To answer your question about dual-wielding fatalities; It can happen with anything two weapons. I've used Chillrend and Dawnbreaker, Glass and Elven dagger, and so on and so forth. I'm sure by now though you already know this.
I love watching how you and I both took a different approach to an assasin. The first questline i did was the dark brotherhood and sneak was the first to get all of my perks.
You can sneak up on the dragur before they wake up even at a low stealth level. You just have to move slowly. Stealth is always the easiest thing to level up for me early on because I sneak through all the dungeons.
My favorite toon you've made so far, I have always loved taking the stealthy approach to video games whenever possible. You can't imagine how happy I was when you began playing it again, rewatching the entire playlist again! :D

If you'll take a look at when the video is created you will notice it was way back around skyrims release. This was my second toon and at the time I was rather new to the game. If your looking for more "technically" correct videos you'll want to watch my more curent characters.
archers defending fortifications would sometimes wear heavy armor to protect against counter fire. also ever hear of a crossbow or arbalest? heavy archers would usually use those to punch through attackers armor
Loving the letsplay so far, when I play I generally do the exact same except I assassinate the hunter by the Standing Stones which increases sneak level right off the bat, as well as going straight to Anises cabin to assassinate her for some more XP and I also unenchant her clothing for enchantment level, I also go through the Embershard mine to get some XP, (there is a smithing XP book and lots of loot for early gameplay), but really entertaining, glad you skip dialogue as well, it's so slow.
Everyone saying daggers are weak, you don't use them like swords. They're best for stealth. So combine them with Sneaking perks, flurry attack perks.. the Dark Brotherhood has a set of gloves that allows for double backstab damage. Also, enchanting your daggers is a good idea for extra damage. Above all, improve all your weapons. Seriously. x]
This was a year ago early at release. However, that being said. with the armor cap and the right perks any armor in the game can easily hit the armor cap of I believe 567. Anything above that is meaningless. So armor is mainly a cosmetic choice late game.
Actually, there were some archers that wore mail and some heavy armor. They were Ballista Archers. They carried rather large crossbows that had the capability to destroy lightly armored buildings and heavily armored troops. Just a little fun-fact.
When I think assassin I dont think sniper. I have 2 different archers on the channel. This was my first run at an assassin back around Skyrims launch. The series starts off rough but over time it gets rapidly better as I learn the ins and outs of stealth. Towards the end of the series the character is completely over powered, front facing full sunlight sneak attacks for 800+ damage
One of my warrior builds I had Sword and board as my main then archer as my ranged. So I can pick a few off then if I get detected I switch to melee. I always run a melee/range builds either physical or magical
I'm Hoping you can but out with a video soon employing the following: Hmm, if you find yourself relying on bows/daggers and are lower level,- I'd suggest Bound Weapons overall and use Alchemy for a temp boost when you get in a bind. Invest in Fortify & Regen Magicka Potion(s) in case you don't have a large enough pool. (1) Fort Amol is where to find the tome known as the "Bound Bow" aka "Mystic Bow" aka "Enchanted Bow". The benefit to this is not really DPS unless you invest in the Conjuration* perk,- it is more the need for unlimited ammunition if you're a decent kite-master. The only suggestion is to invest in [Silent Casting] found in the Illusion tree. (2) The 'Bound Dagger" is in the DLC Dragonborn I think* (I have Skyrim Legendary Edition) Take a trip from Windhelm docks and speak to "Gjalund Salt-Sage" on his boat to sail you to "Morrowind: Solstheim. When you get to Solstheim "Raven Rock" head east to Tel Mithryn where you'll have to work for the assistant Talvas - just as you arrive. Afterwards he is selling wares to include the Bound Dagger Tome. (3) ARCANE ASSASSIN aka " The Trickster" ****Sneak (right tree) ****One Handed/Archery depending on preference. ***Illusion: Quiet Casting perk (all spells are quiet) ***Conjuration: Oblivion Binding perk (Immediately banishes conjured minions) ***Alchemy: Concentrated Poisons perk, Benefactor perk (supports quicker kills/recovery dealing with pesky mobs) -Speech (as per needed, self-explanatory almost useful on any character) Enchanting (optional) -or Smithing (optional): Turn trash gear into cash to finance Alchemy :) * If used in unison will make an awesome fun-factor & powerful versatility. ** Essential Primaries I hope to see my primary build come into play here. Just a history buff here, not criticizing, just educating. Historically, combat archers (as opposed to hunters or competitive archers) were usually rather heavily armored. They didn't sneak around the outskirts to try and snipe people off the mid lines, they were right on the front lines. Sometimes they had shieldmen in front, but more often they didn't. And if your enemy is in archery range, then so are you. So they had as much armor as they could get to give at least some defense against the enemy arrows. Often even having a shield or two of their own (like the Japanese archers, that had their shields worn on the shoulders rather than held in their hands, and fired their bows kindof sideways rather than straight forward).
You can. Its just a waste of a special perk. They have an aoe fire damage spell as their racial. Something you probably wouldnt use much as an assassin. That being said nothing wrong with using them, especially if you are going the vamp/vamplord route. The fire resist is huge
So he misses a sneak attack on the first draugr and immediately assumes you can sneak attack them? Well, you can. In the beginning it's easier to sneak attack them with bows though.
Ok for one thats absurd. I can hardly imagine Draugr walking around with fresh candles. What do they do about the candles that are hanging from the ceilings? Do they keep ladders in their coffins? What if the Dragonborn walked in while they were in the middle of replacing them? That would be kind of awkward.

