Hope you guys enjoy! Like I said in the video some of these ideas are mine and some are theories I found online so some of these may contradict each other. This video is meant more so to start a discussion rather than to say one theory is more right than another. Sincere apologies for the Kaede section being so underwhelming, I really couldn’t think of any detailed or decent theories for it.

My theory is that Kaede dies. We still haven't used the "MC dies" trope, and add in OmegaValwin's theory, it's possible. She could be killed by a student but I think it would have greater impact if she killed someone for reasons justifiable in the real world (ie: self-defence) and was executed by Monokuma. Either that or it was an accident and she didn't know about her killing someone. Then, after that Kiibo becomes the new protag. He has the ahoge and there's a screenshot of him taking the place of where Kaede's face was.

I have a theory (kinda spoiler free) about ouma's constant lying and his act to make people dislike him.I think it is possible that he is leading everyone but not in the position of a leader,but just steering them away from him into the direction he wants.If he really is the ultimate leader I would assume that his leading skills are good and he might know many ways to lead people.He might've chose to lead this way so he won't be in the spotlight and will not be targeted in the killing game. If you are the mastermind of a killing game and one of the participants managed to make everyone work together you might try to get rid of that participant so the killing would happen.
my theory in relation to the first one: I believe that Kaede is ACTUALLY the red herring. Naegi was an ultimate lucky student, and Hajime did not remember his talent. to me, I'm used to the pattern that the character you play as is a little different than the other ultimates. also, an ultimate pianist seems more like a victim than a helpful character in trials and/or investigations. it seems like Kaede may end up being a victim herself, or even the mastermind perhaps, and the game will switch to someone like Amami, or even Saihara's perspective (since he's shown as an important character as well.) it would also be a classic Danganronpa twist that we wouldn't see coming.
I really like the theory of the 16 students being actual inmates; it also fits with things the characters have stated during the demo. Kaito, for instance, got into Astronaut School through cheating on the exams with a friend, but got to stay anyways because the hiher-ups liked his personality. Ryouma, though being a tennis player, is rumored to have killed an entire mafia with just a tennis ball out of metal and a racket. You could go further and imagine Kirumi poisoning someone's food, Tenko brutally assualting someone despite her talent being an Aikido master which emphasizes self-defense and being passive above anything else, Maki having mistreated one of the children she was taking care of... I could go on, but the point is... Maybe the mastermind is someone who wanted those people who abused their actual Ultimate talent to face the same injustice (maybe Amami or Shuuichi), or someone completely unrelated to them, maybe the Government itself, using those delinquents for a social experiment.

Theory: -Kaede is mastermind and she just changed her memories to to think she wasn't. -all the contestants are descendants of survivors of the previous games. Kaito Momota is a descendent of Naegi and Kirigiri
I really enjoyed the theories. And actually, as a theory of my own, I noticed something in the Amami screenshots when watching. Why would it say "ON AIR" in the top right corner? In Danganronpa 2 it had levels like a game and it turned out to be a sort of VR game. Maybe the next Killing Game is taking place on a TV show or is being broadcasted like in Danganronpa 1 to induce despair or something. Its a bit of a stretch for a theory
⚠️ kinda spoiler-y for danganronpa 2 so yeah ⚠️ My theory for the protagonist (forgot her name whoops not good with names^^') is that she is convicted of a murder of she did and didn't do at the same time... for example how chiaki was convicted of murder IS danganronpa 2 but didn't know she was doing the crime. Idk I feel like that's going to happen because her personality seems too innocent to kill someone but idk plot twist?? I'm going only with the screen shot of her on the "verdict wheel" this is my opinion so Jude it however you want I may get this wrong but I can't wait for the game to come in the west and all the new characters

This is just a small theory on rantarou, but in his bio it said he seems to be able to interrogate monokuma and has a grip on what's going on. Maybe his been in killing games before, and knows the procedure. If that was correct he could be the mastermind, and be playing two different personalities at once, kinda like junko and mukuro, but with one person. He may also if his been in previous killing games be lying about not knowing his talent, and if he was controlling monokuma, monokuma could also lie about his talent. He could also have a grip on the situation because he may have previously been in contact with a survivor of previous killing games or knows about them. But then there's the problem about having his memory wiped. If he was in previous killing games (meaning there has been more then one, but the others don't know about it only he does(another theory)) and was a survivor, then maybe he gets privileges for winning, and gets to keep his memories for this killing game. Then he could manipulate the others and warp the situation to his needs.

