I've been thinking of flavoring the plasmoid as a conscious swarm of insects. Go swarmkeeper ranger and find some way to fly and terrorize the Forgotten Realms as a colony of bees!
The autognome ideas got my mind racing. Myr are a race of tiny robots in MTG and now I totally want to play an autognome Myr in a 5e game - or have them show up in a game I'm running. Excellent video as always and looking forward to the next class reflavoring!
I helped an old school player that wanted to be a Mindflayer in the underdark like he did in 2nd. So we took Thri-Kreen to use the 2 lesser arms as his face tentacles. The less sleep and telepathy add to it. He is an Aberrant mind Sorcerer with Transmuted Spell but letting him do Psi damage. We also reskinned a rat familiar to be a cranium rat
Concept: Tabaxi traits reflavored to fit a spider-like race. The proficiency in Perception and Stealth, the climbing speed, and the Darkvision translates perfectly already. Your natural claw weapons could be reflavored into fangs or even an attack with spider legs, and the Feline Agility trait works for a spidery character as well (though perhaps with a name change) since spiders also sometimes move in a similar way as is described in the text for that trait. (With your “reflexes and agility” allowing you to “move with a burst of speed”, and having to spend a turn not moving to be able to do it again, much like how spiders will quickly skitter across a surface only to stop at a point for a while, before moving again.)
Plasmoid: An octopus can squeeze through spaces of an inch or larger, you could use this stat block as some sort of octopus character. The 'shape self' could be some sort of arranging of your tentacles, and the pseudopod could be a limb you cut off; octopus limbs can move for an hour after being cut off.
@@TheClericCorner I'm a serial D&D subscriber, and this week it's your turn hahaha. I think your videos have prompted more ideas out of me than usual videos, so I thought it would be nice to comment.
For the animated armor idea you can have a sidekick character joining you using the spellcaster sidekick and have them be your creator and you can act as a bodyguard for them (you could even ask your dm if your spellcaster npc can take spells from the wizard and artificer spell list rather than just wizard so it's more in line with the other options since the other two gets to pull from two lists)
A plasmoid I saw online was a sentient weapon fell in to a elderbrain brain giving it sentience and once the brain become a elderbrain dragon to brine became an adventurer
Thri-Kreen, hands down, pun intended. Four hands gives so much versatility. The no sleeping, the lore, and the rest make for such great possibilities for social shenanigans. I love my little bug people. A mercenary band of thri-kreen with pikes in their big hands and hand crossbow and reloads in their secondary arms becomes a completely contained pike-and-shot formation. Give them some specialized spellcasters who take Silence and Counterspell as support to prevent the formation from being fireballed. Have the party run into them as enemies or as neutral NPCs. You can be a barbarian with a greataxe and two hand axes. A fighter with scimitars and hand crossbows and a shield (I’m building this one, scimitars reflavored into kodachi, basically small samurai swords, for an insect samurai cowboy). An Artillerist artificer with a handheld eldritch cannon, arcane firearm, and second eldritch cannon at high levels, all handheld, with a free hand for somatic components or a shield. Until you get two eldritch cannons, you can do both of those things, and even afterwards, you could mount the cannons to your shoulders or something. Or a grappler Rune Knight who also uses weapons to stab people he has restrained, and a whip to take Sentinel opportunity attacks. Or a ranger with a bow and two swords. Or a bladesinger. No juggling foci and weapons and materials. Heck, you could even use some of your hands for climbing and the other for sniping with a hand crossbow while suspended from a wall.
I hope hadozee comes out officially as they currently are they aren't overly strong just mobile (which ultimately doesn't matter unless you're traveling alone because you'd have to stick around your allies in case they get attacked, additionally they should probably add to both hadozee glide and simic hybrid's manta glide that gliding uses falling rules meaning you aren't using movement because you're falling which is how those abilities work but they're worded in a way that confuses people some people think that it uses your movement which isn't how falling works) and they have the ability to use items as a bonus action meaning they can bonus action throw Alchemist fire, vial of acid, administer poison onto a weapon, or pour out a bag of ball bearings to list off a couple fun options which aren't overly powerful and with their now bonus action use are more useful, also monkey's are cool and based

That's a match up I'd love to see!! That's a great idea!
What a great idea!!
The Autognome could make for a really fun Pinocchio warlock build. Have them be a puppet that was granted life and sentient by a fairy.
Ooh! That's a fantastic idea!!

I mean cranium rats can already be used for familiars if you allow the optional ones

OMG this is brilliant!
You could also reflavor a plasmoid as a raggomuffyn, forsaken shell, elemental, or swarm of creatures!
I think the Simic Hybrid has a glide ability, too!
Oh I forgot about that one! Thanks for the reminder! Also appreciate you making around some of my videos! 😂

I've been enjoying the concept of an Aberrant Mind sorcerer Plasmoid being a puddle of illithid brine, "piloted" by a tadpole
I was thinking… can an auto gnome be reflavored as a living gingerbread man? I’m planning on doing an eldraine campaign
I'm most excited for the Plamoids! Also, shout out to my favorite dinosaur, the Ankylosaurus!
What?? Mine too!! Lol
@@TheClericCorner heck yeah!
Simic Hybrid has the option to have the Glide feature.

I’m planning to make a plasmoid character for a Ravnica campaign, as a “mutant” from the Simic Combine. That could be really fun 😂😂😂
The Giff sounds amazing! Thank you for the insights!
Hey thanks for the comment! Giff have little abilities but they are good ones! Add a little bit of barbarian to any class 😂
Absolutely want to see other races.
here's on I've done: Rock Gnomes are 100% Christmas Elves
Anyone have a favorite out of the new UA subraces?
Plasmoid's for life! I want a party full of pudding.
