Honestly the lights being on for this ride is one of the coolest things ever. It makes you see all the detail Universal put in. For years I thought the dragon was just the head BUT TO SEE THE FULL BODY!!!! Universal really went all out!
The lights being on really made me appreciate how much dedication and attention to detail on each prop has. Especially the dragon part, I never would have guessed they created a full body dragon..
FYI the person next to me was screaming the lights were on the whole time and so when we first got on the ride we were stuck in a weird position for about 20 minutes until the ride was finally working. Yes I was very excited and it was such a cool experience. Sorry for hearing the lights were on the whole time 😂
LOL!!!! It made me laugh so much hearing him say, “Oh my gosh guys! The lights are on!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 So funny!!!!! It’s like he was more worried of the lights being on rather than how scary the giant spider was or the dementors coming up to him!
I remember going on this and first time it got stuck lol we had skipped the soccer field thing or whatever scene lol with the rings I thought hermoine was speaking lol they did awesome because they put hermiones voice to tell us that we had gotten stuck :))
this is hella cool ! i got stuck in front of two dementors and it was so scary but my friends and i were asking them dumb questions so we weren’t as scared even tho they’re HUGE 💀😭 they didn’t turn the lights on either so we were in the dark
I wonder what the blue fabric tubes seen at 1:06 are for? In footage from the Orlando version also with lights on there's a white, round, fabric tent in the same place, also with a large tube. Trying to piece together what's on the other side, it seems to be a small cave. Could those blue tubes be air intakes for a wind effect? 🤔
@@dannagarcia2556 hi! sry for late response but if u don’t think gringotts is scary, this will be a piece of cake. it’s one of my favorites. just watch out for the dragons spiders and dementors!!
A while ago the ride stopped with me and my family facing down it was pretty dark and quiet but then it came back one but we couldn’t see the scene where they were playing quadich 🥲 but I still loved it wish I could go again 😊
My favorite part is when the whomping willow comes out because it carries you facing almost upside down. It is just fun. If you look at the cart next to him closely, you can see that part. It’s at 1:31 it also feels like the tree is going to hit you
I have arachnophobia and it caused me to lose my voice. The second we entered the spider set, I shut my eyes and told my brother to tell me when it’s done. He tricked me and I opened my eyes to an angry Aragog and I screamed like a girl.
@@the_ender4791 agreed! I went yesterday and rode the ride for the first time. I’m terrified of spiders and this room creeped me out. I closed my eyes as soon as I saw the first spider. Every time I reopened my eyes, there was another spider and I freaked out!
I’ve been on TT and YT investigating this ride for like an hour now for that same reason. I specifically get extreme anxiety around fake spiders (2D is way less threatening than 3D) so I was trying to see if they were part of the screen or part of the set. This is the best video to depict how well-done these creatures are on this ride. This scenario is terrifying to me, my personal nightmare to be pushed up against these props in ways you can’t control. It’s seems like a cool concept of a ride so it’s cool to see all the operations with the lights on but it’s clearly not accessible to me and my fears. I might have a stress induced heart attack. 😅 Very glad I decided to look at some videos before going to universal studios for the first time, saved my self some trouble. 😅😅😅
It’s very cool until you realize how creepy and dark it looks when ur on the ride when you look down at the floor. Just wonder what’s behind you when ur in the car. You can’t see behind you. It’s probably very creepy.
2 days ago me and my bff whom are children got stuck on the ride alone not even with strangers, we went ballistic and screamed so much the emergency team put us through and emergency exit the lights were on and we saw how high we were and screamed even more!( if you want more detailed reply)
Honestly the lights being on for this ride is one of the most meh things ever. It makes you see all the crappy paper mache non animatronics Universal put in. For years I knew the dragon was just the head BUT TO SEE THE Play-doh generic looking BODY!!!! Universal really cheaped out! An overrated bore.
The ride doesn't really change that much from the Simpsons or Transformers setup. Once you find out it's all motion simulator with a screen playing a vod, the fear just goes away. Very low thrill compared to, say X2.
idk what Simpsons ride you went on but the one at universal Orlando is utter shit in comparison to this. One is a stationary old time sim vs this new robotic arm thing on tracks which is honestly way more flexible and cooler. X2 looks cool. I'm looking forward to riding Velocicoaster.

