I wonder how many people were originally involved in making this piece. The threaded legs were turned on an expensive lathe. The intricate carving and inlay work would have required at least two people, unless it was originally a one-off custom piece. Then there are the people who cut & turned the shelves & legs, sanded and then finished everything. And here you are, one man, doing it all. And then saying "sorry I couldn't do it like the original." Ha! Who could ask for a better restoration? Happy New Year!
