Let’s start by clicking the “Forms” tab from our Customer Fields dashboard. Here we’ll select the form we want to install. Next, let’s go to our installation tab and select the theme we’d like to use, we’ll use an unpublished theme just to make sure everything works. Now we’ll quickly copy our form ID before enabling the application which will send us to the theme editor in Shopify.
Since our app is enabled, all we have to do is paste in the form ID. The form will populate automatically. Hey, look, our form!
You can also add a Customer Fields form directly into a new section or add a block to an existing section. Let’s add a new section. First, select the form we want to add to this section, and then we’ll paste the form ID where it belongs. Let’s wait for it to load, and don’t forget to save your changes.
For custom locations, Customer Fields also supports Shortcode which can be found in the “installation” section of your form builder and under the section titled “other locations.”
Since everything looks good, we can repeat this process on our live theme.
