Brilliant, brave soldier of justice. Let us rise and meet her challenge for daily service to change this country and world and make it better for our children and grandchildren. We owe it to all of the children to come. We can do better and we must.

Hell of a speech. The black community should be ashamed of itself for not acknowledging and celebrating this queen in the way she deserves. She just has that "It factor"

Don't blame Black people. Blame White media.

@@StrongSingleMom This is correct. Status quo media conglomerates prefer to create enemies out of the black panthers and Malcom x and lionize martyred peaceful types like MLK. The democratic activism of Ella Baker that empowers every human being on earth and uses inscrutable grassroots tactics can't be lionized by mass media, it is the greatest threat to their power structures.

She was a warrior we don't have warriors any more. We fools and cowards.

What a phenomenal woman! Though Dr. King, Malcolm X, and other male leaders are the "faces" of the Civil Rights movement-- women like her are the backbone! We would not have gotten as far as we did without her. May she rest in peace

Listening here her now in Venezuela makes me feel like we've been left behind by all those who carried her last word in this speech "those who think life is more important than property value must be heard now" we did hear them and they stole from us..

She was overshadowed by Fannie Lou Hamer but she was just as important. It took a long time for the Black leadership to accept them as part of the team. Also they don't about them in Black history classes.
