I love these cars. My last one (a 1.8 gdi auto) cost me £80 and drove as a daily workhorse without issue for 18 months. My first one was a 1.6 auto in a rare saloon. Id have them both back in a heartbeat
The bodywork goes before the engine does. As long as it's regularly serviced the engine lasts...but of course at that mileage previous maintenance history is very important.
@@justsomeguywithtattoos6267 if it's auto check gearbox. Get car up to temperature and go thru the gears and check there's no clunking. Also it's good to check the gearbox oil under the hood, it should be pink.
@@justsomeguywithtattoos6267 just check the biting point of the clutch to make sure it's not too worn otherwise it's about £300-400 for replacement clutch
What’s interesting about the Carisma is that is was made in the same factory as the Volvo S40 (1st gen), NedCar in Born, The Netherlands. They both share the same chassi, and design over-all, especially the rear lights. I think is looks really good actually, as does the S40.
It's not ugly. It is actually quite pretty :)
I don't get why people don't like the design of this car. I'm in love with the design. Simple, classy, cool. Love the front, love the back window.
I got this car in black it’s amazing

Oh wow, oh to be able to get a car for £80..at this rate I think we'll need that much just for a pint of milk these days 😀
@@sutsi Ikr? I look at carismas often on ebay and some are still fetching around the £1500 now. Crazy how things have changed since Covid
@@BilbosBaggedYouand i bought mine for 1600 today, manual doe, only 100 000km as well

I'm thinking of buying one with 280k km on it, how much do these usually last?

What a classic motor
Brother what type of antifreeze water for this car
I use the pink long life one ..but you can also use the blue one. I mix 50/50 with ionised water and concentrate
@@sutsi thank you brother
The pink D12 OK?
I'm surprised this car I bought this month is still look good and same in the vidio
is the engine good?
Engine is solid on these. Just need regular maintenance that's it
The rear looks like a worse BMW E46, the front looks cool, horizontal and low
ничего не понял )но каризму узнал )
Its better than TATA, right?
Oh definitely
The design looks a bit like a Honda
True...very Japanese indeed