Here's my theory about Amami, I'm thinking the reason he doesn't remember his memory is because someone else thinks that his real talent is theirs, and that the other person is actually either a normal student or the mastermind. And who I think is holding his talent, I'm cross between Kaede, Ouma and Shuichi.
Spoilers, Haven’t watched the video yet but Rantaro is the ultimate Survivor. (Ironic) that’s his talent because he was in Dangonrompa V2 and sacrificed himself to save everyone, his punishment was to participate in another game. In V2 he was The Ultimate Explorer
This is late but I actually thought Amami was like the ultimate mind reader or something. I mean, it would make sense why he wouldn't let other knows about his talent (i thought he was faking it when he said he forgot) and why he knows something others do not. If that was true, then it'll be a greater plot twist at trials.
Alright, theory time. Note: I *have* seen spoilers but I wrote these theories down *before* the game came out, so these weren't influenced by spoilers and do not contain any, only speculation. They've been sitting in my tumblr drafts for six months and I figured now was as good a time as any to share them. Theory #1- Chapter Three will not be a double murder Every idea for who lives and dies I’ve seen has assumed Chapter Three will be a double murder again. So, the obvious way to surprise players would be to make it look like it will be, and then only have a single corpse show up. There probably will be some double murder chapter, but I’m guessing it will come later or possibly earlier. Theory #2- Either Gonta, Hoshi, or Yumeno will be a survivor As dictated by the Danganronpa Formula ™, the big, kind character (Sakura and Nekomaru), the cartoony-looking character (Hifumi and Teruteru), and the adorable, small character (Chihiro (?) and Hiyoko) have always died, so it stands to reason that since we expect these characters to die from the formula, at least one will be a survivor.
i liked how before the game started, i thought rantaro was gonna be the obnoxious well-known student interfering with kaede's investigations lol. i never knew why but i thought the creators were gonna create a new perspective that is both hilarious and indifferent from the other games.
honestly, the Oma theory was very interesting. It'd tie into the whole 'memories were fake' deal and if Amami didn't die then maybe a whole new plotline wouldve been expanded on. Now I kinda wish the theory WAS true lol
I think that the platforms can change place during class trials, e.g. the suspect moving into the middle (which would be awesome), which means the open space next to Kaede doesn't necessarily mean something.
my original theory was that the dr2 characters got thier memories replaced and that A.I. chiaki was kaede The basis for the theory was hajime was saihara chiaki was akamatsu nagito was ouma I thought this because I saw the robot from danganronpa 3 and thought bring back chiaki. To add I thought kazuichi made kibo Sonia was tsumugi (because her country centers around anime and films.) Ibuki was iruma I can see arguments against this such as who is tennis man? Who is maid? Where did mikan go? Why? All i can say is this was based on kaede, saihara, and ouma

My theory Kokichi was in a previous killing game along with Rantaro I think this because kokichi wanted to end the killing game in the current one what if they erased some of his memory but kept the memory of him knowing about the killing game? Didn’t he point out hints kind of but said he was just talking to himself. I personally think that kokichi ouma was friends with rantaro in the first killing game. Theory: I think Saihara will be the first to die because anyone with common sense would kill the the only person who has experience in dealing with murder cases

As far as your amami theory goes, maybe you're right on both accounts. He could be a super important character, but also be the first victim. I mean, it would t be the first time an important character dies early on (mukuro pretending to be junko) and we learn more about them after they're dead. Also, with his thorough interrogation of monokuma, maybe he's heard about the previous killing games and has more of an idea of what to expect. A member of future foundation perhaps?
I'd love to see a Kanon Nakajima character analysis, the mastermind theory on her was one of my favourite videos of yours and I'd love to here more of your thoughts on her as a character, despite her irrelevance in the main timeline of Hope's Peak.
My own guess for the Kaeda helmet screen might be one of two possibilities. One, there is a case that takes place in virtual space (similar to how the 2nd trial of dr2 happened, you needed to "play" through a game/scenario to understand the motive). Two, that it may be possible to miss clues/truth bullets while investigating, and that helmet is used during the trial to "recreate" the investigation phase for Kaeda to find the clue. To me, the second idea seems a little unlikely because it would break the illusion of fairness the students have in the trial, while we the players know we wolnt be able to get to the trial till we have all the evidence we need.
Spoilers? For sdr2, dr3, drv3 Weird crack theory: The entirety of v3 was a simulation to try and bring back Chiaki's conciousness back using the children from the survivors of previous danganronpa killing games. The reason Rantaro 'survived' the previous killing game was really a planted memory of his 'mother' (Chiaki), that's why he needed to win. The 12 lost sister were previous simulated 'daughters' of Chiaki that failed to survive the killing game. A dumb connection but Chiaki and Rantaro have really similar last names, only one letter difference. I know sdr2's plot twist was that it was a simulation, but I think it would be interesting. It's a crackhead fan theory, but idk, some fun if anything

