- The final day of the 2023 Tennessee Bass Nation Kayak Championship on Guntersville Lake. I started off the day in 10th place and had a plan and a lure that I thought might just work really well...and it sure did.

My oh my, another 90 incher day !! All the catches were super, lots of hook ups, but the lead in footage and music had me HEE HAWING !! I bout fell outa my chair !! That was brilliant ! End of the day, you gotta be feeling pretty good about the tourny. Seventh place out of ninety entries...... what a blessing ! Rest up, then get back out there and get us old guys some more footage ! Thank you for taking us along, really appreciate the adventure. Add a trailer hook, if the rules allow it, reduces quick release. If I were younger, I would get a kayak, to get into the places the bass boat won't fit. Thanks again!

I respectfully must disagree on that. When that accident happened, I thought for a little bit, that John was either going to be badly injured...or worse! I respect people's opinions, but this new footage is, at least to me, nightmarish!
I prefer the old entrance video. At least, John doesn't come close to being injured...or worse!

You remind me of the only time I fished on Guntersville with my cousins (they live in Albertville). We weren't so lucky, so my cousins decided to waterski with their friends). I had recently come home from the Navy and Vietnam. Congratulations for fishing so well.

Caught my biggest for the year at a lake I have never been to it was a fat little smallmouth 10 inches, working my way back to getting out more, next year I will be out in the kayak. Watching your videos of creek and tournaments keep me pushing forward to get back out.

Love your videos!!! You fished in my stomping ground. I grew up about 2 miles down the road from that red bridge. My kids and I have caught thousands of crappie on that creek. I live on the mountain now about 2 miles from the cabin you were staying in.
