Hi, I was born in the Philippines to an American father. I have a CRBA, issued to me when I was 5. I've been living in the US for the past 18 years. Firstly, am I considered a natural born citizen (like Sen Ted Cruz)? And secondly, am I automatically a Dual Citizen? And if not how do I apply for a Philippine passport. Thank you for your time.

If you were born in the Philippines, you should have automatic dual citizenship since you have a Philippines birth certificate

Things I don't understand. In order to let the US embassy know of our daughter's birth...they say to let them know as soon as possible. Only a PSA birth cert is acceptable. However, PSA says it takes at least 6 months from the time the birth has been transmitted from the Local Civil Registrar to the PSA. (she was born 2 Dec 2022.). The only link I can find for the CRBA application appointment is in Cebu, and according to their website scheduling, nothing is available until 2024 at the earliest. My goodness...how many babies were actually born to American citizens??

She gave birth before I took my oath ceremony in this case can I apply for my child to get CRBA ? Another question is that I petition for my wife when I was green card holder if my daughter is not eligible for CRBA and I fill up another form I 130 for her that is not going to delayed her interview date . She is just 4 months her mother cannot live her back home . Please can you advise me ?

Hi, I submitted a CRBA application for my newborn baby. I didn't fill the physical section properly. I do have all my physical address proof for past 5 yrs. @@VisaHarmony Thanks for your reply. I did follow the instructions from the US embassy. They asked me for travel entry and exist report from FOIA. I submitted requests to get the reports, it took almost 30 days and FOIA don't have the records and they told me to get the records from Customs and Border Protection (CBP). I checked CBP and reached out, but didn't hear anything from them yet. I am running out of time and need to go back to the USA and I am trying to take both my wife and baby with me. I feel like making a mistake on physical address is what caused the issue. My question is, can I file a new application where I fill the correct physical information even though I still have one open already? Or is it better to hire a lawyer?

When she got her citizenship and stay 3 and half years in USA. Than she came to parents country in Bangladesh on 2017. When Covid19 had came she can't back to USA. On 2021 lastly she back to USA & applied the i130 petition for me. The case is under process. I live in middle east country in KSA and work here. My wife again back from USA after 6 month later when she had gone 2nd time to USA. In KSA we both stay together about 5 months & my wife had pragnant. But in USA & KSA we have no relatives. So we both decided she will back to her parents Country of Bangladesh and baby will birth here. Because she needs proper take care. Now she is 7 months pregnant. Hello Ms Kath! Thank you for this informative video. I arrived in the US August 2022 under Spousal visa and I'm greencard holder as well. I'm pregnant right now and baby was conceived here in the US. Planning to go back to the Philppines to give birth and will file CRBA and US Passport for the baby. Hubby spent years in the US and also we lived in Mexico during the process our spousal visa while waiting. I don't want to stay longer than 6 months in the Philippines because I will be filing for a long-term disability with my company. Do you know its possible to file CRBA and US passport for my baby easily? Thank you more power!!

He needed to study here so he wasn’t able to complete 5 years. He stayed in US for 4 years 10 months and 20 days. Do you know if there is a chance that my son will be approved?
