themselves the truth of their circumstances as well as their need for being a part of the world. Such is a misery I would never wish upon anyone...much less you." Ei: "...your willpower is greater than I imagined..." Zhongli: "No...my willpower isn't any higher than anyone else I've known. Even I can break with significant duress." Ei: "But how else can you even radiate such an aura of strength and knowledge if you don't have any stronger a mind than anyone else?" Zhongli: "Time doesn't heal all wounds...though one can use time to recover from the worst of it and to move on. There is no one specific 'best' route to happiness or to avoid pain, for life is a journey upon which people learn about the world and themselves. When it will end for me...I do not know. But constantly fearing for the end will not help me in the short or long term, so I'm making the most of my life so that those who passed before me can know that the one standing here is still living. Though I keep mainly to Liyue and have age-old preferences...I do take time out of my day to see the people and to understand them. I've been told that you did some of such with the Traveler before arriving here." Ei: "Y-yes...I have. A lot has changed after two-thousand years. I'm still processing how such affected the literature my citizens read today...though I'll admit that I gained a soft spot for some of the new desserts that've been made in recent times, as well." Zhongli: "So I see. I believe that discovering more about Inazuma's going-ons will help you immensely in recovering from the worst of your past trauma. Not by denying what happened or pretending nothing's wrong, but in understanding that while losing significant others is difficult and painful...you have as much a right to live as anyone else. And I sincerely doubt that anyone who have ever considered you a friend or family would ever content themselves to let you suffer as you have. Yae certainly didn't." Ei: "*sigh* Yae Miko...she always finds a way to get herself wrapped up in my personal matters. But after everything she has done for me...I can't find it in me to fault her for it." Zhongli: "I'm sure that she'd be more than glad to help you on your journey to live. Don't be afraid to talk with her or anyone else you deem appropriate about matters you need a better understanding on." Ei: "Such is why I sought to speak with you, Mor-...I mean, Zhongli. To have a better understanding...and as well as interacting with Yae more often, I wish to have other occasions with which we can just...talk." Zhongli: "I see nothing wrong with that. You are more than welcome to discuss with me whatever you feel is necessary...or to just have a casual conversation." Ei: "Is that a promise?" Zhongli: "From the God of Contracts to the Raiden Shogun...I swear to assist you in any way I can as a friend and confidant." Ei: "I-I don't think you need to be so formal about it..." Zhongli: "When I make a promise to someone, I will keep it until circumstances make such impossible." Ei: "I fear I have a long way to go...are you sure you'd be able to bear with my stumbling on this long journey of life?" Zhongli: "Even if it takes an eternity for you to live in a way you consider best, I will not ignore your plight nor will I let you fall should you be lost. This is my contract to you, Raiden Ei." Ei: "A contract that is good for eternity?" Zhongli: "But of course." Ei: "...thank you, Zhongli."
Oh, my archons that was magnificent. You truly have a great skill writing, you've managed to encapsulate both of their personalities and motives and even created a grounded and believable story and coherent dialogue. Hoping more people should know or see this comment.
🟣: "Traveler, you don't have much time. Get to Celestia now and end this." 🟠: "Beelzebul and I will hold the line here. Make all of this worth it, my friend."
The Eternal Contract That’s the soul purpose of a pact. No matter how much time has passed, no matter whether degradations or erosions have impeded the likelihood of fulfilling one’s request, a promise is still a promise.
If I may ask, did you come up with this quote yourself or did you find it somewhere? I thought is was a very nice quote, so I assumed it might've been part of the game itself (I don't have Zhongli or Ei, so I wouldn't know). If this quote was your own doing, then that's amazing! It's very thought-provoking.
@@sittinghereuntilimneeded I did come up with it myself, ty for the praise. Though I must admit I did try to word it in “Archon-style” Just feels like it could revamp my story writing skills
Kinda fantasizing the last epic battle just all Archons' theme before switching it to the Traveler's theme in Final Fantasy transition.... This is dope.
NAH BECAUSE THIS MADE ME THINK each God can have a sort of "instrument" needed for the final orchestra. Like Venti has more woodwind instruments, while Zhongli is more strings, and Ei is percussion. When you put the rest together it's an epic song of all of the regions and their themes a beautiful reunion and end of an era
