The Master, Multiplied, from Dr. Who is an amazing card for this deck. He's an outlaw, and he has myriad. His tokens DO NOT get exiled at the end because of his second ability, so it just gets exponentially bigger. If you encore him, you immediately create 9 tokens in a table with 4 players.
The problem is how much money and changes you need to put in this deck. Plus Legends like Laughing Jasper Flint are wayyy better as an outlaw Commander since it incentives you to assemble a big board of outlaws for value.
The biggest problem with this deck is that you have to swap out 20+ cards to make it work well. Vihaan is arguably the stronger commander, but he needs major upgrades to make a strong deck. Definitely doable, but you're almost better off buying singles instead of this precon.
@KeeganMcKinney I'm going with one sided board wipes, effects like Galadriel's Dismissal and Teferi's Protection. The Treasures makes Ruinous Ultimatum's mana cost far less of an issue.
Marionette Master is perfect for this deck as well. Building up 5 tokens, sac'ing 3 for Olivia's ability and sac'ing two more treasures. That's an immediate 20 damage to anyone with her ability. Charge up 10 for 40, or just have Revel in Riches where you just win the game with 10 treasures.
This is the one I've been waiting for! Again, love that you all found the potential of the deck, and celebrated it. I was pretty discouraged by other content creators just bashing this deck, because I loved the commander so much. Bought it during pre-release anyway! I took my upgrades more in the "treasure payoff" direction, but these are also great ideas! 🙌
A card that I think is tailor made for this deck that nobody really talks about is Baeolth Barrityl Entertainer. Pump him up a couple times with Olivia or other means, all the creatures below his power your opponents control is goaded, if any of them die, you make treasures, leaves them open.....it's feels sooooo busted. Hopefully find out for myself when I get my upgrades.
I'd like to point out that while Dockside is not a budget card, it *is* a pirate and on theme for this deck. (You were gonna put it in there anyway.) Would also like to point out that Black Market Connections allows you to "Hire Mercs" and they *do* count as outlaws. (Also not budget though.)
@@UnreasonableOpinionsfr. Kinda sad they didn’t put it in this precon. But Wotc aint scared of reprinting bangers in precons so idk why they didnt do it again
If you have a little money, All Will Be One is downright nasty. It turns popping Olivia's ability into a fistful of Shocks, ideal for clearing out blocking creatures to ensure you hit all three opponents and get to fire off Olivia again next turn.
Skeleton crew bounces off your graveyard recursion pretty well, and if youre running a few more token generators than youd like, you can turn them into treasures with ruthless knave. Pitiless plunderer is also good ofc
First time watching your videos. Great one as I recently got Olivia as my first commander. Hoping to put the new astarions cards in it :) But yeah as I was watching I got disturbed but the fact that the guy on the right kinda looks like Grant Imahara :s
I plan on putting Smothering Tithes and Revrl In Rixhes in my drck. Then use bouty board on my own creatures. If opponents attack, I blick, my creatures die, they all draw cards and either pay per draw ir give me a ton if treasures and the victory.
Marut would be kinda cool in Vihaan deck . 8 mana construct that returns treasure you use to spend on him if you have a token doubler you can crack 8 treasures cast Marut and then gain 16.shame he isn't an outlaw construct :P
i think prosper tome bound would be a good inclusion since it is a warlock that has deathtouch and gives card advantage and treasures. I also know its 15 bucks
There is a 5cmc red enchantment that gives double strike to attacking creatures which means 6 treasures per turn if 3 outlaws connect. It also makes any deathtouchers significantly deadlier.
Can anyone explain to me why they added ogre slumlord to the deck? I’m not sure what it adds and I kinda want to cut it but I don’t know if that is a good idea.
I have a question for you guys that I'm super curious as to your answer. Do you build a deck differently if you know your going to be playing more than 3 opponents? My play group is five players so I am always trying to figure out if I have enough interaction ect to deal with 4 opponents not 3.
No because your not making another treasure with xorn, your just making an additional one on top of the one that's already being made, so you will have 2 treasures, 2 clues, and 2 food tokens as opposed to 1. The extra doesn't stack with manufactor.
I am brand new to magic, but I’m into Baldur’s Gate 3 and I feel like Astarion The Decadent might be a good choice in this deck with the amount of damage and lifelink this deck can generate… Can someone tell me if I’m delusional?
Would Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher be good for this, as "Whenever a player sacrifices a permanent, put a +1/+1 counter on Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher and you gain 1 life." but also has graveyard retrival where "Whenever Carmen attacks, return up to one target permanent card with mana value less than or equal to Carmen's power from your graveyard to the battlefield."
I mean....it's not a bad include if you have nothing else, she is an evasive body that can get damage off, but unless you have other ways of turning her into an outlaw, there are much better options out there.
Its just my opinion but I do not agree with three of the cards to cut, I mean if I am making all the treasure tokens in the world with the cards added then why are we worrying about the mana cost of Tenured Inkcaster. You know what I am saying?
@@hhinder5121 no it's Italian made westerns with American actors. It's own genre , I suggest the man with no name classic ronin story converted to a western format.

