Sound on! I have taken a new spy video of the Audi RS4 Avant successor during some hot laps on the Nürburgring. The next generation will be called RS5 Avant, because the combustion engines at Audi will only receive odd numbers in future. The new model is expected to be unveiled next year with an downsizing engine and for the first time Plug-in-Hybrid. As you can hear or not hear ;-) the typical RS sound has gone and sounds rather unemotional.

I wish they’d bring it to the U.S. market, so many of us would go crazy over this, the RS6 seems to have done well, this is less expensive and is smaller to move around so theres no doubt they’d sell more of these. Long live the RS4(RS5) Avant

Theres a sportback 4 door coupe a5 and s5 testing so theres no reason why they wouldnt also make a sportback rs5

Isn't an "RS5 Avant" normally called "RS4"? What's the difference? From my understanding the RS4 is Avant and RS5 is the Coupe/Limo version of it.

Audi is renaming their line-up.
All even numbered models will be EV only (A4, A6 and possibly the A8), while the uneven will still be ICE/Hybrid models (A3, A5 now as an avant too, and the A7).

Have you heard the new m5 touring? There aren't any engine sound and it weights more than 2.5 tonnes and it's slower than previous m5 😂At least audi sounds something. Aaand rsq8 is fastest suv on the ring aaaaand rs3 is the fastest car in it's class on the ring. So bye bye bmw.😂😂

They just renamed it. Same with rs6 avant. New rs6 avant will be named rs7 avant

The exhaust is mutened because it’s a prototype and it’s filmed from far away with a lot of zoom.