"Traveler, I admire your desire to end this war, but alas, this is not a place you belong." Raiden Ei stands towering above the Traveler, speaking to them softly, in a firm tone. The Travelers eyes are wide as they listen to the words that Ei mutters so carefully. "You have taught me, many, many things about Eternity. About Humanity. If I was even being gracious, I'd extend you the gratitude of blessing me with the ability to. . ." Ei looks down at the ground, her eyes becoming glossy. "to move on." She opens her mouth once more, but her words hesitate. "You are not of this world-" The Traveler summons their weapon, and takes a step forward, as if they were to plunge into battle without a second thought. Ei grabs them by the shoulder, and the Traveler glares them down. "Listen to me! This is not your fight! I understand your pain, but the Era of Archons is over. It is time for us to fight our final fight and you, my lowly child, are no god." Ei's expression trembled, there was an uneasiness written all over her body. She sighed, bowing her head, and letting go of the Traveller. "Traveler, I believe it's time I made my final contract." Not realizing Zhongli was in the same space, the Traveler's head had whipped around to face the all-too-familiar voice. The Traveler, realizing their powerlessness against the face of gods, began to tremble. They were not ready to say goodbye to their friends. "When all is said and done, Teyvat will be in great anguish. The Archons will be no more than urban legend. Considering our history together, Humanity will not take our loss lightly. Wars will wage, disasters will occur, and the world will once again be seiged in Chaos." Zhongli aproached the Traveler the longer he spoke, before finally taking their hands in his, and clutching them tightly. "Traveler, when all is said and done, the world will need someone to look up to. I, Morax-" He cut himself off, before shaking his head and smiling lightly. "No, I, Zhongli, a mere mortal, am entrusting Humanity to you, my dear friend. You were always meant to bear witness." The Travelers eyes flush with tears as they begin streaming down their face. "Now, please, allow us to repent for our sins. I'm terribly sorry for having to entrust this duty to you, Traveler." The air feels asphexiating. The Traveler cannot move. They watch, completely helpless, as their friends-- people they cared for deeply --march onwards toward their eventual demise. Celestia, and the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles, will certianly kill them. The only hope they have in defeating her is bringing her down with them. Zhongli flashes the Traveler a smile before he disappears, with Ei by his side. "Remember us, Traveler, and make our story known." The Traveler would never see, nor hear from their friends ever again.
No matter how broke zhongli or radien can't cook. No matter how funny in their fan art. Don't lie we all got bone chill feeling whenever they get serious.
People forget that they are gods. And that if they really wanted too, they can kill millions. Ei could have single handling slice the Resistances home land and let her group pick them off one by one that be the end of that 'threat'. Morax could have beaten the water sperant and his wife by himself despite his corrosion and age. Honestly, the fact that people forget that they are still gods, amuse me.
@@harryvpn1462 He still the strongest archons Miss Ashes that fought the Traveler in front of the throne had stated that Zhongli could have beaten the water serpent easily. And assuming said water serpent was stronger then his wife, he cpuld have easily beaten her as well. Even with corrosion. Corrosion doesn't equal weakness. Zhongli is dying and he will die as all things do unfortunately, but he not powerless. He is still powerful. He wasn't the former God of War for nothing after all.
“We will have a eternal land of freedom where promises are kept and the dreams of the young flourish… you are an enemy of freedom” -Raiden,Zhongli, and Venti probably
@@blank9433 Even so, Zhongli's Q is great for a no damage run against the Wolves since I can apply Raiden's Q right after without fear of getting Corrosion.
That's actually a really great future story tactic. Imagine after we meet all the archons and reunite them after doing alot of quests. Then a war begins. The unknown god is the big bad (probably). When we first met her she only used like 0.01% of her actual power and now she's using more so she's unstoppable. She theratens to destroy the entire world for some story related reason. When all hopes were lost, someone came up with an idea( probably one of the archons ofc). He/she suggests we all combine our powers to stop her and everyone agrees. Archons of all the elements hold hands or something to cast their ultimate togather. Zhongli spawns a bigger meteor and ei electrifies it, the pyro archon puts it on fire, dendro archon puts alot of wood and stuff on it for extra fuel for the fire and venti gives it an extra push with wind( probably in a form of a tornado, hydro and cryo togather freezes the BIG BAD villain for a still target or something IDK how hydro and cryo would improve the meteor. It would just put out the fire. So they use it to slow down the BIG BAD villain. And togather they manage to stop the BIG BAD. Zhongli puts up a sheild so we don't get killed by the shockwave we saved the world. Moral of the story, The power of friendship.
