      The reason apparently was because he never really did off seasons. He’d simply “grow into the show” a couple months out of the year. That means no crazy gh cycles for years on end

    • @akay5036
      @akay5036 7 лет назад +1

      I hate to say it but he should train like Phil with lighter weights, 15-20 reps. 405 lb incline bench is just stupid at his age. Stick to hammer strength.From watching his videos Phil would only do 225 lb squats and typically only messes with the Smith machine if he goes heavier. Stays above parallel to target the quads. Doesn't train hardcore like Ronnie or Kevin but it works and prevents him from getting injured. I would never train like that, but if I was a bodybuilder with low bodyfat..it's the only way to go. Look at Dorian, Ronnie, etc. Trained hardcore, got hurt. Look at Dexter, Phil, Wheeler, train smart, no major setbacks.

    • @G_L_S
      @G_L_S 7 лет назад

      +A Kay in that case maybe lift like Kai green since he shits on Phil. Give Kevin another year and he will be freaky looking. He did this in 8 months , nobody could ever build that much muscle in that amount of time

      @akay5036 7 лет назад

      What for ??? He's 52 and proven he could place on stage .. thats enough. Competing again next year to place roughly the same ?? Because his physique (LEGS) wont allow him *ever* to place in top 3 let alone top 5 .. So why putting his body trough torture of training when you know his future is doomed already .. Doesn't make any sens ..

    • @Nizzon.
      @Nizzon. 7 лет назад

      For himself! Kevin doesnt need to prove anything to nobody. If you have been listening to the interviews its obvious Kevin is doing this for himself too and not only for the fans, he has said many times that he has missed the BB-life. And if you saw his recent videos about the knee problems that kept him from training legs 100% you should not conclude that his legs was lacking because of age.
      If Kevin feels good stepping up on that stage then he should do it.

    • @topfitnessssss
      @topfitnessssss 7 лет назад +1

      Johan Nilsson No they cannot. A seasoned BBer was commentating live the show and was saying that the legs are the 1st to go and they are no coming back .. the muscle tissues simple deteriorate a lot quicker in the lower body than the upper body .. So no ...

    • @Nizzon.
      @Nizzon. 7 лет назад

      I know what Dennis James said I was watching the show too. Just because that is what normally happens its not the same for everyone, just lok at Dexter he is only a few years younger than Kev. Sure he never took a break, but all I am saying is that Kev could not train his legs properly because of an injury, so dont judge what you dont know. It looks like Kevin will keep on training so time will tell.

  • @negrojujeno
    @negrojujeno 7 лет назад +2

    hey Kevin, big fan over here! I don't know if you will read this, but I just wanted to say that I hope you continue training hard for one more year and let's see how your body will look like after a whole year of training, your chest, arms, mid section and arms look incredible. it was obvious you needed more time for the back and legs to grow more because they are much larger muscles so it requires more time. just train one more year. qualify for the olympia and I'm sure you'll have a better placing. the whole idea is to show just how great of a genetic freak you are and to show that none of these guys will ever look like you if they stop training for 13 years and try what you are doing at your age. you are the only one that can do it. I'm just 40 and it gives me hope that I can look better if I train hard like you.

    Loved seeing you on stage Kevin. You are the only reason i watched this years Olympia when you hit that most muscular that was sweet. Nothing but love from me man you are #1. Remember back when you posted a video years back you couldn't hit 315 on the bench you have come a long way from strive for 405.
