      It seems that Dyneema has been eclipsed by Ecopack or Ultra 200 as some have labeled it.
      Some backpack manufacturers have even abandoned Dyneema!
      Ecopack may even have a better environmental record, as it is apparently made/recycled from the ubiquitous plastic bottle.

      @@msilverhammer Thank you for your comment. At Dyneema, we wholeheartedly support our environmental claims. Our product is crafted using bio-based fiber and undergoes a stringent environmentally conscious production process right here in the USA. This commitment is what sets us apart as the leader in green strength fiber.
      Dyneema has consistently been at the forefront of innovation in the fiber industry, introducing groundbreaking fibers and pioneering manufacturing processes. As far as we're concerned, Dyneema Composite Fabric (DCF) represents the pinnacle of material technology. It's not just another laminated fabric like the ones you may have come across. We take immense pride in not only developing the fibers but also refining the entire production process.
      However, we don't rest on our laurels. We're constantly pushing the boundaries, working on the next generation of high-performance materials that will be even more environmentally friendly than the current generation. Stay tuned for some exciting developments on the horizon!

    Hi there thanks for the informative vid. I often wonder about people who are sensitive to PFC’s and glues, I would really appreciate your opinions on CT9Hw6 and whether or not Dyneema laminates have toxic elements to them.

    I have been reading about Ecopack, or Ultra 200 as some have labeled it.
    All of my research indicates that Ecopack is superior to Dyneema.
    I have noticed that some backpack manufacturers have abandoned Dyneema in favor of Ecopack.
    I wonder if/how this will change your outlook and opinion of Dyneema.
    It seems obvious that as a Dyneema distributor, that you, and your company seemingly have a large investment in Dyneema.
    If Ecopack is actually a superior product in regards to cost, weight. versatility, performance, strength, environmental impact, etc., will you start incorporating it into your product line?
    Would appreciate your honest feedback, and even a video on this subject.

    Can you bond cloud 71 to dyneema without sewing? I love my nemo bug out tarp but would like a lighter version for backpacking.

    • @dutch3323
      @dutch3323  Год назад +1

      There is likely a way to do this but without some testing, we couldn't tell you for sure. Best bet is likely to sew it together and then use single sided dyneema tape as seam tape overtop of the stitches.

    I can't wait for some company to start producing Dyneema type fabrics at a lower price since the US patent has expired. I assume we'll see non-Dyneema made CTF3 fabric after December 2024, when the EU patents expire.

      Amen to that. I’d like a dyneema tarp, but F the price!