@@thecoolerzhongli5566 the unknown god is the herrscher of the void (Kiana) from Honkai, in her lore she destroy her own world, it got me thinking, is her world the teyvet in a different time line, far as I know the god in Honkai impact is way stronger then god in genshin impact, reading both lore of this 2 games actually got me thinking how the story is gonna end.
Zhongli: The wise, almost all-knowing Protag who's just too lazy and tries to do nothing because it's a (read: backpain) pain Ei: The quiet girl in class who is trusted by many, yet has a cuter and mor easygoing side shown only to her close friends. Venti: The obnoxious, annoying, and sociable glue that ties them together
I can imagine at the final war, Raiden just cast a lighting barrier that separate us between the enemy with that stare from the top of the mountains. Zhongli appears next to her summoning multiple meteors to the enemy. The other archons arrived next to them as they join the war to redeem themselves from their past mistakes.
XXXX years after the Archon War. The Traveller ended their sibling's life with their own hands, only to realise the Abyss order was right all along. The Tsaritsa finally obtained all the Gnosis. Thus begin her rebellion against the divine. A Great War broke out in Teyvat, plunging the land into endless disasters magnitudes worse than the Archon war. Though her newfound power of all 7 Gnoses makes her extremely powerful indeed, she still cannot match the power of Celestia. This is where the Traveller comes into play. She gives all the Gnoses to the Traveller, awakening the Traveller's true power. With their power returned and the aid from all 7 Gnose, they take on Celestial Gods one by one. Morax, fulfilling his contract with The Tsaritsa, spearheads a charge against Celestia along with the other Archons. "The time of the Gods has long gone. Now dawns the age of humanity, no longer do they need the divine protection from Gods. As for Celestia itself... it is time to put an end to this godly tyranny" says The Seven. Perhaps it is due to him not ruling Mondstadt for so long that the Anemo Archon became the weakest among The Seven. A Celestial blow hit him square on the chest, immediately incapacitating him. "Huh.. did i drink too much this time too? Ehehe..." Barbatos mutters as his consciousness fade away. Enraged, the Traveller rushes forward, only to be stopped once again by the Sustainer of the Heavenly Principles. Now that they know the danger of her powers, the Traveller uses all their elemental attacks at once. Though they have learned, the deity is far more powerful than they can imagine. After all, how can the very deity that singlehandedly destroyed Khaenri'ah and Sal Vindagnyr be defeated by the power of the Gnoses that are a part of her own powers? The Sustainer unleashes all of her Erosive blocks, creating a gigantic primogem shape that lunges forward at unimaginable speeds, paralysing the Traveller. The Erosive powers drive all 7 Gnoses out of control. With the Gnoses's power expelled all at once, essentially creating massive elemental reactions withing one's own body strong enough to rip apart reality, the Traveller is knocked unconscious. Despite their best efforts, the Traveller is defeated once more. "Archons... you have become the very thing you swore to destroy. To maintain the heavenly principles, to rule across the land and keeping Celestia reigning supreme... is that not our contract, o' God of Contracts? How can you reach eternity without following the Heavenly Principles, o' God of Eternity? only the Heavenly Principles hold true Wisdom, and yet you dare turn your back against it, o' God of Wisdom? When the chesspiece rebels, it shall be disposed of. You betrayed Us. I shall do to you what I did to those dragons all those millenia ago. Now perish!" says The Sustainer, shooting her blocks toward Barbatos, now but a weak wind sprite. Upon hearing such words, the rage he once felt upon Guizhong's death surfaces once more. After all this time, thinking that Guizhong's sacrifice means something grand, to allow him to finslly feel compassion for mortals, giving him the best time he ever had. A potential partner, and a lifetime best friend, dies much like a chesspiece, defeated by another. Together with Raiden Ei, realising that they have all been made a fool of by Celestia, losing their loved ones for Celestial greed, Unleashes their true Godly forms. "They who break the contract will suffer the wrath of rock. Must I remind you that our contract was to make a safe place for humanity to thrive in?" utters Morax, holding Barbatos in his hands. "I will not let what happened 3700 years ago happen once more," says Morax. Raiden Ei, having flashbacks of her friends killed one by one by the aftermath of the Archon war, unleashes her Musou no Hitotachi, now brimming not only with her power, but her regrets and hatred over the Celestial gods. Losing one's only kin in a war, only to then find out that they are all but cannon fodder in the eyes of the gods is a cruel fate. As the two Archons stand tall will their powers rejuvenated, the desire to protect their friend Barbatos, the hopes and ambition of humanity and their will to survive and thrive, and to not let what happened to countless civilisations millenia ago happen again, Morax and Raiden Ei, taking on Beelzebul's form, teams up to take on the very being that begins history itself. *Cue the song*
