Smart can also be setting your phone not to ring between x and y hours. You know, if someone dies, I don't want to be informed at 3 am in the morning. I can deal with mourning or any urgency later when I get up :P // Depends on your job of course, by I am just a jobless gamer under COVID curfew, so.
It's not an RPG really, as much as it is a mission based sneaking game. It's cheap though. But i'll still wait for a sale. As I don't see much replayability once you finish the "missions".

I think more games should let you hover over key words to get a little bit explaining about it other wise you can dump too much on players trying to explain everything. So the people who want to know can read the dump or people who want the cliff notes can just keep reading the normal text. It's a win win I like to think

I'm a long time Shadowrun player since the first rulebook was released all the way up until just before 5th edition came out.
All your references were spot on and brought back so many wonderful fun and funny memories with my gaming crew.
I remember the novels, bug city, harlequin and the two campaign books, dunkelzhan for president, renraku arcology shutdown, and many more.
I recently gave away all my SR books to someone that can enjoy them with their group.
I love the latest cyberpunk game a lot (I can work around the bugs) since it brought to life immersion the feel and thrill of being a shadowrunner/edgerunner, only missing the team based dynamics and fun.
So thank you for being a fellow old school gamer doing what you do.
Funniest moment in SR, a dragon fumbled its breath attack roll on our team and accidently inhaled its own flame and choked on it.

See, what we really need is a cyberpunk arpg. Like Diablo, topdown-isometric. A classical arpg, only it's not yet another fantasy setting. Wolcen kinda dabbles in it a bit, but I want a full-on cyberpunk-themed arpg dammit!
The words 'Bishop', 'defence contractor' or 'cybernetically enhanced' appearing individually in any dystopian future sentence would be worrying enough, all three appearing in the same sentence? What could possibly go wrong? The Mayor should give this opportunity a solid pass... .

1:40 This reminds me that I've been wondering if it's time for a population shift (is that the correct term for this?) in our (well, my country's larger) cities. As in, is it time for the rich people to move out of the inner cities into the rural areas? I mean with the current working from home trend that's currently on-going I'm pretty sure most people with enough money would want to move out of their apartments and closer to the forests and with larger gardens. And as we have mostly decent internet here. I mean who cares about 30-90 minutes of extra driving/shuttle-time if you only have to do it once a week/fortnight?

I don't like most Cyberpunk plotlines, I wish they would have something really deep like Counterpart series. That was such a huge surprise. Anonymous was great too and even the simple plot of Upgrade was great. But most dealing with corporations and stealing data are just bland and uninteresting.

This looks like a good game. The art style reminds me very much of the game Halfway (2014).
The AI is really, really bad. I didn't see any sort of challenging situation or a need for any sort of tactics. Seems more like a semi-interactive story on rails than an actual game.
Also no alarms? And the player is OP from the start with one-hit kills? No AI awareness of noises? So just a bunch of deaf guards with the situational awareness of a cactus? Is there any reason to not perma-sneak? Sneaking doesn't seem to slow you down at all, so why even have the two modes?
Honestly it looks shallow and boring.
