I just realize how insanely stronger Defense in BI compared to the Vanilla, I often find that deploying your Generals is far more common when smashing through the lines of the enemies unlike in Vanilla mostly in early-mid game the General Cavalries have substantial lesser Defense and put in more high risk to killing your own General in mid-battle.
Thanks for the comment. Agreed, it seems the main difference is indeed the increased defense. At the same time, the importance of armour piercing is increased :)

Can you do clibinarii immortals vs john pork cavalry? They might be the only unit capable of defeating them
