Fun story: I was taking Microbiology with an accompanied lab course. In the lab course we all streaked various plates with swabs of our neck. Of the entire class (over 30 people) *ONLY I* grew some sort of Neisseria bacteria on a chocolate plate. Well the only one I knew of at the time was Neisseria gonorrhoeae - embarassing! (There are several Neisseria bacteria that get misidentified as N. gonorrhoeae, and some are commensal) Then my professor asked if I spent time in the woods which yes, I do spend more than most and was hiking all day the weekend before class. I also spend time around horses more than the average person. Im not sure about why I was so darn lucky to have a nice shiny green colony on my plate. That was years ago and Im still here...
What I love about your videos is that they are conversant with my textbook, literally down to all the examples. Thank you for helping understand microbiology better 😊