I would love to see a Chiaki Character Analysis. I would like to see you're opinion on Chiaki and her similarities to Makoto, also that she reflects Munakata's view on how Makoto's hope can be abused. Essentially, she became that person who represented hope, only to be used by someone else to create despair. I would really enjoy seeing you go over a lot of these little things and really analyse both her A.I counterpart and her real life self.
I have more of a thought then a theory and that is, that Shuichi Saihara is the grandchild of Naegi and kirigiri or he is a relative of kirigiri, though I'm leaning towards him being the former because of the timeline in the game. I thought of this while I was watching the video and I also based it on the amount of the game I saw, which isnt a lot so I can be completely wrong in what Im saying, but here is why I think this way, the biggest hint is his talent. other the komaeda and naegi who share the tilte of ultimate lucky student. there hasnt been any other students who share the same talent. plus both their talents even though are the same, they work very differently from one another. yes junko and izuru are both called ultimate despair. Junko was actually more the ultimate then izuru was based on how much she embraced and craved it, not just on everyone but also on herself. where as izuru, simply wanted to confirm for himself which was worth more his time, despair or hope. he didnt really share a passion for either. but shuichi pretty reacts and deduce the crime scenes very similarly to kirigiri, yet his personality reminds me a lot of naegi. Im someone is going to tell me how wrong I am for thinking this way. but, I still think it's a nice theory to have, so I invite anyone to add to this if they want.^^
The criminal theory is amazing actually! I believed it hardcore before the game came out due to how many details that were out of the characters at the time, like what Hoshi did for example.

So I have a theory over V3 and it's that A) that because it's and "inmates" academy they have all possibly committed a crime and that there all prisoners that were wrapped into this. the reason I think this is because they all have possible traits of dangerous intentions/people B) I also belive that they are all lying about there own specific talents like how I said that they were in jail for crimes I fell like there talents are crime based those are the only theories I have currently- thanks for all the amazing content and videos I hope these give you some ideas for theories in the future

I'm pretty sure this isn't a spoiler, but I began to appreciate the ending of Danganronpa V3 even though I was initially disappointed with it just like how a lot of the Danganronpa community who played the Japanese version was.
I think the Kuma's in v3 is a clones of the kids AKA warriors of hope masuru daimon ->red Kuma Monaca -> green Kuma. jataro kamuri -> brown. Naga shingetsu -> blue. kotoko utsugi -> pink
I watched the whole game translated and it's neat to see these sort of theories still. I'm sure people will enjoy the game even if some might have to wait quite some to play it. I definitely got surprised quite some times.
So one thing you missed on the the first Kaede picture is that Rantaro's sprite is a different color than every other sprite on the board. (Almost a tangerine) Now this would make sense if he was the one accused but he was not. (Kaede was) Also something else interesting is that there's a pattern to the colors of the sprites. Kaede Ki-Bo Kirumi and Korekiyo Are all a darker shade of pink than the other lit up sprites. Ouma Saihara And Maki Which are like a baby pink. (Also a thing to note that trials are decided by majority) So speaking hypothetically if Rantaro is the one who is killed (that would explain the different colored sprite) then the vote would be a tie as Kaedes vote won't count as she's the one on trial. However if the blacked out sprites are the ones who voted guilty and are not actually dead.... Kaede is executed. "Shrugs" Just an idea. Or it could be that she gets let go because her vote did count and she had majority. (Assuming all the blacked out sprites are dead)

I have a theory about Chiaki I think she was an actual student who went to hopes peak academy, but she was killed by Junko in the animation for Danganronpa 3. And then the others became remnants of despair. When they entered the game world the other AI made by Future Foundation, was based off of a student, Chiaki. The others would obviously not remember her because they had lost their memories. And so the reason she couldn’t return was because she had actually died before the island

