@@willowbeean3882 man, I'm on same page with you...promising manufacturers like Volvo and Nissan should stay longer in V8 as their popularity increasing in Asia and U.S. fan base.
I think biggest success story in Nissan's recent history is Simona. It shows women, in a male dominant arena, that they can be competitive in the main game, when they are with the right team of people.
Intresting to know is the V8 in the Altima was from the GTR GT1 but reduced the capacity from 5.6 to 5 litres with a 7500 rpm rev limit and 10:1 compression ratio
So back to just Holden and Ford, oh wait when Holden close will it be the Ford Supercars Championship? I hope you're business model is adapting quickly otherwise it's gonna get boring real quick.
That's why I hate when people say "What about 888's domination?" or "Car of the Future ruined Supercars". 888 never had the domination in a season like Team Penske did. Yes they would win the championship in the end but never totally dominate a season. And Car of the Future I believe actually made the racing more competitive and better until the arrival of the ZB and Mustang where both cars were totally over engineered.
Liam Playle that’s very true I mean like take 2014 for example then didn’t have the car to win races at the start of the year but they worked hard to get back and take control
@@liamplayle495 Don't forget that Triple8 shat the bed at the start of the year and could barely get out of the mid field half of the time, Scott is also one of the most talented drivers to ever race in the series as well.
How was 2014 Bathurst not there?! 2019 PI was and it 2014 Bathurst?! Rightio then... Oh. I almost forgot the 2016 Bathurst Shootout. That should be there as well
GreendragonDMX It still would have been third in that circumstance. Which is a brilliant result given that the car was underneath the Turn 2 tyres twice in that race!
Watching from the UK the biggest negative about V8 Supercars is the lack of other manufacturers cars competing, I'm not sure whether that's by design or by fortune, it does seem strange that in all the years there have been so few options, so it must be more by design, which is a shame really.
Allan McDigger most don't participate because of the fairly small world fanbase. This series may have been around for as long as NASCAR, but Australia is still a very small world market.
The problem with Australian Touring Cars is that since the 1960s when the first championship started, fans have only been loyal to 2 manufacturers, GM Holden or Ford
@Arden Sloan found a sook, too lenient on team penske, sooooo checking the car more then any other supercar is history, a total of 5 aero changes AGAINST the mustang and improving the commodore a total of 3 times and the Nissan atleast once was too lenient? or are you gunna whinge about Bathurst still? where they were penalised the maxmium penalty they could get under FIA rules that governs F1 and every other motorsport category in the world...not supercars...FIA because supercars had NO perfect definition and penalty for the "issue" that had been done by other teams before with absolutley no reprecussions
@@AdamTheMan1993 So, why do the Aussies buy into this fake racing series? After all, Americans have come to their senses and are abandoning their NASCAR series.

Nissan will be missed.
Interested to see how Heimgartner will go in a Mustang.
I'm gonna miss Simona, she's a real talent
She’s gonna tear through the field in Formula E
She’s a test driver, she can’t do races yet.
She had a lot of potential shame she didn’t have the car to help her
She shouldve been given a seat at better teams
Hopefully she will get into the w series or something mainstream again soon
Those cars sound badass!

If only Nissan were smart enough to chuck in the V8 they used for the Nissan GT-R for the GT1 instead of taking one straight from the Patrol...

Flexy14 They are gonna put the Camaro, if they r allowed
Gen3 will be 2 door coupe. So Mustang vs Camaro then. So sad that the sedans are gone tho.
Strange not to see 2nd place at Bathurst 2014
