Nice job Danillo, enjoyed it. Been working on it myself with only a couple of minor differences - I go up on octave on the interlude and outro (if you got the frets, gives it a more steely mandolin sound). Really liked/needed that lick @ around 0:17. Was able to figure out with the pause button. Thanks for making my playing sound better!
Just looking at your Uke, looks like you are one fret short of that octave, looks like only get to Eb on that. Try it on another Uke, you will love the sound it gives you on those parts.
Nohea Mike I had a small ukulele. So I bought this. Two questions: -When you say "go up on octave", in the interlude means passing -7-5-3-0 to -15-13-11-8 ? -What kind of pick you use to play solos on the ukulele?
It would be 19-17-15-12 I believe Danillo - 12 1/2 steps between octaves (you forgot about the black keys on a keyboard). Usually 12 frets on a soprano (up to 15), and 18 to 19 on concert (15-20 range) and tenors (15+) - just looked that up myself. My concert and tenors all have 18 or 19 frets. As to a pick, I don't use one. That is more of a habit of guitar players, though certainly not limited to them. On two string solos I use thumb and index, 3 or 4 strings are thumb on G and C strings, index on E string and middle on A string. Lots use a string per finger, but I am not to that point yet - just getting into picking patterns (arpeggios) and solos. - mike
Where in Brazil are you? Been there once myself, Sau Paulo for the F1 Brazilian grand prix. Had an awesome time, Brazil and Brazilians treated me real well. Everywhere I took my Uke, people stopped me and wanted to talk - it was a great ice breaker!
This is good. Change it a little and do another, one that more closely matches what the girl (daughter) does in "Music Family" cover of this song. She does riffs way up the fretboard.
thanks. Years ago, when I trained this song, I saw the "music family"´s video and I liked the way the girl played the chord "Am". Sounds great. Then I started to play like her.I could not see the riff (just before this chord ) in her video, so I adapted my way.
@@ukedrv From what I can tell, the riff she plays is just like yours but she replaces the first down strum of the Am chord with another open E pluck at the end of the riff. This is not accurate to the mandolin version, but it still sounds good, it probably is just to give her an extra moment to jump down the fret board.
Awesome! cover just got my first ukelele yesterday. Where can I find this Tab ( the one your playing as it seems to be spot on).... I've seen loads but not perfect.

I can't tell you about the strum (up and down) because I play by instinct. The way I feel it sounds good. I don't think people need to play like the original, the important thing is the correct chords and solos (the tab is posted in the video description). Sorry I can't help you on this point. I saw your video, you play well.
@@ukedrv Thank you very much really, and in that you are right only that I loved the way you play it, and well thank you very much for seeing me I am just starting in the world of the ukulele :) and you do not know how much I love it and more to see how you play for that I would like to learn how you play it anyway thank you very much for answering
thanks for the quick response can you tell me how you play that lick when you move from the intro to the actual song. you did so fast couldnt catch it. it's really nice :D
Muito obrigado ! eu acho que quem já toca violão sente mais facilidade para tocar ukulele, como era meu caso. Mas Losing my religion tem muito detalhe. Precisa começar com músicas fáceis mesmo.
Ah it's not that hard, you could do it with practice c: There are children that do full scale lengths with tiny hands simply because they have practiced and increased their hand flexibility and technique over time. Believe in yourself haha.
Oh, life is bigger
It's bigger
Than you and you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
The distance in your eyes
Oh no, I've said too much
I set it up
That's me in the corner
That's me in the spotlight
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no, I've said too much
I haven't said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try
Every whisper
Of every waking hour
I'm choosing my confessions
Trying to keep an eye on you
Like a hurt lost and blinded fool, fool
Oh no, I've said too much
I set it up
Consider this
Consider this
The hint of the century
Consider this
The slip that brought me
To my knees failed
What if all these fantasies
Come flailing around
Now I've said too much
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try
But that was just a dream
That was just a dream
That's me in the corner
That's me in the spotlight
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no, I've said too much
I haven't said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try
But that was just a dream
Try, cry
Why try?
That was just a dream, just a dream, just a dream
Dream

excuse me. I missed a detail. Follows the link

What type of ukulele do you have??
I have a ukulele Kala ( concert). The size of the concert I think is better than the soprano for solos or riffs.
tabs for the interlude please it seems unclear in the description, great cover though :)
+Marwan Bayoumi Thanks. I posted a better version of the tab (interlude) here: pastebin.com/rN07S74f
thanks for the quick response can you tell me how you play that lick when you move from the intro to the actual song. you did so fast couldnt catch it. it's really nice :D
+Marwan Bayoumi I know what part you refer. It is the most difficult. See the link: pastebin.com/tu9NV3J4
thanks man
is the E 0 C 0 G 2 part at the end necessary? I see you dont play it. It sounds way better wihtout it!
+Marwan Bayoumi the "E 0 C 0 G 2" is the chord Am . It´s the first chord after the lick.
Comprei um ukulele só por causa dessa música. Mas não consigo tocar nem algo simples como I'm yours :/ Parabéns você toca muito!

Holder! That stretched out chord...only an octopus or a simian could play that ( no offence)But we are related & all, haha
Thank you. The normal chord is Am, but I think it sounds better this way hehehe
