  • The Electrolux Model 12, from 1934 in this case is done. A lot of work went into this, both from myself and from Mr HooverLux! What was once a barely running, filthy, neglected piece of trash is now a stunning collection piece! So, let me show you how it turned out, and how well it works now!

A person who had this and a Hoover 800 had everything that they needed to clean a house for a lifetime in their time.

Great refurb job Sam - you really put some effort into this one. for something that is 85 years old, it is in incredibly good condition. Pity about the hose, but if its not being used and just on display, then it will be just fine - like you say, its not going to be a daily driver, so demoing it with a Numatic hose was a good idea, to show how good the suction is.

I've always loved the sound of the old American Electroluxs. I need to refurb my Model XXXs. Maybe I'll find one of those one day.

I know, its amazing isn't it! Stick a plastic/non leaking hose on it and it'll be fab! I'd use one for a month if I owned one

    Magnificent!
We had a treasure that followed these named the Model XXX or Model 30.
One thing that I’ve never seen is a Miele President of this era or up to the 1950s in running condition on RUclips.