This video made me realize that Ei looks better this way and hor cool a dark background is with glowing eyes and the music itself is PHENOMENAL, I love this
It's really amazing how much a short tune can tell... here's what I imagined while listening :) 00:00 It starts out sort of sad, someone longing for a presence, a touch--a desire that cannot be fulfilled. 0:40 the desire becomes stronger, the bearer now unable to comprehend and accept that they cannot get their deepest _want._ 1:18 It spreads and manifests into a thought of rebellion, a topic of resistance. 1:50 It starts to grow bigger, now a fully-fledged _idea,_ but the doubt and sliver of sorrow still manages to seep through the crevices. 2:17 _No_ . The bearer will not let it end like this, the bearer _will_ have what they have longed for for an eternity. The desire the bearer grasps desperately onto in their heart is too great to be abandoned and forgotten. 3:36 The journey is about to end. What the bearer wants is right in front of them, yet seeds of doubt still plague the bearer's heart, nipping at its crevices, biting at the edges. 4:09 It is too late for regrets. The bearer reaches out, arms stretched for their desire, and the inevitable haunts their everything, shattering the windows of all else. Take it as you will, but honestly, I think of this story as how the traveler just wants to see their sibling again, growing impatient every second.
Zhongli --- With the tears we hold, our memories are remembered. Tell sweet glaze lily, why did you turn to dust? Why must you leave me in this world of sorrow and pain? Just why? After all you did I can’t see that smile of you’re anymore. Yet, I will live for you, I will fight these battles for you. Remember my name and I’ll remember yours. Raiden Shogun --- These tears are no more. I’ve grown for Eternity and I shall serve for it. No one shall underestimate Eternity for it is one. They shall suffer if they ever did. Though, leaving Eternity feels like how you left this world. This world without saying a goodbye. Why must a cruel act be set in stone? Leaving me here by myself, so I’ve grown to learn the hard way of this world.
Since we're now starting back with the genshin train, can you do Itto? his is already quite epic, but I wanna hear his theme turned into something sound phenomenally tragic like this one
The image paired with the music makes me feel like the two archons are looking at something like “we are joining forces to stop whatever you’re doing”. And that would be terrifying. Absolutely terrifying.
Ei and zhongli were friends 500 years ago. But because of makato’s death ei basically created the puppet and never seen again for 500 years. I hope one day they’ll meet again.
It'd be interesting if there was an event where Liyue characters like Zhongli, Xinyan, Chongyun, etc. travelled to Inazuma and Zhongli and Ei finally reunite after many years
@@susmitaalam4990It is known that in archon meetings, Ei always accompanied Makoto in said meetings as a bodyguard but she did not dare to talk much with any of the archons since she was just a kagemusha and they were archons (even though Ei was who waged the wars in Inazuma, making being a kagmusha have the power of an archon lol), that's why she didn't talk much with Morax, she watched him with a lot of respect. Now it would be interesting to know how the deal between the two would be, since Ei is in a totally different position, also, it is possible that only Venti and Ei are the only ones capable of sharing memories with Zhongli, so an interaction with these 2 can enrich much more the story of the game.
@@buffedsans8761 Yep. Basically Ei is the orginal of The Sevent. But her position was given to Makoto. Makoto's death does not change the fact that from the start she was worthy of being an Archon. Not just replacing it.
Imagine this is the OST when Zhongli (who knows) does something way too epic in Genshin's plot someday (like using his strongest powers against something). That would give us so much chills😭The epic version sounds so good
I can imagine this is the boss music, in some alternative universe, where you go to war against both Shogun and Morax Honesty would be the most epic scene to date
I've listened to this an irredeemable amount of times and I still get goosies thinking about how cool and emotional endgame Genshin could turn out to be 🙏
This sounds very epic, what a tagteam they could be, a romance as passionate and electrifying as thunder with combined power resilient and stable like rock... I love it.
As a ship, it's very unpopular but I read a really good fic where Zhongli finally went crazy from erosion and Ei had to fight him. It was sad and beautiful at the same time 😭
I feel like this would be played at the end of the game. You lose the war with Celestia, but deep down still have that burning hope and determination. Something like that, this is epic.
