Italy has one of the best healthcare systems in the world. The fact that their people are some of the longest living in the world seems to show it works.
2 hart attics on the job by 62. last one I'm driving on 287 I pull over to a state trooper in the center median holding my chest asking him were nearest hospital is. He says hop in and rushed me to closeted hospital I pass out on the way, he saves my life and locks up the van in the center of 287 and brings the keys to the hospital. Much respect for our troopers!
Now I take care of my health over getting the job done!

Bloodwork tells all. I’m 56 and do it faithfully every year since I was a kid. Do it Mike….prevention to potential issues is key.

You will be surprised how your blood pressure will drop just by losing 10 pounds. I lost 90 pounds but my blood pressure went back to normal when I lost my first 10 pounds. Just walking your dogs in the morning probably kept it lower. It is great you gave Daniel that bonus, it show you care about his leadership while you were gone.

Good luck on your cardiologist, I’m 54, 8 years ago I had my usual once a year physical, bloodwork which was all good, ekg, good, bam heart attack, blood clot got me in the widow maker. All of my arteries were very clear. Either a piece of plaque broke off or a surgery I had the prior month caused it, I used to smoke about 7 years prior to that, listen to your body, good luck, keep us posted

them heat exchangers rot, needs maint and trap cleaned and primed. I like them when they run proper. inducer and negative pressure valve can be a pain on neglected units. they got the whole unit swap... I got the hex swap which felt like a whole unit when I was finished lol

I was in an Ikea everything was fine until we got into the warehouse section. Something hit me and I couldn't breathe. I started sweating and it wasn't good. I really thought there was a possibility I was going to die. We drove to a Walgreens and my better half wrote me an Rx on the spot for an inhaler. The pharmacist was great as he handed it to me before we paid. Moral of the story always have your spouse who happens to be an MD with you. :) Never did figure out what it was but something in that warehouse got to me.

Because I’m in middle of my prime years and b/c didn’t listen and take care of the body; I know regret it and one of worst things is, have the bones of an 85 yr old, OUCH! Along w/ my body not being 20 anymore even though mind feels like should be around 25-30 on good days, and bad days….feel like I’m dragging and when the young’ns complain….start to complain, things go flying (joking, or am I 😏) 😆

Quit all carbs and eat only meat. That will solve any blood pressure issue 💯 It takes awhile to adjust but it's worth it.
Listen to what your doctor says.
I never got any type of check up and ended stroking out in 09.
Watch your blood pressure and the easiest way to lower it is to lose weight.

Well that a different path.. been on 2 BP meds for years an blood thinners coz?? Everyone tells us to slow down… my reply to my heart doc?? Doc I will have an eternity to rest when I’m 6 feet under pushing daisies right now I’m on top of the ground and I got work to do in places to go an thank them for their concern but also informed them the man up above controls when I go …. VA doctors are not used to a patient giving them orders. They are used to their orders being obeyed 😂😂 who cares if when they were in the service they were generals!!! 😜 but BP is a sneaky rascal. It sneaks up on you before you realize it but I’m glad that you’re taking care of matters not to sound all Gushi. But is a lot of us that would highly miss you!!❤

every other civilised country on earth apart from the usa has socialised healthcare. as you found out, that doesn't mean private heathcare is banned or forbidden. it means you have a choice. go get your free healthcare or go get your private healthcare, or go for a mix of the two. i opt for private medical insurance where i am for a comically small amount of money each month.
I got admit, I was very impressed by the healthcare system private that is in Italy very very impressed. Too bad we don’t have anything like that in the US yet people go to hospitals that have no insurance and then they got bombarded with high bills and give them credit problems, and blah blah blah.

Mike you can probably drop 10 pounds fast by giving up beer or try low cal beer . I was a Coke Cola drinker. Always had one in the morning and one in the evening which was my caffeine fix since I don't drink coffee and it was hard to give up but I did lose weight faster.