Well for one thing…. The Wild West no longer exists… second thing. Country people and people in the south don’t actually talk like that…. Number 3 calm the fuck down lmao country accent isn’t based on a race or group lmao

I haven't realized that! I have that card sitting around, I'll definitely add that in Olivia now, thanks for the idea :D
This deck is way stronger potentially than a lot of people give it credit for.
I agree; you primarily just need to add more Outlaw synergy and increase the number of boardwipes.
The problem is how much money and changes you need to put in this deck. Plus Legends like Laughing Jasper Flint are wayyy better as an outlaw Commander since it incentives you to assemble a big board of outlaws for value.

The key word there is “potentially”. Everyone is talking about the base level of the precon being underwhelming
Nice upgrades ! Would really love to see an Extra Turns-esque episodes where you guys and gals duke it out with all 4 of the upgraded precons.
As a person who is super into westerns. I’ve never been more excited for a set. Yeee (and I can not stress this enough) Haw

Holy shit that card is wack in general haha

At least BMC was in the last Pirate precon, as is a fistful of good material for this deck since pirates are outlaws.

Back in town has won me the 2 matches I've played with this deck - Loved it!
Swashbuckler extraordinaire looked really good for this deck!
Adding the white enchantment that gives creature myriad sounds really strong
I am definitely getting this Pre-Con deck and have been looking forward to it ever since it debuted.
I bought it and upgraded it (not like in this video tho), and it's a whole lot of fun!
I knew Kellog had to be in there somewhere. Great choice!
This deck should have been where the dockside reprint should have been
This deck is literally a perfect home for it
Yes and it would be a 90$ deck
super glad it did not get a reprint
this card makes matches so boring

I enjoy this deck! I love the western theme of this set as well!
Tenured incaster helps you get damage through in the late game when boards are clogged, hit each opponent, very helpful.
My favorite Pre Con was the Desert one because i absolutely love Hazezon as a commander.
Gotta love the single-camera shot in the Duer jeans commercial
This deck with just get better overtime anytime a new outlaw card comes out
Been excited to see what Jimmy did to the deck

Yesss the one I've been waiting for
I must utilize this platform to complain that Magda Brazen OUTLAW isn't an OUTLAW... and neither is Magda, the Hoardmaster.
Or Jolene the god-damned plunder queen
Mari, The Killing Quill plays superb with Aveline, giving other assasins deathtouch. Honestly, she probably fits in every single Assasins Creed deck.
When your boss practices their stand up on a captive audience
Leaning into counters a bit how about Tenured Inkcaster. Nice drain effect, gives a counter and is a warlock (outlaw).
This the one I have been waiting for
Mari the Killing Quill came out in Streets of New Capenna; Jimmy, not Strixhaven
I plan on putting Smothering Tithes and Revrl In Rixhes in my drck. Then use bouty board on my own creatures. If opponents attack, I blick, my creatures die, they all draw cards and either pay per draw ir give me a ton if treasures and the victory.
Not putting laughing jasper in this deck should be a crime
grim hireling has like tripled in price due to this and Grand Larceny lol
I was considering adding Hit the mother lode. It seems like it vibes well with the treasure token ability of the commander. Although it is costly.
Commenting for Gary!
WotC, we need lore for Gary!
Damn never heard of Headliner Scarlet but it’s going in my new Calamity deck 😮
Marut would be kinda cool in Vihaan deck . 8 mana construct that returns treasure you use to spend on him if you have a token doubler you can crack 8 treasures cast Marut and then gain 16.shame he isn't an outlaw construct :P

I need a Gray Merchant reprint with Gary who ate the eye ball.
I was very surprised you guys didn't cut orge slumlord. As he doesn't really help this deck take off in any way
There is a 5cmc red enchantment that gives double strike to attacking creatures which means 6 treasures per turn if 3 outlaws connect. It also makes any deathtouchers significantly deadlier.
The DU/ER ad was a cool way to utilize the new mansion
Just rewatched john dies at the end for the first time in ages. Was that really jimmy in that movie or am i crazy
I’m surprised, not a single upgrade was Smothering tithe in a treasure token deck that has white in it…
Any opinions on Port Razer as an option? I feel like additional combat phases is helpful, and as an outlaw he activates Olivias ability.
Can anyone explain to me why they added ogre slumlord to the deck? I’m not sure what it adds and I kinda want to cut it but I don’t know if that is a good idea.
I'm assuming this was made before the cards in the core set were revealed, because not including laughing jasper flint or vial smasher is a sin
Ice cream flavors😂😂
I played this deck straight from the box last night, it was painful, not entirely sure what it's trying to do
I'm happy to see Jimmy/Josh come back to do a pre-con upgrade
Imagine they reprinted dockside extortionist, outlaw that makes treasurea

I have an odd question if you have xorn and academy manufacturer out is that an infinite combo once you make a treasure?
No because your not making another treasure with xorn, your just making an additional one on top of the one that's already being made, so you will have 2 treasures, 2 clues, and 2 food tokens as opposed to 1. The extra doesn't stack with manufactor.

she's not an outlaw and considering there's graveyard retrieval from other outlaws I'd skip her
I mean....it's not a bad include if you have nothing else, she is an evasive body that can get damage off, but unless you have other ways of turning her into an outlaw, there are much better options out there.
