Honestly, I've been in relationships and been single, there's no one that is more attractive than someone who is single, and happy, and living their best life and being selective and confident. I swear, whenever my focus has eclipsed me completely, all of a sudden, guys come out of nowhere and want numbers and dates and to get to know who you are. I will say, I was having so much fun on my own that the bar was high as it should be.

With the being too eager - I had my absolute best time on apps when going with the approach that I just wanted to meet new people. I let guys know this when they asked what I was looking for etc and then we met with more relaxed intentions.

i’m late to this episode but i really needed to hear it.. my 4 year relationship ended 7 months ago and i’m barely starting to feel good about being single and being on my own
I currently have a lil crush kind of, this guy at my job. I work at an Amazon warehouse. This guy walks confidently, looks serious af but when he talks to ppl i see him laugh and smile. He seems like such a nice n friendly person. Has these broad shoulders. I spoke to him few times. Like 2 times maybe 3. We both loon at each other quite a bit. Im too scared to say anything. Have for monthsss. But finally on Jan 1st i said i thought he was cute. He smiled and said thank you. Him not saying anything back at all after gave me the indication of him possibly being in a relationship. I learned a lesson tho. Had i said something far earlier when i wanted to it might be different. Im such a chicken shit lol 😅

Just my understanding:
Talking: Communicating through different mediums, getting to know each other but without meeting each other (calling, texting, snapchatting, dating apps, whatever)
Dating: Actively going on dates but you´re not in a relationship
Being exclusive: Only dating and talking to each other but not being in a relationship

I've been single for a long time ( not in a serious ltr for 10 plus years) and at this moment and for the past while, have been good with it. I have a lot of things I am working on and like doing that a relationship would get in the way of. Those moments of when I was wanting something but not looking, it did NOT happen. Like a cold winter in Antartica. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. So not sure how it happened for others, but not me lol. The only way to actually find something is to look.