Written to this music cause we love a cinematic aura-inducing audio. Glowing brown eyes pierced through the grey fog obscuring the island's surroundings. Two hands firmly grasped a heavy metal polearm hosted on his shoulder. The world echoed his call as he slowly took two steps forward. Small rocks shifting beneath his feet, light forming and disappearing beneath each step along the pathway. How he wished things were different. How he wished, we as people were different. That's when he saw her. Light purple eyes peering back at him through the misty skies. A gentle yet dangerous lilac color danced between the hairs of her very own braid. The material of her kimono swayed in the breeze which grew stronger and stronger by the minute. "For Eternity," she lowly voiced her tone light in nature yet underlyingly unavoidable authority flickered between each syllable. "Inazuma under my rule shall always prosper. An oath," she pauses, the fabric still flapping in the wind, reflecting off the distant lightning beginning to cackle. "I did not, do not, take lightly." The elegant attire hugged her curves as she stood as if a lion on pride rock, warning of the call of any advisory. "Dare *you* defy my will, Morax?" "I dare not." "Though, Ei, all things must come to an end one day. Even for archons as ourselves." "Do not call upon the name of one which *has died,* Morax." She growled in warning. A strange spark escaped her hair flashing and sizzling before bouncing off into the nearby water. Hissing as it reacted to its liquid counterpart. Those purple eyes never leaving his face, silent emotion echoed in stature she too slowly materialized a spear bracing it. It too dancing with a light rouge streak of lightning along its metallic surface. He said nothing just took another step closer to the woman above silently. Mountains in the background slowly rumbled awaiting, heeding the man's call, a low ambient shake moved along the ground. Cackling as if the very ground planned to rise at any moment active with an unknown, unseen, energy. "Even contracts must be fulfilled one day." A deep growl rolled across his chest leaving his lips. "As do lives of those which dare face against me, meet their end fulfillment." She echoed back porcelain mask still dawning her face as she bites back. A interlaced poison oozing within each word. "A promise, I make to you." Her mask cracks a sneer forcefully flashing across her beautiful face, sending her upper lip into an intrusive snarl. "Or shall we say a promised... Contact, dear... dear... *Morax* ?"
@@waferae mmmmm, I don't know. Probably not, I kinda enjoyed a villain arch from Zhongli and him sinking inazuma. 🗿😂😂 I could I have ideas of how it could continue, but it seems enough to make you wonder but a good stopping point.
Now there needs to be an Archon quest where Zhongli and Raiden meet face to face after a long time and crazy stuff happen that you get dragged into and this track should be the theme should be used during the epic cut scenes.
This reminds me of how much I loved Ei's character before the Inazuma arc concluded lmao. That cinematic of her friends passing away was better than the entire Inazuma archon quest, and it hurts me to remember this, especially since Ei's hangout was both a *great* exploration of her character, but an _AWFUL_ epilogue to the archon quest.
there was no great exploration of her character whatsoever, and nothing about it was an epilogue to the archon quest at all so you can't even call it awful in that aspect, it was a nothing quest, cute dating sim, and then a flex of authority at the end accompanied by a nice fight scene, that's all there was to it, but yes they set up some decently high expectations for her before the inazuma archon quest
@@TJ_Sind2000 All quests can be boiled down to something dumb if you try hard enough. Ei's storyquest could've had better execution, but it serves its purpose as it is: a starting point for Ei to reconnect with her people and to rethink her view on eternity. It's also part 1 and isn't supposed to be a standalone quest, it opens on a few points that will be addressed and concluded later. Like what Ei will do, about the Shogun puppet, the storm she created, etc. etc. I feel like people have really missed the point here.
If you think that was a date then you clearly weren't paying attention. It was basically Raiden's reintroduction to present Inazuma with all the boomer energy it entailed.
The ending was hype as fuck even if once you stop to think about it you realize how it just happened But also her normal character mission does fit the entire thing yae setup abot she being completely out of touch, even if taking her out for a walk was kind of random and ballsy I liked that mission
@@TJ_Sind2000 the so called cute dating sim was an opening plot to her 2nd quest. Doing the 2nd quest without doing the 2st one would be weird and out of place. The 1st set the pace while the 2nd tells us the true story
Bro i got chills. I can just imagine the aether/lumine fighting the unknown god and losing, suddenly after not being able to handle watching any longer, morax and ei go in to battle to help them. As strong as the unknown god is, ei and morax could hold off the god long enough for the siblings to end Celestia. (Just my own thought i guess)
Both Zhongli and Ei have great presences as Archons/gods. You know they are one, at least (sorry, Venti, but you're kind of.... mmm, love you tho) and this piece is just so fitting for those two. I feel like it really captures their characters

