      You cannot use whichever you like - character trait, rich/poor, religion (and i though job) have a specific verb. This is actually what I wanted to learn, as I have forgotten. So yes, you hit the nail on the head, this video is a half baked.

    Hi! I just wanna ask you one question. I have seen few videos from you on AIB channel. So on which channel is it better to start learning spanish from you? I am asking because i want to know if there is everything that you teached on AIB channel. :)

    • @TheLanguageTutor
      @TheLanguageTutor  3 года назад

      I would recommend starting here. The lessons on AIB were originally created for TV. The Language Tutor was designed specifically for RUclips learners like yourself.

    Cómo puedo usar el verbo hacer en esta frace:
    I became fat
    For example
    Y gracias de nuevo

    • @Leonardo-1
      @Leonardo-1 3 года назад +2

      Eman!
      You can't use the verb ' hacer' with that sentence.
      I think a better verb would be 'poner' ( to put on)
      Me puse gorda.
      Me puse gordo.

    • @kenschroeppel3128

      Agreed. I think the second and third ones should have been presented as hacerse and ponerse.

      I explained earlier in the video that reflexive becomes part of the sentence when it implies one is doing something to oneself.

    Why not "Me puse" triste?

    • @kenschroeppel3128
      @kenschroeppel3128 3 года назад

      Agreed. Saying "me puso triste" as in the video is treating this similar to a "verb like gustar" with a translation of "it puts me sad" but as a reflexive verb, it would be "me puse triste" with a translation of "I put myself sad" which is closer to what we mean by "became."

    in spanish, the single "R" when is not at the beginning of a word sounds like the American "T" in the word "City".. It shouldnt vibrate. Volver, Ingeniero, Convirtieron, these "Rs" sound like that "t" in american accent City. If the single R is at the begining of the word (like Rosa, Rojo, Romper) it sounds like the double r (rr) in carro, carrete, parrilla, burro..
