It's difficult to compare the foursome MT with the six of more PM Singers or foursome, but multi-track recorders, Singers Unlimited. MT can sound a bit 'thin' at times as a result. 'To You' on their 'Vocalese' CD recognises this by getting The Four Freshman to augment them.
This version of 'To You' is a wonderful arrangement and the part between 3:09 and 3:14 a revelation, with 3:15 to 3:29 hardly less so!

Dont get me wrong I love Manhattan Transfer
but there are 2 vocal groups that are even better
Phil Mattesons PM Singers
And Singers Unlimited
MT has coverd songs by both groups
