Thx Mike for this great video. Two days ago I had a Polo2 (very similar to Polo 25) with black screen and it was because of the open transformer (near HOT). You have mentioned this on another great video of yours. Also, I'll keep notes for the caps you mentioned (brightness, etc) because I where I live are full of Hantarex chassis. Thanks again, waiting for your next video.

You just repaired my favorite chassis. My 25"polo has that same beautiful picture .Compared to my test rig WG 27" Zenith .Some day I will most likely need to change out those same parts. Do you think maybe that chassis was tagged "washed out" before the fly back was replaced? Thanks for another very informative video.

Mike I have a K7000A where the image is mildly expanded in the center and compressed on the edges horizontally. Is there a horizontal linearity adjustment on the K7000A?

No. See if there is an extra magnet on top of the linearity coil. If so, remove it.

Can you explain what the "open winding on the drive transformer would be? Is it something visibly wrong or something you need to test with the multimeter?

The wire that is wrapped around the coil to create the horizontal drive voltage is broken at the connection posts. Yes, you can ohm out the two posts and if you get no reading, the wire is broken.

Thanks Mike, very good. The screws may have come from the cage when u found the two filter caps.
Regarding Poly caps, you not really mentioned to replace them all, interesting. One thing thats bothering me is differences between chassis, there is Polo2, Polo Star, Polo 1, Polo 33, Polo 25/28 let alone Polos for 125v vs 250v AND there is a 20inch Polo and I cant see ther difference between some of them. Also there is a B+ guide when there is different voltages that I was reading on the forums. I got to put the Polo 33 on a tube next week and I just dont see the difference so presumed it was poly's.
In another video you also talked about ticking (slow vs fast), which indicated where that fault was ... so all good.

I'm 17 minutes in, and it occurred to me "PNL worked on this last, didn't they?" 17:03 you can see their sticker. that explains the hackery. 🙄

R167 is the vertical IC supply voltage resistor. one of the fusible ones. usually implies the vertical IC is shorted, so it'll go open (like a fuse). I had a Polo many years ago where R177 was also bad, never analyzed where that is on the schematics in relation to R167 though.

so I was going through my chassis box and pulled one of those flybacks out and was like "what is this?" that's the flyback PNL put on mine. when I sent it to Arcadecup after, Chad left that flyback in the box and put his on instead. it's from a Polo/2, and it doesn't have that long wire that goes into the hole you referenced at the beginning of the video. I'll send you pictures tomorrow.
