- We spend a warm evening at the Lansdowne station on the Media/Wawa Line watching the PM Rush Hour. We see all kinds of trains such as SV4’s/SV5’s/ACS64 Bomber Trains (for Bombardier push pull cars) and hear all kinds of horns. This is a fairly busy line and it provided great entertainment.
I used to live in Lansdowne, and used the train to commute to work in Philly. It was always a pleasure to take the train.
Nice video and coverage of SEPTA commuter operations. Landesdowne is a beautiful suburban Philly community and that station is classic. And BUDD still makes those great passenger coaches…and a fan of the BUDD RDCs!
Once again, simply pure railfan fun with your wonderful cinematic eye for any action that any railfan would love! Thanks for sharing!
Cinematic eye. Interesting description
I love trains, so much. Good thing you're careful not to get hurt by these big locomotives, it might be police chase. Septa has been the best transportation services since time, so cool
Thanks for visiting and showing the action from Lansdowne station. I live in Lansdowne and use this line. One time I even got to ride through the center tunnel from Doylestown to Lansdowne as a through train ride. It was nice when they added those small step ups from the concrete platform as it made it easier to get on the steps of the train. By the way you mentioned at the beginning how old the station was. We did have a fire at the station several years ago but the community got together to get the station rebuilt as it was first constructed. It defiantly one of our proud traditional buildings. One last comment about the lack of Phillies fans ridding to the game. We have several bus lines that feed to 69th Street Terminal where we can connect to the El and have easy connection to the Broad Street Subway to the stadium. So most fans tend to use those routes to get to the game.
I figured maybe the regional rail wouldn’t be convenient for baseball fans to citizens Bank Park
Man, SEPTA has some beautiful stations, I just wish they’d build more door-level platforms! But the entire system is electrified, which is a rarity in the states, so I guess I can’t complain too much.
On the way back into town, and I had to really climb a mountain to get onto the train
My home station :) Love the video
Count me as a fan of Stravinski’s Rite of Spring
Complex music but quite dramatic and a classic of modern music.
Nice! I’ve noticed you’ve been going to Philly a lot recently.
I go every once in awhile 😀😀
When I'm going to Philly, I'm saying a prayer that I will ride on a silverliner V. Not those dirty, stupid silverliner IV
Sad to say some of the Silverliner V’s are dirty.
They really need to fix the brakes on the Sliverliner V’s
They are noisy I’ll admit
Man, I need to learn more abt SEPTA
I’ve had fun riding it for years
@@3985uprr I’ve *never* ridden it but it would like to ride it, those newer EMUs look nice(the one that’s in the thumbnail)
Hello retired horn guy, question to ask you did you ever do a video on the Locust street subway train tunnel. What is past 15th and 16th subway station. Thanks for any information
There’s nothing past that that’s the last stop on Patco
Thanks
Lansdowne station is a hop and a skip from me. I keep missing you when youre in town
I’m like a slippery fish. Hard to keep still and I’m always jumping around.