all good, you can’t control what someone says lol
The person who screamed that also recorded a video
The channel Maad Theme Park Updates
i saw the video that guy posted 😭😭
oh is that what he said I didn't catch it the first 50 times
LOL!!!! It made me laugh so much hearing him say, “Oh my gosh guys! The lights are on!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 So funny!!!!! It’s like he was more worried of the lights being on rather than how scary the giant spider was or the dementors coming up to him!
That dragon scene is amazing. The decorations are beautiful.
It is an amazing experience with the lights off. I never thought that it would still be good with the lights on. It looked like fun.
It still looks amazing in full light! That dragon 😮
Have your ride this ride the dragon breath hot water
@@hoya3240 yes, it's amazing
Awesome rare footage! Would it be okay if I used it in a video production I'm making about scary dark rides? I will give full credit to your channel.
Yes ofc thank you
WOO I LOVE THIS RIDE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE VIDEO!!
When your ride still looks good with lights on, yeah your ride kick ass
Spider scene still gets me to this day! Creepy….😬
The dementors are still creepy with the lights on!
That’s how it should be!
If only Aragog would move then for sure it would of creeped me out
It’s bad enough hes there in general, if he moved I would shit a brick lmfao
"The lights are on!! This is so cool!!" X 16 times.
I remember going on this and first time it got stuck lol we had skipped the soccer field thing or whatever scene lol with the rings I thought hermoine was speaking lol they did awesome because they put hermiones voice to tell us that we had gotten stuck :))
You said lol 3 times
that's cool they have the characters voices to tell you you're stuck
This looks better than the Orlando version, the dementors and animatronics look so good.
2:30 i always hate this part but its even more scary with the lights on lol
this is hella cool ! i got stuck in front of two dementors and it was so scary but my friends and i were asking them dumb questions so we weren’t as scared even tho they’re HUGE 💀😭 they didn’t turn the lights on either so we were in the dark
"Hella"? You stuck in 2010?
I always have to close my eyes on the dementor scene! I feel like I would still have too even with the lights on!
I thought I was the only one 😅
Same with the spiders.
I also did on the spider and dragon I went yesterday
Same
It's pretty cool to see how this works.
it was scary to be stuck and see how high you were (speaking from experience)
1:05 I love this part because I can see the cars next to me and how the robot arms work

the tubes are the pipeline holes in the chamber of secrets scene. 2:16 is what it looks like on the other side
Nice. Got stuck on the ride twice. I was like let me do it again. What’s the odd of getting stuck again. Clearly I got stuck again😫
Guys the lights are on and this is so cool.
I remember this happened to me as well, got a second ride free
Whoa! With the lights on you can now I see why people get motion sickness on this ride 🤢
I've ridden it 3 times, and it's nauseating every time! Lol
I always get nervous with the ride and its height lol.
But hey it isn't that bad when it isn't that steep.
Is it scary? Does it go upside down? I don’t find escape from gringotts that’s scary as a reference of my scare tolerance

Bro I got stuck on the waterfall part
I thought I was gonna die at the same place I got a Bowser plush
I got suck on the ride too with my cousin while my parents went to go eat at a restaurant at Universal. The lights were on, but we stopped moving.
I went on this ride 10 times I swear it’s because we went on single rider it takes one second so amazing
So I'm dying to know.... are the lights on?
Yes
dementors are in your face and your freaking out
"THE LIGHTS ARE ON"

This ride is really cool I could ride it a hundred times the creatures in this ride are really cool ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
So did we, we were 20 feet up with the dementors laying down looking straight up
Lol that sounds so scary!!
It doesn't go 20 feet up
Guys I just realized something, the lights are on 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
I WAS IN THERE THAT TIME
Were you in this same cart? Or did you hear the guy saying “the lights are on”? 🤣🤣
I may be a giant baby but that ride was terrifying the first time I rode it😭😂
Actually more scary with the lights
Did Ye Get Stuck on the Ride
Yo how do you get them to turn on the lights???? I need answers

Wait..... are the lights on?
I wonder if the lights were on?
When the lights are on I just want to jump off the ride idk why
When i was there i was stuck for about 3 minutes INFRONT OF ONE OF THE DEMENTORS
Will the giant spider creep someone scared of spiders out?
And I liked the video lmao 😂

Are the lights on, though?
Happened to me to
it’s crazy how many dementors are actually in the scene. so sad that turned most of them off
Are the lights on? Good thing that guy said it 450 times or else we couldn’t tell.
The dementor scene creeps me out
You’re lucky you got lights on I got in the dark and stuck
So cool
How many times does he have to tell us that the lights are on?
That happened too us today and it lasted 1hr and 45min
We also had to sit in the same position for that long
Just saw a video of this same exact ride experience and it was the kid who was screaming “the lights are on!” Most annoying 3 mins
guys i think the lights are on

I’d be too afraid to have my phone out on this ride, it knocks you around so much lol
Ummm...could somebody tell me if the "Lights are on"?
It looks scary with the lights on

I went on the ride and one time we got stuck upside down... the lights didn’t turn on though

The lights are on dude in the background
Are the lights on? Sorry, it’s hard to tell.
OMG!! were you freaking out? you said you got stuck,
I got stuck to
I was scared when the ride stopped for a while i went on it a while ago but it does that :/
Scream the whole entire time
I rode this in Orlando ten years ago. I’m never riding it again because it made me want to puke.
Thank you for the video🥰💕
