un pezzo del film "les triplettes de Belleville" in cui Glenn Gould esegue il Preludio No. 2 in Do minore, dal Clavicembalo ben temperato, Libro 1, di Bach.
It really is an amazing piece c: and it's an honor to be able to speak out to the animator that worked on it! My teacher showed us this film the other day and truly cannot stop going back to it. I'm an aspiring cartoonist, this character really stuck out to me. Nice job!!
I've seen this movie so many times and I only just noticed that Glenn Gould is HUMMING in the clip! Just like he did in real life! Well played, Sylvain Chomet. Your details are perfect.
@roger marques yeah lol I guess I was really immersed in the originality of the character animation + the fact that Benoît Charest so carefully scored this movie. Most confusing is the fact that "Bach à la jazz" is a track on the OST, which I've owned since 2004. No need to be rude my guy
@RoughhouseAnimation Wow, awesome! Good job, you got his mannerisms down perfectly. I also like that you can clearly hear him humming-so props to the sound design people as well.
The best animated film I have ever seen and I can't get the soundtrack out of my mind. The Cmin prelude changes lives and reappears through the film.
I recommend metropolis 2001 as a proper contender.

They even put him in his signature lower seat
@@jrk1666That’s His Seat like Sheldon Cooper has His Spot On Couch 😂

one of the best scenes in this great film!
love how the studio is almost equal to the real one of columbia's records (where Gould recorded everything).
Wonderful. I'd have thought grandma would have hummed along..
thanks a lot: c'est magnifique, superbe, un chef d'oeuvre!!!
I saw this scene and started playing this piece purely because of this movie
quel grand film animé. j'aime les personages ^^
this is the original theme, then you can listen to jazz-version during the whole movie.
Watch it all, and enjoy : )
@mozgreen Actually, I hear it! I heard it for the first time while watching it just now. He's humming, very quietly.
Apre il cuore ❤
Non ho parole
@jsjassem
You're right - it is Glenn Gould!
Quasi commovente l'amore della nonna! Presque émouvant l'amour de la grande-mère!
I love this perlude 2... So pretty
great movie
perché "bach à la jazz"? sono sicuro che gould le giudicava un'interpretazione perfetta, rispettosa del testo originale e per nulla jazzistica
Thanks for the info
I found the piece of piano
Amazing clip. Anyone know who performs the jazz version on the soundtrack?
The Jazz Bach looks like the biker who wins the race.
the jazz bach is in the restaurant scene... it would be cool if that was added in the video
🖤
The music is preludium #2, of the well tempered harpsichord, book 1.
Imgonnacry! Wonderful
@ireneC16
no. i'm not going to type it in to google for you.
Basadooooo
@donavon could you please send me a link..? thank you very very much!
That's G. Gould playing
@hnrksl this is that movie, :)
@mozgreen It is there, listen closely ;)
Please tell me the song
Lil kid looks like young gru from despicable me
@donavon ok
that's reasonable... Then... ok! ^_^
It sounds like G minor bach to me 😐
this seems interesting but kinda depressing...
J’aime beaucoup ce film. Sauf SHAUN LE MOUTON, aucun film ou les œuvres de Jacques Tati et M. Bean avait la mode de ça.
