One thing always surprises me about Karma videos is his positioning, somehow people just ignore him completely and quite often, I would honestly consider it cheating but I met you in a lobby once and saw you in action. Thanks for the new flanker video, very informative and helpful as usual.
Karma is different, even against the best players, he used to do incredible things, when he didn’t have a team, when he played with the worst internet and the worst computer, anyone who’s been with him for a long time knows
it probably has to do with how the enemies position themselves and how self aware you are, but no matter how self aware you might be theres always the chances of someone coming out of nowhere and slamming you out of the air, I guess its about how fast you react to it and the direction.

The R77-1 would be nice. They use ramjets instead of a solid rocket. Which give much better acceleration and thus can hold more energy as more energy is available.

It's all positioning and good decision making over the course of a match, it's not really something easily learned. U can work on it but u won't be as good as him overnight.
thanks to your help Karma i managed to at least understand the tactics of the last video about the Su-27SM before it's buff i think when flying aggerssively headon and firing the R-77 at 7K meters did help me net a lot of kills and sometimes ended up with an ace and it did suit me better than playing passively and baiting enemy missiles
whoever gets the chance to attack first always has the advantage, and now that the flanker can do that, even if it's not the best at it, it's already a big change in how to play. Good luck on the new sorties!

A good start but I feel we still need a version with a decent radar, n001 can have as much as 8 sec delay between scans, coupled with no arc options makes for a very bad radar.
It took them 20 patches to do what they should have done in the first place. They fixed the Typhoon one day after it was released. I guess the Russian bias isn't a thing anymore.😂😂

have you noticed that the r27's underneath the wings now block flaps from lowering, i used to always use them combined with air brake to do quick 180s or lowering speed to notch quick enough

Yes, all flanker platforms got that buff (I'm unsure if the Su-33 and 34 got it though...) However the Su-27SM is the only one to have received better engines (AL-31F-M1), the J-11s still have the classic AL-31F engines
Kind of a middle ground between the 2 It can do long range shots like the AMRAAM (just a bit lower in range) and it has good 38g maneuvering (although not as quick as the R-77)
I'm glad they finally fixed the FM, it was about time and the only way to keep Russia competitive against the new top tier jets. However, now it got the upgraded engines this "SM" is now a bit of a weird amalgamation of an actual SM and an SM3, definitely the most Frankenstein top tier out there. Maybe they should just split it in two variants or make a researchable SM3 modification or something

And it's still not even at it's correct modeling. Fwiw the current Oswald Efficiency change gave it 0.12 more OE, and to get it to the proper technically known performance capabilities, per it's own flight manuals, it should get another 0.14 OE.
its not really that simple, since all we know about oswald efficiency is the coefficient, we don't actually know what formula they use to calculate it. Basically, the oswald efficiency coefficient may not be correct, but gaijin uses it to make other aspects of the plane correct. So they might increase it if the plane bleeds to much speed, even if the OE coefficient isn't itself correct.

Fun fact Gaijin have no charts on the engine performance or the turn curves for this airframe. They have buffed based on what they think...The hypocrisy. It's turn rate and energy retention is way too high right now
cuz flying high = being shot by an ARH missile people don't know that being patient and doing a 3-9 with chaffing does save lives. or they just do not care about it and all they want is to get into combat asap, kill 1 dude and start another match. also, they believe that antipode is a cheatcode. it's always nice to see guys rat maxxing even when they are clearly aware that an ARH missile is going at them dead front from 45 degrees above not giving a single fk about that antipode thingy.
It is still much worse and still loses evety dogfight. They also ruined R-73 so it spins like a fucking carousel. It already was simp for flares in previous update very much like 27ET, but rn it is broken while 9M ignores flares from side aspect with its super low FOV. Total brick at low speeds but lol this airframe must be very fucking stable and provide much more lift but this is russian bias. The plane definitely became better, but the situation did not change at all. From complete gargabe to garbage. A good pilot makes any garbage work of course, but you dont have to be one in gripen or f-15e.
dude the r-73 hasnt been touched at all. The su-27 does not lose every dogfight, it beats the f-15c and probably the f-16c. It's not garbage, its much better now. The 9M ignores flares because it has suspension irccm, meaning it turns its seeker off and tracks off of inertial guidance when it sees a flare. The r-73 is a very good missile. It's always spun out occasionally at low speeds. It's still a thrust vectoring missile with very good irccm, just don't fire it at very long ranges.
@@nymeric5833 in ARB 27 doesn't beat most planes in 1 circle at least. i heard it became vastly better in full controls so SB meets Flankocalypse now probably

The SU-33 is at 13.0 with HMD, 8x of the best SARH, 2x of the best long range IR missiles, and 4x of the best IR missiles. It can fight F-4 Phantoms.

Flight model buff is great but it still has a long way to go to be anuwhere close to what it should be, even more so for the MiG-29

Yes there was a slight change to how the IOG guides after notching. Basically you need to move more out of the missiles way after nitching

R27 uses the planes radar to guide itself while the aim120 uses its own. The radar on planes ist much more powerful and harder to notch.

people don't know that being patient and doing a 3-9 with chaffing does save lives. or they just do not care about it and all they want is to get into combat asap, kill 1 dude and start another match. also, they believe that antipode is a cheatcode. it's always nice to see guys rat maxxing even when they are clearly aware that an ARH missile is going at them dead front from 45 degrees above not giving a single fk about that antipode thingy.

It is still much worse and still loses evety dogfight. They also ruined R-73 so it spins like a fucking carousel. It already was simp for flares in previous update very much like 27ET, but rn it is broken while 9M ignores flares from side aspect with its super low FOV. Total brick at low speeds but lol this airframe must be very fucking stable and provide much more lift but this is russian bias. The plane definitely became better, but the situation did not change at all. From complete gargabe to garbage. A good pilot makes any garbage work of course, but you dont have to be one in gripen or f-15e.
dude the r-73 hasnt been touched at all. The su-27 does not lose every dogfight, it beats the f-15c and probably the f-16c. It's not garbage, its much better now. The 9M ignores flares because it has suspension irccm, meaning it turns its seeker off and tracks off of inertial guidance when it sees a flare. The r-73 is a very good missile. It's always spun out occasionally at low speeds. It's still a thrust vectoring missile with very good irccm, just don't fire it at very long ranges.
@@nymeric5833 in ARB 27 doesn't beat most planes in 1 circle at least. i heard it became vastly better in full controls so SB meets Flankocalypse now probably
