Same thing in southern Idaho. Here it's people from Utah, California, and everywhere else. Rents are going through the roof and old houses on numbered streets that are 120 years old are selling for 400K or more. My house has gone up 2 1/2 times in value which as a retired person does me no good, it just raised my taxes, insurance, and costs to maintain my home. Older People aren't liquidating their properties here only ones with old homes that need bought and flipped.
I’m selling a home in Kootenai County. It’s not a rental property and I’m not getting a divorce lol. Just trying to downsize property and get closer to our kids school so they can walk to school. Wish us luck 🍀
I think a good topic for you to discuss is those of us looking to build. With the market slowing and many new builds sitting longer and longer, are builders looking for custom-build customers and are they willing to reduce costs/price or upgrades in order to stay viable? Thank you.
You are right...time for an updated video on "To Build or not to Build." Readers Digest version...Still more expensive and challenging to do custom. Builders have never had a harder time finding skilled laborers they can count on and good land to build on is harder to find than most understand. Thanks for the suggestion.
Nice post Kory, I was wondering if you where OK because it's been awhile since your last post. My wife and I are putting our house up for sale the end of March..weather permitting in northern Ca. We are still looking to buy south of where you are at and prices are still coming down. We are praying that the market does not crash before we sell, with all of the events happening around the world we could see big changes. Thanks for the update Kory, nice to have a man with his finger on the pulse of the real estate market. Chris
Thanks Chris. September/October were a busy months for us and the RUclips page took a back seat during that time. Blessings on your sale this spring and may the market work to your advantage. Thanks for watching! -Kory
We came up 3yrs ago and were able to flip (2) in town. We took literally D properties and turned them into B+ and feel lucky to have done well and yep we are happily back in SoCal near family/Beach and better flip opportunities for us. Thank you Idaho it was great but we won’t be coming back 👍🏼
Appreciate the "inside views" you are sharing! Very interesting!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Great insight...thank you!
Wow, Kory! This is great! Love the market detail - a deep dive into who is selling, who is buying and why. Thank you so much!
Thanks Brother!

Yup, that's me (55+); last kid graduates in 2025 and then we're headed there. Don't worry, I'm escaping NY, not bringing it with me 🙂
Thanks for following!
Sounds familiar 🤔
Right!? Prayers for your better half my Brother!
Thank you sir 🙏

Why not come back? Too cold? Or more market driven?