I dont know why but listening to this makes me cry if you think about zhonglis and guizhongs final meeting then the music switches and we could think of it as zhongli when he was killing all the enemies that were closing in with them as they make their final farewell Edit:Im out of Primos and forgot to use this song to summon him

Ei eternity was meant to prevent inazuma having the same fate as kaenriah but in the end she realised that she needs to trust her people for it
Their element choice is kind of ironic. The god of lighting wishing for permanence while the god of unmoving mountains pushes forward.
@@DarikZosterI wouldn't say Zhongli gave up, he built the most stable and prosperous nation out of the 7 kingdoms, and retired only after he's confirmed they also had the military might to even defeat Gods on their own
Between keeping the status quo of a country who has to rely on their Archon (who will eventually deteriorate due to erosion) for everything, and a new age of self reliant human led nation, he chose the latter

Venti cries in a corner
Zhongli: "It has been two millennia since we last met...Beelzebul...no, Ei. From what I've been informed by a friend of yours, you have put in every measure imaginable to minimize erosion, claiming that such would be optimal for ensuring your reign and peace of mind eternal...yet she and I cannot help but witness you in a state of immense unrest and guilt...not even letting your puppet participate in matters regarding current affairs in Inazuma."
Ei: "Morax...no...you've resigned that name in favor of Zhongli...to allow the humans of Liyue to govern their own future. It is most unfortunate that you've been dragged into an affair that you needn't be burdened with. But it is true that a lot has been on my mind as of late, and the events regarding the Fatui's manipulation of Inazuma have left me in shock and shame. But even more than that...I...even though I have an idea with which to redefine what eternity means to me...memories that I thought I had come to terms with have resurfaced with greater force...of my past friends...and my sister."
Zhongli: "The bonds forged between oneself, and their significant others is one where everyone involved, figuratively speaking, places a piece of themselves into their established confidants. It isn't unnatural to feel this way, Ei."
Ei: "...I had hoped to suppress the urge to truly reach out to most people after the great cataclysm...for I had lost the one I truly consider my other half. Surely you know how this feels...you've been around far longer than anyone else I know."
Zhongli: "Osmanthus wine tastes the same as I remember...but where are those who share the memory? That's a question I've asked myself every day for thousands of years. I've had friends, acquaintances...even a lover throughout my time alive. Most have come and passed...and I still think about them as if they were alive just yesterday. There is never a day that I do not remember the fond memories that we shared. But while I have mourned and grieved for the ones closest to me who passed on...I keep going on...doing what I can to live the life I wish to live, rather than merely existing due to my nature as an adeptus."
Ei: "Does your connection to Geo give you the resilience to withstand greater pain than most? Have you become numb to the worst the world has given you through sheer experience? How do you have the strength to keep going on, interacting with people as if it were as easy as blinking?"
Zhongli: "Truly living requires one to be aware of their circumstances and making the most of them...trying to shut it out or otherwise deny it does not constitute a state of living...only a state of existence that is composed of rejecting that which you deem inconvenient. I made a promise to never allow for my state of being to be one of merely existing while everything and everyone passes me by...for I've seen what happens to those who constantly deny themselves the truth of their circumstances as well as their need for being a part of the world. Such is a misery I would never wish upon anyone...much less you."
Ei: "...your willpower is greater than I imagined..."
Zhongli: "No...my willpower isn't any higher than anyone else I've known. Even I can break with significant duress."
Ei: "But how else can you even radiate such an aura of strength and knowledge if you don't have any stronger a mind than anyone else?"
Zhongli: "Time doesn't heal all wounds...though one can use time to recover from the worst of it and to move on. I've been told that you did some of such with the Traveler before arriving here."
Ei: "Y-yes...I have. A lot has changed after two-thousand years. I'm still processing how such affected the literature my citizens read today...though I'll admit that I gained a soft spot for some of the new desserts that've been made in recent times, as well."
Zhongli: "So I see. Yae certainly didn't."
Ei: "*sigh* Yae Miko...she always finds a way to get herself wrapped up in my personal matters. But after everything she has done for me...I can't find it in me to fault her for it."
Zhongli: "I'm sure that she'd be more than glad to help you on your journey to live. Don't be afraid to talk with her or anyone else you deem appropriate about matters you need a better understanding on."
Ei: "Such is why I sought to speak with you, Mor-...I mean, Zhongli. To have a better understanding...and as well as interacting with Yae more often, I wish to have other occasions with which we can just...talk."
Zhongli: "I see nothing wrong with that. You are more than welcome to discuss with me whatever you feel is necessary...or to just have a casual conversation."
Ei: "Is that a promise?"
Zhongli: "From the God of Contracts to the Raiden Shogun...I swear to assist you in any way I can as a friend and confidant."
Ei: "I-I don't think you need to be so formal about it..."
Zhongli: "When I make a promise to someone, I will keep it until circumstances make such impossible."
Ei: "I fear I have a long way to go...are you sure you'd be able to bear with my stumbling on this long journey of life?"
Zhongli: "Even if it takes an eternity for you to live in a way you consider best, I will not ignore your plight nor will I let you fall should you be lost. This is my contract to you, Raiden Ei."
Ei: "A contract that is good for eternity?"
Zhongli: "But of course."
Ei: "...thank you, Zhongli."

