    Great to see a quality review of body board fins. Hope to see more of the same. Maybe a comparison video of all the fins you offer.

    Appreciate the review, but Sorry, V7 is not the "original"...... V7 is actually 3rd or 4th generation. The original had full side rails above and below the blade and no drain hole (picture old school star wars tie-fighter with a panel on each side, blade across the middle). Worked great for bodysurfing at the wedge because of the "backslide" riding style where the fins were bottom side to the wave and would hold your position higher in the tube, but we found it had too much force and required too much leg strength for most and would cause cramps. That and the bottom side blades were only useful on steep waves, and Drop Knee riders could not use them because of the bottom blade. So it was re-designed. How? glad you asked, a couple of drop knee riders at the time, including I think Pat Caldwell although I could be wrong about that, asked if they could get the fins without the bottom side rails, so when a new shipment came in, Fred and My dad opened each box, used a box cutter blade, and slice off the bottom rails in the warehouse in CM. The initial response was positive but they continued to do it that way for about a year or two because It was cheaper than re-making the molds and until they knew it was going to be a more widespread successful Mod they did not want to pop the cash for the new molds. Obviously it did become a success and the V7 was born.
    Tip for wide feet go up a size and glue neoprene pad on the top inside of the foot pocket leaving yourself enough material to "Wrap" around the top of the pocket and glue it down to the outside otherwise it will shear off when you try to put your foot in.

      Yeah I got the worst calf cramps of my life in both legs at once at the wedge once wearing those original "quad blade" fins. Closest I ever thought I was to dying lol

    Best in the water! Yellow dot all the way. Especially if you like being able to power into the outside section and coast it into the nasty bottom drop out slab dumping burner section of the barrel! ChOOOHW

    the long vipers are my choice, my friend just looked at them and said too heavy. I like the power , and bicycle riders classify my body type as Clydesdale, so they match up well.
    Most beach people have wide feet, myself included, but I never noticed a problem with the width. A pediatrist once advised me that width is not as important as length , but then I don't stay out for hours on end anymore. I do use a foam addition from "da kind" on the strap to snug up the fit.

      Thanks for the feedback! I have wide feet and absolutely can't wear these fins, but there's a fin for every foot!

      @@eBodyboardingcom Great review! I was just thinking about purchasing these but I have wide feet also so maybe not the right ones for me. As a fellow wide footer what make would you suggest J?

    Do they still make these like the original ones. I know the newer we were complaining they weren’t as stiff

      No, that was the Viper Vectors, which were made from 2013-2016, but in 2016, they went back to the original Viper rubber.

    where i can find the v7 yellow size S? Thanks you

    • @eBodyboardingcom
      @eBodyboardingcom  2 года назад

      Sorry, but Viper doesn't make the V7 in size small. Generally larger riders prefer the V7, so they wouldn't do well with that fin in size small.

    They used to be good. I bought a pair and the quality is shockingly bad, they does not float and they are heavy too. I don't recommend them anymore.

      @@adriansrfr for bodyboarding? I would go with the small Hubb or stealth army one. For anything else I would buy Dafins. They are light, confortable powerful and the quality is good.

      @@Makta972 i own the newer v7 vipers and i think they're way more powerful than da fin. Ive used da fin too. I agree though on the weight, viper v7's are heavy and absolutely do not float either
