Thank you for another great video. Just pulled the boat out of it shed to get it ready to go, Will probably go to Lake Mohave first until the weather worms up a little at Powel. I too got very slow and absorb the beauty that surrounds you, plus can't afford the fuel a 22 foot pontoon uses at top speed as well. Hope to see you there this year.
YESSSS! I’ve been wanting for the new video i watch all of them. i’m on bearly there in antelope point. i’ve always loved lake powell i’m so glad we feel the same. KEEP UP THE AMAZING CONTENT
Glad you like them! I will certainly keep on making more content. I have quite a bit of footage to go through. Now it's just a matter of finding the time.
...another great video... I hear we are getting 80 feet this year! From someone who's been here a long time and who works at the marinas. I was hoping for just 30-40 but 80 would be amazing (2023)
Rock Creek is the general area we camp, it's one up from Last Chance. Has less campsites but it's a nice place, we always give it a look see with the scout boat. Awesome
How I love Lake Powell. As a kid, my family was there nearly every weekend during the summers. I I remember in the 60’s when the lake was filling. We loved to camp in Warm Creek mostly but I can remember going to see Rainbow Bridge once. Once of America’s most beautiful places. Thanks for the nostalgia
Video turned out great! Last October I had the opportunity to take a scenic flight over Powell. Man, it was awesome. Wish I could check it out on the water but my life precludes doing so.
It can be rough in there for sure. I took my ski in there during a storm just to see what it was like. 6ft chop with 8ft rollers & more spray then one can imagine.
The problems are too numerous to list, but suffice to say she is leaning out. I have had the carb rebuilt, but I think the fuel pump is going out. Also the I/O clamp doesn't hold when I put the boat in reverse.
Great video. Curious on how much gas your boat takes and how much gas needed for a trip to rainbow bridge from waheap? Can rainbow bridge be seen on day trip from waheap? Thank you?
Fuel mileage on my vessel can be pretty good. I get around 6-9mpg at the speed I went in This video. But if I go fast my boat can get less than a mile per gallon.
I did see it but I forgot to label it... Here is a link to the clip where it appears. It is at the 10:03 mark. ruclips.net/video/9bwf5PGw6GA/видео.html
nobody does it like you Thor. But your videos make me nostalgic...I love them!
I like when I get the notifications for Thor and the VR Powell project!

That is definitely a good idea. Lots of nav hazards in there right now.

Maybe one day! I have a feeling LP will be here for a while 👍
We call the main channel - The Bathtub
I often call it Maytag Canyon myself
@@ExploreWithThor When we had a smaller boat it was a nightmare to pass if large boats were coming by not to mention being on a jetski
On the jet skis, we just go like "hell" to get the torture over sooner when traveling through the main chanel. It's quite the workout.

Great video Thor !
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for posting this video. Check out Steve & Laurie boat camping Lake powell
Great video. Can't wait to get there. Your video inspired me to order my oil so I can ready my boat for this year. Thanks for the work you you do.
What mechanical problems are you having with your motor? I would come help you repair it if it is something that I can

Yes, Rainbow Bridge can be seen on a day trip from Wahweap with a good speed boat and some extra fuel. Pack a lunch too!
Don’t try it without extra fuel
do you have Part 2??
Here's part 2

Nice work. I was hoping you would point out Camel Rock near Last Chance. Do you know which one it is?

BEEN TO POWELL OVER 50 TIMES, FROM ONE END TO THE OTHER. PROBABLY WON'T BE GOING BACK. LOST ALL MY BOATING PARTNERS.
Boating alone has it's perks!
I like going with a group but I do love going with the ol lady just the two of us