I'm terribly sorry for having to entrust this duty to you, Traveler."
The air feels asphexiating.

Everybody gangsta until Zhongli drops Guizhongs dumbell meteor while Beelzebul electrifies that meteor.

Damb I wish

You can't just end it there! I absolutely need more to read it was so well written
Nah sorry lads. I made up that story while being high on caffeine and unable to sleep. Glad you enjoyed it though.
Amazing writing. Actually got goosebumps reading this. The cue part...absolute perfection.

What Jenshin music you'd like to listen in my style?
please make itto/gorou music mix in epic version. would be banger!
I have 2, childe's all phases of the boss fight and the new lantern rite festival trailer music :D
Oh wow another Genshin Impact mv
queen of narakumi island, yoimiya's main theme is one of the best IMO.
Enkanomiya theme and Judgement of Euthymia theme. I feel like that would be a banger.
This video made me realize that Ei looks better this way and hor cool a dark background is with glowing eyes and the music itself is PHENOMENAL, I love this
"To protect the people of this world, that is our eternal contract"
It's really amazing how much a short tune can tell... here's what I imagined while listening :)
00:00 It starts out sort of sad, someone longing for a presence, a touch--a desire that cannot be fulfilled.
Take it as you will, but honestly, I think of this story as how the traveler just wants to see their sibling again, growing impatient every second.
wow this is so beautifully written

Zhongli and Raiden be sus

Spo you are saying
Zhongli x Venti = Xiao
Zhongli x Raiden = Yunjin?
@@antares_m20 wtf zhongli + venti??
Zhongli ---
With the tears we hold, our memories are remembered.
Tell sweet glaze lily, why did you turn to dust? Why must you leave me in this world of sorrow and pain? Just why? After all you did I can’t see that smile of you’re anymore. Yet, I will live for you, I will fight these battles for you. Remember my name and I’ll remember yours.
Raiden Shogun ---
These tears are no more.
Amazing words
This made me shed a tear.
:c makes me sad
Amazing
its the 2nd line on Zhongli talking about Guizhong?
The thumbnail is great with zhongli and raiden together
Since we're now starting back with the genshin train, can you do Itto? his is already quite epic, but I wanna hear his theme turned into something sound phenomenally tragic like this one
I'm trying to dig emotional piece concept for genshin characters, hopefully i can come up with such fresh ideas!
@@FrostudioChambersonic best of luck in trying to find inspiration! I'll be looking forward to it 😁

