Personally I think they should've just update the armor profile so the lower plate doesn't become an autobounce, and the cupola should be ALOT weaker. Nerfing the entire suspension equipment for the entire line seems pointless now to use, alongside the tier 9 which nobody talked about or really used. Type is still an ok tank, it's a mix between the E5 and Is-4 in some ways, but in clan wars, E5 has pretty much completely replaced the Type, unfortunate.
Type 71 spammers on life support. The armor is still stupid and that's what makes it worth driving, now it will pay knowing positioning and not wiggling the tank, which required no skill.

And i liked it very well with its mobility perk rather than the gun depression perk... Now its just another hull down ht in a vast list of hull down hts... A nerf on its traverse, not its speed and make it's lower plate armor a bit low would have been a better nerf in my opinion... Now with its reduced mobility.. People can easily pen it with prammo.. Having lot of armor doesn't matter if the enemy knows how to pen you with prammo.... Trust me.. I've learned it the hard way while driving a type 71... Type 71 doesn't have thick armor... It's not fun, it's boring and considering how shit the armor is when you have basic knowledge, it doesn't even make sense to Nerf the speed to this point. 38°-40° traverse and less acceleration would most likely have been enough, plus it'd make the depression even more relevant if they only nerfed the speed module which would make it faster but not stupidly broken. It's a waste of time and resources when you get a tank just for it to be nerfed this hard, giving it what is at this point the most repetitive playstyle imo. Hull down has become more boring than staring at a wall. *Mmmm yesss so fun let's sit on a hill and pew pew the other team until it dies*. everytime they introduce a new unique tank into the game people complain and then anything unique about it gets nerfed into oblivion and the tank becomes like every vehicle of it's class

To be honest I think no one is complains if they add Type 5 Heavy Line instead of this. Atleast Type 5 can get countered easier than Type 71. Type 71 you have to literally requires 2 players to do so unless you trust your RNGs to make a clean shot on the cupola

The hatch is a weak point, the cheaks and the turret ring. The IS4 does not have those weaknesses (from my own expierience). Well exept the ring

in my experience, the IS-4 sealclubs the Type 71. I'm saying this as an IS-4 player.