Would the feandal archery trick work for other companions. I.e the companions so that when you finish it and have Farkas as your follower then would he train at whatever he does and then you could just take the gold back. This would be very helpful because he can train you to lvl 90
that room you were in during the beginning is called the dev room, sort of a hacked room with every piece of armor weaps, miscellaneous, potions soul gems pretty much everything in large amounts of them
kill moves happen with any weapon or dual wielding any weapon(s) wether they be same or different. ive used khajit claws in beginning and got a kill move. (picks up the opponents and slams them down head first into the ground)
Whenever you start an Assassin character, use a bow immediately. It's really damn useful at the beginning. At the start, just when you get into first bear fight. Use a bow combined with Spider Venom and it kills it instantly

u can lvl sneak easily while in the tome. When u come to the waterfall where the draugar walks the bridge just sneak to the hole above so that the draugar can see you then stay there. The dragaur will see u, lose u, see u, lose u and so on..
imo If you are playing on master and you are a pure warrior, archery is nice. You can take down some health on mobs as they close in on you, then switch out to your main weapon. Also, bows are handy to bring down dragons so that you can close in on them with your main. I think you would agree that it is kinda hard to kill dragons with a sword as they fly about.
I find the best why to improve sneak skill is to go anywhere that has Falmer. There blind and rely on hearing so you can just sneak right past then and they'll have no idea!
When you said leveling sneak is difficult during the video, I was kinda confused because I went through Bleak Falls Barrow killing all the Draugr with two daggers, and I was playing as a nord. My sneak went from 15 to 31 at the end of it, so I thought it was really easy
I understand why everyone always picks to escape with the storm cloak guy cuz u where about to be beheaded but the imperials,but if u escape with the imperials the loot is a lot better cuz u get acces to every class of me lee weapon
stevegoesrogue I go with the imperials cuz the stormcloaks where the ones that got u captured in the first place... so the imperials aren't to blame here also general gallius gives me more of a military feel
going with the stormcloaks gets you immediate access to heavy armor, and if one of them happens to "accidentally" die, you can take their warhammer to get access to the twohanded weapons. Going with Imperials you only get heavy armor after you escape from Helgen. Also, you get two opportunities to exploit ralof to power-level your sneak skill by repeatedly backstabbing him. Not to mention, Stormcloaks are awesome!
their is a way to get you sneak up to 100 at the very starting area when you sneak past the bear getting out of Helgen. you just need to crouch behind you follower when you enter that little cave bit by the bear and keep hitting him in the back, it takes about 30 minutes at the most and and you also get to about level 21, this is a little late but it could be helpful

When you break into the thalmor embassy try the display case that has the elven daggers in they do 11 damage

@Leo Oh It counts as One-Handed. You need a weapon that's both Left and Right for Two-Handed, except bows.

One thing that I've noticed, is that the khajit claws perk makes your unarmed attacks stronger than most starting weapons.

with dual wield the fatalities, i believe you can use the same weapon in both hands, and it can be swords daggers, etc.

What race would be best for an assassin type character? My assassin is gunna be a vampire so its got increased sneak and can see in dark like Kahjiit.

you can do fatality things with pretty much any melee weapon. I've done it with swords before.

that room you said you never went in is the place you go to if you choose to go with the imperial instead of the stormcloak

News flash, once you kill the first wave of imperials, you can go back to the room they came from and steal weapons.