And actually, as a theory of my own, I noticed something in the Amami screenshots when watching. Why would it say "ON AIR" in the top right corner? In Danganronpa 2 it had levels like a game and it turned out to be a sort of VR game. Maybe the next Killing Game is taking place on a TV show or is being broadcasted like in Danganronpa 1 to induce despair or something. Its a bit of a stretch for a theory

Idk I feel like that's going to happen because her personality seems too innocent to kill someone but idk plot twist?? I'm going only with the screen shot of her on the "verdict wheel" this is my opinion so Jude it however you want I may get this wrong but I can't wait for the game to come in the west and all the new characters

This is just a small theory on rantarou, but in his bio it said he seems to be able to interrogate monokuma and has a grip on what's going on. Maybe his been in killing games before, and knows the procedure. If that was correct he could be the mastermind, and be playing two different personalities at once, kinda like junko and mukuro, but with one person. He may also if his been in previous killing games be lying about not knowing his talent, and if he was controlling monokuma, monokuma could also lie about his talent.
He could also have a grip on the situation because he may have previously been in contact with a survivor of previous killing games or knows about them. But then there's the problem about having his memory wiped. If he was in previous killing games (meaning there has been more then one, but the others don't know about it only he does(another theory)) and was a survivor, then maybe he gets privileges for winning, and gets to keep his memories for this killing game. Then he could manipulate the others and warp the situation to his needs.

Here's my theory about Amami, I'm thinking the reason he doesn't remember his memory is because someone else thinks that his real talent is theirs, and that the other person is actually either a normal student or the mastermind. And who I think is holding his talent, I'm cross between Kaede, Ouma and Shuichi.

This is late but I actually thought Amami was like the ultimate mind reader or something. I mean, it would make sense why he wouldn't let other knows about his talent (i thought he was faking it when he said he forgot) and why he knows something others do not. If that was true, then it'll be a greater plot twist at trials.
Alright, theory time. Note: I *have* seen spoilers but I wrote these theories down *before* the game came out, so these weren't influenced by spoilers and do not contain any, only speculation. They've been sitting in my tumblr drafts for six months and I figured now was as good a time as any to share them.
Theory #1- Chapter Three will not be a double murder
Every idea for who lives and dies I’ve seen has assumed Chapter Three will be a double murder again. So, the obvious way to surprise players would be to make it look like it will be, and then only have a single corpse show up. There probably will be some double murder chapter, but I’m guessing it will come later or possibly earlier.
Theory #2- Either Gonta, Hoshi, or Yumeno will be a survivor
As dictated by the Danganronpa Formula ™, the big, kind character (Sakura and Nekomaru), the cartoony-looking character (Hifumi and Teruteru), and the adorable, small character (Chihiro (?) and Hiyoko) have always died, so it stands to reason that since we expect these characters to die from the formula, at least one will be a survivor.
I've come to the conclusion that rantaro is just the super high school level hollister model

i liked how before the game started, i thought rantaro was gonna be the obnoxious well-known student interfering with kaede's investigations lol. i never knew why but i thought the creators were gonna create a new perspective that is both hilarious and indifferent from the other games.
honestly, the Oma theory was very interesting. It'd tie into the whole 'memories were fake' deal and if Amami didn't die then maybe a whole new plotline wouldve been expanded on. Now I kinda wish the theory WAS true lol
I think that the platforms can change place during class trials, e.g. the suspect moving into the middle (which would be awesome), which means the open space next to Kaede doesn't necessarily mean something.

As far as your amami theory goes, maybe you're right on both accounts. He could be a super important character, but also be the first victim. I mean, it would t be the first time an important character dies early on (mukuro pretending to be junko) and we learn more about them after they're dead. Also, with his thorough interrogation of monokuma, maybe he's heard about the previous killing games and has more of an idea of what to expect. A member of future foundation perhaps?

I'd love to see a Kanon Nakajima character analysis, the mastermind theory on her was one of my favourite videos of yours and I'd love to here more of your thoughts on her as a character, despite her irrelevance in the main timeline of Hope's Peak.
My own guess for the Kaeda helmet screen might be one of two possibilities. One, there is a case that takes place in virtual space (similar to how the 2nd trial of dr2 happened, you needed to "play" through a game/scenario to understand the motive). Two, that it may be possible to miss clues/truth bullets while investigating, and that helmet is used during the trial to "recreate" the investigation phase for Kaeda to find the clue. To me, the second idea seems a little unlikely because it would break the illusion of fairness the students have in the trial, while we the players know we wolnt be able to get to the trial till we have all the evidence we need.
I also really liked this video, would love to see more of the same style.

