After seeing this last night I'm kinda convinced Andrew Scott is the world's greatest actor.
Me too🎉
You spelled "History's" wrong 😉
💯
...and he's irish and not stuck up 😅 (I'm from Northern Ireland but we claim him!)
I saw it last night in the cinema and I wholeheartedly agree. David Tennant was also amazing in Good.
Andrew Scott is such a gifted performer. There's an empathy that he exudes which 'causes all his characters to be magnetic, as well as his very person. I feel as though he's the type of individual I'd enjoy sitting down to cup of tea with and catching up about life or just sitting in companionable silence.
Just saw the film All of us Strangers, with Andrew and Paul Mescal. Andrew had me crying with his beautifully quiet and moving performance. Was already a fan of Andrew and just happened to hear that this production was coming up in cinemas. Now looking forward to it even more. This looks like an amazing take on the play.
I saw it 1 month ago here in Brazil and the whole place was sobbing (including myself). Great great acting
Loved this performance so so much! Riveting and moving, and totally locked in on Andrew Scott, a fantastic experience!
Holy cow omg just this trailer was super magnetic. I couldn’t look away. I don’t even think I blinked while watching that. Def going to try to watch it when it comes out.
I live in a pretty big city in Florida, and we used to get National Theatre Live presentations in cinemas all the time (RSC too). Nowadays if we get any at all, it's another "encore" of "Frankenstein." I want to see all of this!!!
Incredible performance. Andrew Scott is a brilliant actor.
Missed it live, can't wait to see it in cinemas!
I never watch the annoying youtube ads that play before something you intend to watch and usually cant wait to press the skip button but I liturally stopped when I saw it and booked tickets to go and see it at my local cinema for today. I hear positive things and really apprciate this type of acting/story telling!
Woohooo! I'm thrilled to see it. Thank you for this opportunity 🎉 it's priceless ❤❤❤❤
There is good and there is purity, there is undiluted love without flashes of color light.
One day when you feel the absence of love you learn to appreciate the smaller grandeur of you.
I see you🎉
Have watched 5 episodes of Ripley in two days...Andrew is spellbinding 🎉
Was lucky to see it in the cinema twice. I wish the National Theatre would release more shows on DVD.
Saw it yesterday at my local theater. Was absolutely amazing
Just saw it in Poland cinema. Honestly,as it ended, I was sooooo close to stand up and clap my hands. Phenomenal!
Andrew scott is the world greatest actor there is no other that can better him x may we have more of this delightful man please ❤
I'm irrevocably in love with Andrew Scott
No words...just...no words. 😢
A genius of an actor.
I just saw it in a German cinema. Master class of acting from Andrew Scott, and congrats to Simon Stephen, Sam Yates and Andrew for the superb adaptation. I went to see it with mixed expectations: I was sure Andrew will deliver a good performance but still I was not sure about the one man show. I was hooked from the very beginning and mesmerized at the end. It was my first experience with National Theater. Do all filmed theater pieces are shown later on the NT website? I would love to see it one more time.
Had already loved Andrew as an actor in several films, including the recent All of Us Strangers, which I recommend. But then I saw this in Toronto at the cinema. I was afraid it might be a kind of actory showoffy thing, but Andrew was so subtle and brilliant. One of the best performances I've seen in a long time. Funny one minute, heartbreaking the next.
Phenomenal performance. One of the best I have ever seen. He's mesmerising. How does he cry like that? I really badly want to watch it again
The play is coming to Mumbai. Cannot wait to watch this. yall get the tickets soon
I have just seen it. It is AMAZING ❤
love love Andrew
Incredible show.
He's devilishly good.
ANDREW SCOTT THE MAN THE LEGEND , it was the best performance art that I witnessed and I am unable to get over it ever since I watched it .
I have an ad for vanya on this vanya video, vanya-ception
if you are a fan of theatre, there is a man who embodies it in one perfectly comedic and heartbreaking performance
Simply adore Andrew Scott. So excited to see this. He is brilliant ❤
Anyone know the piano piece played towards the end?
Please let me know if you find out🥺
Will do. It’s beautiful isn’t it ❤
@@susieg4185 It's so soothing and beautiful❤
not the point but I have that tea towel
me too!!
Just seen it this evening and I love Andrew and his talent even more (Can I actually love someone's talent?? hmm..) but those who have seen it know what I mean. Such a blast!
Amazing performance.... I'm still in awe.
I have a bad health issue that make it impossible for me to do normal stuff like going to the theater. But as soon as I'm recovered, let me tell you that one of the first thing I'll be doing is going to London to watch that man on stage.
Get well soon mate!
@@anuragsharma8779 Thx! That's nice!
Hear he played 7 characters!
8 characters
Cannot wait
How do i watch this. It is not showing in any cinema in Islamabad or any streaming services. I'm a big fan of Scott and I have to see this
oh dear..I do hope you can track it down..
It should eventually show up on the National Theatre @Home streaming service. Can you access that? It would be worth subscribing for a month to see this!
I love this actor since Sherlock. He is charismatic, talented and he deserves the best!
Discovered and been deeply hooked by his Moriarty performance, even if I had very high expectations.
I'm unfortunately not living in the UK, do you know if it will be available online soon ?
Iv booked my ticket I'm excited for this performance he was amazing in all of us strangers 🌈🌈
Great performance. Bravo!
Is this available on dvd anywhere ?
Is there anywhere I can watch this? Like online?
Does anyone know if this will be released on the digital platform of National Theatre?
Absolutly brillante❤
What is the perfect back ground song at the begining?
I live in Turkey and I was wondering how can I watch it? I have an account on National Theatre At Home app but the play isn't on there unfortunately..
It’s going to be available for streaming in September 👏
Can someone please tell me what is the name of the song at 0:40
❤ andrew
Does someone know the music playing in this trailer?
Please let me know if you find out
Will I ever be able to see this as someone from Germany? :(
👏👏👏
Does someone know the title of the piano song?
Heart and soul by Santiago Melo (originally by Hoagy Carmichael but that’s not the piano version) :)
It's like Fleabag's male version 🤭
More likely it's Chehov + Scott magic
Awful in reality- save your money folks !
I'm dithering...can go tomorrow...is it worth braving the cold, the rain, the bus and £17?
Not at all. I have seenmany full productions of Vanya, and this adaptation is absolutely superb. Highly recommended
I just saw it at my local cinema and found his performance spellbinding
And yet he won a Critic's Circle Theatre Award for best actor. I thought it was a mesmerising and truly innovative adaptation of a well-known Chekhov play
Yawn
Not at all. Absolutely superb.
Tell me you haven't actually seen it, without telling me you haven't seen it 😂. Utterly mesmerising and he has won awards for his performance
