The machine makes its unique hypnotic music and Chris is the conductor pressing, pulling, pushing the levers and pedals with the same finesse a maestro waves his baton. Poetry in motion? No, better; commerce, construction, real work with value.
I enjoy watching you do this kind of magic work in the water. Never saw anyone do that. My Dad had 1 arm and drove large trucks with red dirt to build I65 Highway that went through Hartselle Alabama, I liked watching those graders and pans moving dirt. Daylight till dark. I went into the army 1969 when I returned to states 1973 100 miles were finished.
That water can't be good on that bad idler they didn't fix. Just make sure the equipment is extra muddy for them when you take it back to get fixed. That'll teach them, lol. Great video.
The machine is washable, I like it clean too,but I'm not spending 10 man hours a week to do so,we wash once a week if it needs it or not,2 man hours per machine,5 man hours at most, a little dirt doesn't hurt the machine and it still gets the job done and if there's a little bit of dirt on it it doesn't hurt the company's name that bad just shows that we work
That one clump of dirt in the middle of the water at the end would have bothered me. In fact, I am wondering if it is still sitting there by itself, lol.
Maybe you could invest in an Aquapac which is a bladder you fill with water to dam off your work area. Do all the excavating, get the excavator out of there, then pump the water out of the Aquadam
Close the dang window , please sir some of us had to start out on junk with no a/c and all its glass. To then be cooked. Like the ant we fried as kids under our magnifying glass.
Does the undercarriage not last as long being submerged in water? I know most of the bearings are sealed but was just curious if the water affected it. Awesome video as always! Thanks for posting
Hello my name is Jeff mahan I am from Colorado USA and I do that paperwork for a living but I run caterpillar not how's the difference between cat and Volvo
I bet if you are not use to it after 8-12 hrs you would be sore as a fat man playing twister. When I first started out with the railroad working in the yard switching out cars all the banging and coupler slack would shake the heck out of ya! As technology has advanced so have the comforts.
Good video Chris. I'm curious what kind of material do you have in your area? You don't seem to ever have any rocky material like we have here in utah.
motoxhead16 I always thought he was in the Carolinas. Can’t remember if it was north or south though. It seems like I see him digging a lot of clay (makes sense with the ponds he does). I could be totally off though.

I never realised how good he is operating that thing until now! Making it look simple and smooth👍👍

Bail faster, you’re taking on water!!!
Thanks for the video.
Pretty confident that Chris isn't going to allow the machine to get damaged.
Can't wait to see that job done love how you take care of your equipment I wouldn't be a scared to buy anything from you good videos
Thanks for the video, it's been fun watching the progress on this job.
That thing makes the 250 seem crazy fast. Wonder if it ever got straightened out. Or us it just that slow?
You have come a long way I watched some old videos from 7 years ago. Congrats
Can you explain on a video how the controls work on the 290, thanks.
Most guys would have the glass and the whole machine covered in mud. Your a true professional
Your awesome and you make those ponds really beautiful makes me want one dug if I had the land to put it on
your operating skills are like a feather floating down from sky
Very nice job again 290 goes swimming, water must not come to high !

Awesome operator you are. Great videos you do.
Yoda?

̇George H. If I lived in that part of NC I’d be out there with a hand rake it’s bothering my ocd so bad
Exactly, lol.
̇George H. I'm really surprised he left it
I watched your last video on lake dredging with 250 and then forwarded on this video. Just now i see how much 290 was slow/slower.:-)
Ended too soon. I wanted to see you crawl up out of that hole. Show us some moves!
Maybe you could invest in an Aquapac which is a bladder you fill with water to dam off your work area.
Do all the excavating, get the excavator out of there, then pump the water out of the Aquadam
Water? I thought that was idler lubrication fluid..? :-)
That pump sure makes a lot of noise on that 290...
Hiiii my friend Chris !!! Don't you think your fishing "rod" is a little big ....? Best regards !
Happy holidays Chris
great video.
You still have a manual thumb on it... Cooperheadmarine would so proud
Do you wash your machines yourself? nothing worse to me than clay in those tracks
What are you using to edit your videos?
Close the dang window , please sir some of us had to start out on junk with no a/c and all its glass.

That 290 a bad dude.
It is truly mesmerizing!!
When you're working in tight areas like this where you ain't sure if the back end will scrape. What technique do you use to be sure?
Good job Chris! I wonder if the water will be clear with that rock bottom?
David Harris yeah it should. It was nice and clear before I started
Where are you in North Carolina. I was born in asheboro. Good state to live in. I hate Tennessee where I am now.

Elite Earthworks LLC doesn't do much. Some say you should change oil in final drives though
Can you make a vid how it all works
I imagine you left a ramp to climb out of the pond?
machines will not always stay clean but they made pressure washers for a reason :D
MrGiovannix12 *fire hose
A Ramp would be useful.
Nice bit of work... 😁
Excellent job beautiful work
That stopped the squeaky undercarriage!
Seems like your allways in water why don't you have drain holes in the buckets
Not a very good bucket if it had holes in it. 😂
Very good job your doing .
leo D l inn
DANG this looks like fun!!
Hello my name is Jeff mahan I am from Colorado USA and I do that paperwork for a living but I run caterpillar not how's the difference between cat and Volvo
That be one way to wash the undercarriage of your excavator...
I would love to get in to running heavy equipment
Do your clients sub your channel to watch the work?
I bet if you are not use to it after 8-12 hrs you would be sore as a fat man playing twister. When I first started out with the railroad working in the yard switching out cars all the banging and coupler slack would shake the heck out of ya! As technology has advanced so have the comforts.
Now your undercarriage is going to squeak!
That would have sucked if you broken down right there in that water would hate to have to work on the machine in that water.
I AM BIGFOOT he'd have to crutch it or drag itself out
Depending on what broke on it yeah you could do that but it would still suck anyway.
Good video Chris. I'm curious what kind of material do you have in your area? You don't seem to ever have any rocky material like we have here in utah.
I believe he lives in/around Georgia. Its all clay down here, with silt and rocks mixed in.
motoxhead16 I always thought he was in the Carolinas. Can’t remember if it was north or south though. It seems like I see him digging a lot of clay (makes sense with the ponds he does). I could be totally off though.
It could very well be the Carolinas. That's why I said around. Geography's mostly the same anyway, at least to my scrub eyes.
Couldn't y'all order a bigger counter weight? To put on the back of the 290?
Sup y'all................................................................
I want to see more huge dam busting. Those are fun.
