- UPDATE: I am aware that the price of Grim Hireling is no longer correct in the build. It was at the time that the build was being made but apparently it has nearly doubled in the past few days between me testing, recording, and editing. Sorry for any confusion this may cause but by the time I realized this (when I was already working on the upcoming Felix Five-Boots build) it was already too late to change.

Hey folks! Submitted for your approval, we have the 4th and final precon upgrade guide for Outlaws of Thunder Junction - this time covering the Most Wanted precon and its face commander - the slumming criminal mastermind, Olivia, Opulent Outlaw.
In this upgrade, we'll primarily be focused in refining what the core build already brings to the table - namely Outlaws that can reliably get in for damage to proc Oliva's treasure token creation, as well as ways to make more treasures and get more value from said treasures to get the maximum usage out of them. So we'll be adding in a fresh wave of hard to block Outlaws, Outlaws with treasure generation effects of their own, and that empower their fellow Outlaws to empower that side of the gameplan, alongside non-Outlaw sources of treasure generation and treasure payoffs to ensure further enhance our the treasure oriented side of our game plan with faster production and more utility. And then, once we've used our remaining budget to overhaul out removal and boardwipes to include the best entrants Mardu has to offer to pick apart our opponents boards, we'll be left with Gang of fearsome Outlaws that Olivia can lead into Thunder Junction and take it for all its got.

Yeah, Grim Hireling really jumped up in price. Not terribly surprising since it was (mostly) creeping up since the MKM reveals. Still an excellent card for Olivia, regardless if she is probably one of the reasons Hireling doubled in price in a short span 😅 Great tech either way!
Glad you enjoyed it! Honestly, even with how good this card is in this deck, I was not expecting the price to skyrocket the way it did.... Maybe it did because is really good on the new Gonti and Felix Five-Boots too and there simply wasn't enough supply? Or maybe a buyout because of the demand? Either way, I would at this point advise waiting for a reprint rather than dropping $20 on a single.

It looks like Obeka is a shoe in for the top spot at this point, so unless we get a huge upset in the next few days, we should see that build coming soon!
Then regarding my favorite commander of this year, if I had to choose - I would say it would be Mr. House, President and CEO. I'm a fan of the Fallout Series and Mr. House's depiction in MTG is both solid from a gameplay perspective, brings back die rolling in a big way, and remains true to the lore on the tabletop. But we still have Modern Horizons 3 on the Horizon (no pun intended), so we'll just have to see if there is an even spicier commander inbound.
Fun tech, I upgraded this a little before seeing this, but Grim Hireling + Aggr Assault with Olivia out is a combo if you can get in for damage. Love the video, made mostly the same upgrades you did so might just alter it based on your ideas. Thanks as always!
Glad you enjoyed it and I agree - between the two of them we can generate infinite combat phases so long as we can reliably get in for damage on every opponent, so it may worth considering since Aggravated Assault is now around $5 after the most recent reprints (though Grim Hireling has skyrocketed to about $20, so maybe it would be better to hold off until it gets reprinted....).
Why not include Mayhem Devil? It seems like a good fit on this deck. Sack a treasure and ping anything for 1.

What about adding in bonehoard dracusar and ancient copper dragon? I know ancient copper is about 60 bucks and i have bonehaord dracusaur sitting in my bulk atm
Every time I see these upgrade videos, I keep seeing people suggesting to remove the politics cards. Isn't that the charm of commander? To do political plays, do card interactions that involve everyone, etc?
I see your point and have been frequently accused by my editor that I don't like fun because I remove more politically oriented cards from decks. That said, in my opinion, any card can be a political card depending on what deals you can make at the table making cards that are naturally political unnecessary and often unreliable if we need them to work a certain way in order for them be to effective for us.
Now, if you want to go all in a politics then by all means run these cards, but I am of the mindset that we're either all in on political cards or not at all.
Hope that explains my reasoning.
Not that this is a bad deck or upgrade option far from it it's actually really good but unfortunately this is just too expensive for me and I already have an Edgar Markov Mardu vampire tribal deck that I'm already happy with. Just so we're clear I'm not bad mouthing your deck idea I'm just too poor to afford it and and that is befitting as treasure as a rule usually got the finder a lot of money and I guess WOTC made no exception to that rule and outlaws shaking down their victims and taking almost if not all of the money they got can also tie into why this deck and just about any build involving it can be ridiculously expensive LOL but as I said good job
I was fine with keeping it as tribal, but hearing you say "tribe member" changed my mind.
Okay that's fair..... I never really thought about it (seeing as I always referred to decks focused around creature types as "tribal" and it's individual creature entrant as "tribe members") but I can see how that term has some connotations that some may find offensive....
