      Right? The booklet gives so little instruction about it l, and a warning to do it carefully to avoid leaks. 😱 I was so freaked out that I was going to accidentally break printer and cause it to leak forever. I’m so thankful this video was so quick and made it so easy, & less scary.

      @@BestPrinters in ur roundup 2023, u gave hp low scores. did you account for the newer hp smart tank models like this one where they now have easily removable/accessible ink headers?
      how does this compare to say the Epson models? I watched your other videos on the process of using the cleaning kits for Epson, looks easy enough. But seems like HP went further and made that much easier. But what i am wary of is how much does replacing them cost?
      Would be interesting to see a future video discussing these sorts of things. The comparison for ease of maintenance between the brands e.g. epson, canon, hp (possibly more) for ink tank printer types for categories such as waste maintenance, header unclogging and other possible cost of ownership.

    Thank you so much! Both the printed instructions and the digital user manual that this printer came with are almost worthless. HP needs to hire competent writers and illustrators with decent communication skills. It's really frustrating that such a large corporation can't write a good instruction manual.

    Incase someone also has a silly issue like me installing these printheads, you have to push it quite firmly until theres a hard click. Visually, just follow how it looks like in this video when its installed, the front face surface of the printhead will align with the white parts on its side.
    When installing stuff like electronics I'm always afraid I'd push too hard the wrong way and break something. Besides the guiding rail only rough guides alone the direction, but it doesn't have those grooves like a tray in your fridge that also align its upright position. Which was why I didn't dare to push it too hard, because it seem to tilt, and you can hear parts clicking when you push it lightly, that isn't the actual click of the latching mechanism. I tried it multiple times, keep getting this E3 error message, and even though they seem to be firm in place when I press the blue latch down, when I started printing and it shows error, I opened up the cover and the printhead keeps sliding out, until I tried aligning it upright and really push it, it just feels like its fragile when you push it. But really if you just push it hard enough it would align itself.

    Hey people, just wanted to add something. If your carriage doesn’t move from the left, there’s a good chance one of your inks didn’t get filled. The bottles are finicky and I thought I had the black filled (it wasn’t). Once it filled, carriage moved where it should!

  • @mohamadjavith8629

    That orange stuff has important use. First you want to fill ink the tanks and then by turning the orange colour knob, ink will be filled in the tube. It will suck ink from tank and fills the tube. So printheads will be filled with ink in short duration

    • @BestPrinters

      The printhead is what will be filled with ink, the orange piece is junk, simply a placeholder.

    does epson ink tank printers have removable printheads??? which one is better fixed printheads or removable/replaceable printheads like the hp?? also which has more longevity hp or epson inktank printers??/ thanks

    • @BestPrinters
      @BestPrinters  4 месяца назад

      That's a great question. I would say it's a good thing to have a removable print head because it can be replaced. Whereas with the Epson print ahead, it is a fixed printhead. Although you can remove the cartridges connected to tubing on the Epson.

    • @creatorvoss

      @@BestPrinters thanks, i asked this because of the clogging issues with the inktank printers. epson has this sponge at the back of the printers to absorb the excess ink and hp doesnt. i have seen people review that once this sponge gets filled the epson printers stop working. i dont know how true is that. im inthe middle of taking a decision between epson and hp inktank printer and im very confused. for my personal use and so might not be using that frequently as commercial use so clogging of the ink pipe from the ink reservoir to the printheads is bound to happen and if this happens, how will the printer work especially with epson as they have a fixed printheads. i dont even know if printheads needs cleaning or not or they can run a long life without maintenence. i dont wanna put an amount of money and which wont even last a year or two. lasers are costly and colour laser printers are evn more costly. so inktank is the only choice i have left with as also i need good colour printing but this clogging issue and then with the epson the sponge technology which isnt even removable or replaceable is making things more confusing. also how is hp removing the excess ink. where are they draining their ink??? any idea how their tech works?? also do i need to subs to get the refill ink or can i buy independently . i heard hp had this issue in the past. i ean whats going on with the printer brands. why make things so complicated. thanks

    I have owned my HP smart tank 5000 for a few months and all is working fine. Noticed that when I do open my front printer door that my print head carriage does not come back to the center position in order to access ever having to replace the printheads. When door opens the yellow attention light comes on but not blinking I guess noting that printheads are ok. Is this normal for carriage not to come to center position unless there is an issue with the printheads? Spent 1.5 hours on HP live chat and they just want to send me a new printer under warranty. Don’t really want to go through a new set up and return mine if my existing printer is not malfunctioning.

      @@BestPrinters Thank you, Sir. With lots more wasted time of more than a half hour the next night, and careful study of the TINY diagram in the instruction pamphlet, I finally figured out that the nipple and the exposed metal circuit would only go in one (not intuitive) orientation and I finally got them by trying to match that direction. Very poor engineering to do something like this. The major angles and plastic shapes COULD have been used to make it an obvious fit.