Weird crack theory:
The entirety of v3 was a simulation to try and bring back Chiaki's conciousness back using the children from the survivors of previous danganronpa killing games. The reason Rantaro 'survived' the previous killing game was really a planted memory of his 'mother' (Chiaki), that's why he needed to win. The 12 lost sister were previous simulated 'daughters' of Chiaki that failed to survive the killing game. A dumb connection but Chiaki and Rantaro have really similar last names, only one letter difference. I know sdr2's plot twist was that it was a simulation, but I think it would be interesting. It's a crackhead fan theory, but idk, some fun if anything

i feel like there will be a big plot twist because i've seen some images about someone.
I would love to see a Chiaki Character Analysis. I would like to see you're opinion on Chiaki and her similarities to Makoto, also that she reflects Munakata's view on how Makoto's hope can be abused.
Essentially, she became that person who represented hope, only to be used by someone else to create despair. I would really enjoy seeing you go over a lot of these little things and really analyse both her A.I counterpart and her real life self.

I have more of a thought then a theory and that is, that Shuichi Saihara is the grandchild of Naegi and kirigiri or he is a relative of kirigiri, though I'm leaning towards him being the former because of the timeline in the game. I thought of this while I was watching the video and I also based it on the amount of the game I saw, which isnt a lot so I can be completely wrong in what Im saying, but here is why I think this way, the biggest hint is his talent. other the komaeda and naegi who share the tilte of ultimate lucky student. there hasnt been any other students who share the same talent. plus both their talents even though are the same, they work very differently from one another. yes junko and izuru are both called ultimate despair. Junko was actually more the ultimate then izuru was based on how much she embraced and craved it, not just on everyone but also on herself. where as izuru, simply wanted to confirm for himself which was worth more his time, despair or hope. he didnt really share a passion for either. but shuichi pretty reacts and deduce the crime scenes very similarly to kirigiri, yet his personality reminds me a lot of naegi. Im someone is going to tell me how wrong I am for thinking this way. but, I still think it's a nice theory to have, so I invite anyone to add to this if they want.^^
The criminal theory is amazing actually! I believed it hardcore before the game came out due to how many details that were out of the characters at the time, like what Hoshi did for example.

So I have a theory over V3 and it's that A) that because it's and "inmates" academy they have all possibly committed a crime and that there all prisoners that were wrapped into this. the reason I think this is because they all have possible traits of dangerous intentions/people B) I also belive that they are all lying about there own specific talents like how I said that they were in jail for crimes I fell like there talents are crime based those are the only theories I have currently-

I'm pretty sure this isn't a spoiler, but I began to appreciate the ending of Danganronpa V3 even though I was initially disappointed with it just like how a lot of the Danganronpa community who played the Japanese version was.
I think the Kuma's in v3 is a clones of the kids AKA warriors of hope masuru daimon ->red Kuma Monaca -> green Kuma. jataro kamuri -> brown. Naga shingetsu -> blue. kotoko utsugi -> pink

I watched the whole game translated and it's neat to see these sort of theories still. I'm sure people will enjoy the game even if some might have to wait quite some to play it. I definitely got surprised quite some times.
So one thing you missed on the the first Kaede picture is that Rantaro's sprite is a different color than every other sprite on the board. (Almost a tangerine) Now this would make sense if he was the one accused but he was not. (Kaede was) Also something else interesting is that there's a pattern to the colors of the sprites.

(Also a thing to note that trials are decided by majority) So speaking hypothetically if Rantaro is the one who is killed (that would explain the different colored sprite) then the vote would be a tie as Kaedes vote won't count as she's the one on trial. However if the blacked out sprites are the ones who voted guilty and are not actually dead.... Kaede is executed. "Shrugs" Just an idea.
Or it could be that she gets let go because her vote did count and she had majority. (Assuming all the blacked out sprites are dead)
Honestly, I just assumed that Ouma is the kind of person who would wear a straitjacket (or something that kinda looks like it) because it'd freak people out.
I have a theory about Chiaki
I think she was an actual student who went to hopes peak academy, but she was killed by Junko in the animation for Danganronpa 3. And then the others became remnants of despair. When they entered the game world the other AI made by Future Foundation, was based off of a student, Chiaki. The others would obviously not remember her because they had lost their memories. And so the reason she couldn’t return was because she had actually died before the island
