To say Steven Wilson is ahead of his time would mean that one day alot more people would be able to write like him. it will never happen, he somehow has found exactly what he was meant to do and were glad he did, i appreciate his music very much.
IMHO this man is one of the most talented musicians Ive ever heard in my 51 years. Porcupine Tree and Blackfield with Steven Wilson are sublimely fulfilling, moving and just plain fantastic stuff. As a drummer I also have very much appreciation of Gavin Harrison and his sick drumming.
Porcupine Tree is amazing. They have an elite group of band members. Especially their drummer. Furthermore, Steven Wilson has really changed my life. He has inspired me to become a better musician and songwriter and his music has definitely touched my soul. I wish to meet him some day and sing a song with him or just hang out and talk. I can wait for his solo new album!

"Sentimental" was born from "Normal". Partly due to "Normal" being so long, and the rest of the tracks for Fear Of A Blank Planet were already lengthy, Steven decided to make a shorter, much stronger song from the core of the song. This is why they are similar in some ways, and different in others. :o)
