- For the 3rd year in a row, I was able to qualify to fish the Tennessee Bass Nation Kayak Championship. This year, September 2023 it was on Guntersville Lake, mostly located in North Alabama.
I had hopes of catching big bass on topwater and frogs but found them on a spinnerbait, and they were hungry.

Great Day in your morning !! Such nice bass, good quality. Two gotcha (got me) moments.... when you are trying to reposition your camera and we couldn't see, but heard a sickening, scary outburst. So glad you already had the photo ! Also, when that bass hit the spinnerbait right at the boat. So cool ! Day 1 in the books. Prayers for day 2 ! Always be careful. Pap Blevins
Yeah! He caught a great picture of that Ol' Bass-JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME!!! Another 1-2 seconds, and it would've been too late to register that Bass for his total!
I noticed you could use a Rod Holder on the left rear track facing forward to hold it before you lose a combo when weighing a fish

That place has many creeks & they're huge, so much grass this time of year, you picked the best place to fish because there's so much water its hard to know where they are at a lot of dead water, I've been told that the spinnerbait is something that fish hasn't seen in a long time, so glad you figured out a pattern with it, the main bass fish is a LM, a few spots & hardly any SM, glad in the top 10 on day one! 14:19
Great video as always buddy. I'm glad to see you got on some really good fish on Lake Guntersville. I've always heard how good it was and I only live a couple of hours from there. I just haven't ever fished there though. I'm looking forward to seeing day 2.👊👍

Keep chucking and winding...don't forget to stop and let that spinnerbait drop before ya get that close to the kayak. They may not chase it that far tomorrow. Maybe even try a Colorado or similar blade.Good luck and thanks for sharing. Have a Blessed Day!!!

Most definitely! It would definitely provide for more support, without the risk of the setup possibly collapsing. Imagine going down an Interstate Highway, and suddenly having that particular style of setup suddenly collapsing on the Highway. That could cause a major accident, and then, guess whose pocket that comes out of, as it relates to Insurance Claims, and maybe even Civil , and Criminal, charges for neglect? The Laws concerning such things, can be very harsh.
So, yeah...I definitely agree with what you're saying here.

Just bought a plusinno fishing net for the kayak, folds up nice , floats I think its great for mainly bass fishing. You land alot of fish without one but i was nervous for you on a couple

What I personally wish that would be developed, and allowed, is a much more stable fish-measuring device, that would allow for a secured base, and that would allow for a gentle kind of a way, to gently hold the fish that are being measured, in place. The Bass that are being caught are able, at least at this point, to suddenly thrash around, while being measured, and able to jump back into the water, without the fishermen being able to secure a proper measurement. That's something I've thought about, for a long time.

Coming from Florida through Georgia to spend a few days in pigeon forge any creeks or rivers you can recommend for a chance at whitebass or stripers

I'm local to the middle TN area and I've been following for a few years now. I love fishing but in all honesty I'm not good at it whatsoever. I have plenty of tackle and a couple decent rods. I'd love the chance to chat if you could spare some time. Love the content.

you should do a lures company in addition to merch - you will do better being independent than being sponsored just like starting up your own merch company is a solid decision - add some extras to every order like creek fishing tips etc #upsells #hellgrammites #crawfish #molds try some snake lures and then make your own - they work - try some big glide baits in the deeper water but overall stick to the pattern that is working - you should get in top10 with any luck - think about fish painter for these big impoundments to find bait and suspended fish
you know what i am trying to pursue just that, i usually do things slow but i hope to get there
@@CreekFishingAdventures you may as well step up cause you don't have much to lose and more to gain - add some special ingredients to your lure formula like some salt and ground up hellgrammites and fish oil - make the formula non toxic and biodegradeable - you have to do some due diligence but you can make a better mousetrap no doubt and be socially responsible - donate 10% of profits to a diversified group of charities like the local united way or whatever - should work out good for you - going slow is fine - do some giveaways on prototypes and build a list - the list is key #11 herbs and spices
