  • When William Hope Hodgson died in 1918, the character of Carnacki The Ghost-Finder did not die with him. He lives on in the stories of William Meikle.
Here is one that he kindly allowed me to record.
The story is available in - www.darkregions...

William Meikle did justice to Hodgson's character. He researched Hodgson's style and often snuck in subtle references to the original stories to add to the continuity. Fans will enjoy.
I mean other characters have had very popular iterations written by other authors or screenwriters.
My favorite Sherlock is still from the movie Young Sherlock Holmes.

i approve of his tales. He must know someone who has been recounting my adventures.

Wonderful! I just got "Heaven and Hell" last week, and I'm enjoying it immensely! Have been a fan of the Hodgson stories for many years!

William was a man beyond the ken of most men of his time.
And now, his name sleeps, hidden, often in the shadow of Lovecraft.
The power of the Sigsand Manuscript will soon surface and come into play.
For what creeps towards our reality, The Necronomicon is but a collection of childrens nursery rhymes.
      Well met...

i have unravelled the biggest puzzle presented by the Sigsand Manuscript.
the great mystery of The Unwritten Song.
it's lyrics, it was said, lost to searching eyes but it's utterance heard by Sigsand himself...rumoured to have been placed within a copy of the manuscript but so well hidden as to be invisible unless the code set within the few musical notes of the piece known to exist can be heard....Harzan's Monograph held the first note, as it were, hah!...
thusly, as a mere side effect of facing such deep, dark entities and having sung it, after i discovered its residence with The Sigsand Manuscript, has made me somewhat immortal ! What.
i could listen to you tell tales for weeks on end....

I was actually looking for a different story with the same name.
It had to do with a floor in a Room that formed lips that whistled . I had read it years ago
and would love to read it again.

It's called The Whistling Room and it is in Carnacki The Ghost Finder. You should be able to find it online free of charge. Enjoy!

It's not Hodgson, but another author using Hodgson's character. Bogus!

torjohnson13 It does say under the video that it's a continuation of the character written by someone else, and as there seem to be no more tales to be discovered, and it's very close in style to William Hope Hodgson's originals I would consider it a valid addition.
      And well read, as always.
