There was a maybe month or two month long stint of pele and set bing played in mid a bunch this year. That’s when Dardez started picking this as a counter matchup. It was really cool to see them pick something at worlds that they had used successfully earlier in the year to counter the meta. Only this time it was to counter a comfort pick on a specific player.
I don't know if you would ever show a loss, but what about genetics's ymir game just to see what was going on from his pov, where it went all wrong. It could end up being very boring so idk about viewer retention, but it could also end up being more insightful than seeing it from pele's pov just holding the W key.
Seeing this from Dardez's POV is wild. Nika's last play was why people wanted him to get MVP, props to Dardez he 100% deserved it but the flashy plays from Nika were crazy
As an unapologetic dardez lover, I am so glad he got to pull out a "weird" pick like this on the worlds stage and pull it off, because it's been such a big part of why I'm a dardez fan. I know you have literally just done a dardez POV demo review, but I'd really like to see one of his Merlin games (honestly you could probably demo review any dardez game he really earned his MVP award). Also Paul I didn't say this in the hayvering I think but get well soon.
I feel like a big reason ferrymen lost this game was Cyclone trying to surprise the dragons with the bumba's spear dps on fire at 25:50 but wasnt on the same page with the rest of the team. Baskin goes to zone despite being a ton of their objective dps with her passive and aura and animosity autos while paul and cyclone full commit to fire. They probably had the dps to just burn it before the dragons could get close if they all committed with aror or even cyno zoning, but they never have the dps to commit to a full burn without ama. It looks like baskin was playing like the pull was a bait while paul and cyclone played like it was a burn and they get destroyed for it
Just like the last fg fight, I feel like Dardez's performance was partly the setup for Nika to pop off, 2 insane players on their own that have sticked together through the years and the heartbreaks, which made them acquire the trust they had in each other and damn bien joué Bastien, Im sad for Vote but hey, Coast was what they needed
Would personally like to make a video myself about what i'd like to see from smite 2 spectator wise, i've also always wanted to do like a tutorial for smite but i suppose its a bit late now nicer relaxed video Paul hope you're recovering well Dardez is deffo one of the mid laners I look up to as a mid player honestly what a good game to watch and the erlang pick was most definitely a counter pick nobody really thought of esp with this draft and what they were against it worked so well
As someone in the audience I would have understood Nika getting MVP, but I definitely felt like Dardez was the real star. You could make a reasonable case for any of them (in a vacuum) but dardez played to another level this time
Dardez had practically no power and no prots with that build, and yet looked invincible every fight and pumped out damage that game, the Dragons cooked to say the least.
Good video Pol. When the games are going, are you and the boys on the desk still sitti g there and chatting with each other watching the games or do you all have stuff to do?
Sometimes we sat together and chatted, but mostly people had to use the time to get food, go to the bathroom and then watch the game - we mostly caught back up in the break between the game ending and the desk going back live to figure out our key talking points
Nika won lane hard against 2 of the best solo laners in the world which is why people wanted him to get mvp they forget that dardez basically solo won them the quarter finals while still having flashy plays in the rest of the tournament which is why he won mvp. Complete side note I know it’s late and close to season 11 launch but if you are still up for recording I would like to see Pbms ganesha in game 3 of the semis
Anyone else noticed that when they announced it on stage, Nika thought the MVP award was his? He seemed surprised it wasn' t him. But to be fair, I was also surprised it wasn't him. Made me laugh, seemed so awkward on stage.
In Nikas defense he had the crowd chanting Nika for 5 games in a row (8 if you included the previous set). I thought they were gonna give it to Nika because of the crowd, even though I thought dardez absolutely was the MVP.
He stood in front of his team, next to Kelly. I wondered if maybe Kelly was having a chat with Nika and it made him feel she's pulling him out for the upcoming announcement?
This damage to tankiness ratio on Erlang should be illegal, especially when hes healing entire health bars of health each fight and having that much M/S like HOW
I think people who claim Nika should've been the MVP over Dardez is similar thing to last year's claims that Jarcorr/Twig/Variety should've got it over Genetics. Just people wanting their favourite player to get it.

They’re all losses for someone
@@Iog0ut Yeah but I meant showing us from the pov of the loser.

That last fg fight where dardez takes fg then double taunts them into a Bellona ult was so crazy to watch
Sounding much better today hayzer. Great game to review 👍
I also want to let people know I called this pick on draft
I would also love to see Lasbra’s game 5 Pele that was an amazing game
That one play against Baskin made this video all worth it. Great video!
The turnaround gives me chills 🥶
Can’t wait for your next Trivia update, cheers Paul!

SICK demo review

Was in the shower earlier thinking about how you were defo gonna do a Dardez remand pov review - I feel like I made this happen
I did this review thinking about you going in the shower
😂😂 I meant Erlang not remand btw

That freya build was something...
Mike went insane that last fight making space for coast and keeping dardez alive sheesh // edit: 2nd to last fight sorry lol
Dardez is meerkat confirmed
Do the game where Lasbra Had 3 k damage I'm extremely curious what he did that whole game.
Could we get a Nika vod review so we can see those totem battles?

I was hoping there’d be a vid on this game!
What the horse doing? 25:50
lmao I did not notice that at all, good spot

*OUI* 🐸
Would love to watch ZAPMAN’s danza games
Now that spl is over you should record a Joi for content

Charon is viable?
Didn’t Dardez have a Tiamat game with like 45k damage.
*AGGRESSIVELY MARSEILLAISES *
If it wasnt dardez getting mvp (for whatever reason) 100000% it would be nika. Easily second best performance in the tourney after dardez

I really hope they make smite 2 spectator somehow even worse just to fuck with him
😭
What was his ability leveling order?
3 - 1 - 4 - 2
I wish I was pro because then I could show off how broken green acorn Rat adc is