Two Archon make one eternal *masterpiece*
The image paired with the music makes me feel like the two archons are looking at something like “we are joining forces to stop whatever you’re doing”. And that would be terrifying. Absolutely terrifying.
"Masterpiece" would still be an understatement for this work of art
The image be like: "We're not angry, we're just disappointed"
Ei and zhongli were friends 500 years ago. But because of makato’s death ei basically created the puppet and never seen again for 500 years. I hope one day they’ll meet again.
Well, they do. In my team it is :D
in my serenitiea pot
That would give us so much chills😭The epic version sounds so good
oh gosh i got chills from your comment

This sounds very epic, what a tagteam they could be, a romance as passionate and electrifying as thunder with combined power resilient and stable like rock... I love it.

Ahhh my favorites!!! This is Beautiful! So excited for the zhongli rerun by the way 😌 Good Luck!
You deserve a lot of views and subscribers, great work
Zhongli: I'm the Guardian of your life.
Ei: I'm the eternity of your existence.
Zhongli and Shogun: we will have eternity!
Childe: I will have the bill!
Oh my goodness, this is just marvelous! I had nonstop chills while listening to this masterpiece!
Bro when the beat of zhongli's theme drop it's so epic bro 😭🔥🔥🔥
"I did not, do not, take lightly."
The elegant attire hugged her curves as she stood as if a lion on pride rock, warning of the call of any advisory.
"Dare *you* defy my will, Morax?"
"I dare not."
"Though, Ei, all things must come to an end one day. Even for archons as ourselves."
"Do not call upon the name of one which *has died,* Morax." She growled in warning.
Contact, dear... dear... *Morax* ?"
You my friend are onto something with this piece.
Pls continue.

Now there needs to be an Archon quest where Zhongli and Raiden meet face to face after a long time and crazy stuff happen that you get dragged into and this track should be the theme should be used during the epic cut scenes.
YES
This masterpiece was posted for free? This sounds like it belongs in a movie
Sounds like a song that would be played in a cutscene if Zhongli and Ei died together
This one of the best things i have ever stumbled upon.
Thanks for this Masterpiece!
Zhongli on his way to bring back ei and transforms into his old archon form while this masterpiece plays, "I will have ei back!"
What?
A RUclips recommendation finally hits the spot. This is just ambrosia to the ears.
The edit on screen fits with the music so well even though its just zhongli slapped onto the shogun teaser with some shading and glowing
If Ei and Zhongli team up in 2nd Archon war every other Archon would just leave the battle ground.
Basically what Orobashi did
Ikr
The ending was hype as fuck even if once you stop to think about it you realize how it just happened
But also her normal character mission does fit the entire thing yae setup abot she being completely out of touch, even if taking her out for a walk was kind of random and ballsy I liked that mission
Well I hope 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Both Zhongli and Ei have great presences as Archons/gods. You know they are one, at least (sorry, Venti, but you're kind of.... mmm, love you tho) and this piece is just so fitting for those two. I feel like it really captures their characters
Zhongli: Contract
Raiden: Eternity
Together: Eternal Contract

"The Listener's Nightmare"
I dont know why but listening to this makes me cry if you think about zhonglis and guizhongs final meeting then the music switches and we could think of it as zhongli when he was killing all the enemies that were closing in with them as they make their final farewell
Edit:Im out of Primos and forgot to use this song to summon him
Really feels like I'm on a battlefield, and this is just so relaxing to the ears
I don't know why, but i cried
I mean... This is awesome
This mash-up is incredible
I feel the pain, melancholy, and also lonliness while listening to it.

Thank You for my new fav track
Amazing...It never occurred to me that these two pieces could be combined. I love this.
If the soundtrack for the final battle isn't going to be something like this i am going to cry.
I was SO eager for that part at 4:09 and thought it’d never arrive at some point but when it finally did oh my goood that was amazing
Hearing this i imagine how a zhongli raging scene would be like , like someone like osial came in and did something or someone who had done something in the past and zhongli just goes berserk trying to kill them
Wow why doesn't this video have more views? This sounds amazing! RUclips algorithm is failing apparently.
