5:10 my best explanation for the timeline problem would be that hero mode 2 takes place over a longer period of time then it seems. So maybe the release of the octo expansion actually marks when hero mode (and octo expansion) canonically end.
I just think hero mode was shorter. I mean u, do have to play around 80 levels that aren’t easy

Just a quick correction, sentient is when something can feel things like pain (most animals are sentient), sapient is when the animal is intelligent enough to be self aware and conscient of its existance (like humans)

It's stuff like this I love learning about Splatoon, although the big things are super interesting, it's the little details like these that really make the Splatoon lore feel more complete.

Ikkan, squid squad's bassist, was unhappy in the band because the lyric making process was too smooth and any arguments were quickly resolved. This is one of the things that led to the band breaking up. Now Ikkan is playing along side Warabi the Octoling in their new band Diss-Pair, where they argue much more.
Bottom Feeders' main vocalist, Tangle Bottom, didn't know how he could sing until very recently. Apparently, the seaweed his body is composed of rubs together to make his voice.

For Fact 50, there's that photo of the Octo Expansion crew with Callie and Marie infront of the subway entrance. So maybe Off the Hook are part of / aware of the NSS, otherwise it wouldn't make sense for Callie and Marie to be there without explanation.
You guys ever read the Splatoon manga? Agent 8’s official name (in the manga idk if it’s actually canon) is Hachi, and Agent 8 is a boy. He has the punk hairstyle. There’s also an Agent 7 named Nana, a female Octoling with the Tentacurl hairstyle. You guys should read it! If you haven’t already :)

The unused weapon could be an early design for the Jet Squelcher. It’s the same general idea, with a tube connecting the top and barrel of the gun to the separate motor on the bottom. The written description also matches up. Nintendo could have tried out many different machines to base the Squelchers on before landing on pressure washers.

I'm still playing octo expansion and they're never referred as agents 5 or 6. Actually, captain cuttlefish didn't know them at all. And agent 8 is only called this because it's easier then 10.008, which is what he's actually called

Hey I don't mean to be rude but do you remember where you got the information from that agent 8 is 14? Because I have never heard anyone say any of the agents have canonical ages plus 14 seems to young given how we know how Inklings age and Octolings likely age in a similar way
There was a Famitsu interview with one of the splatoon devs who said that 8 like the other inklings was 14

Yea it’s because octopus is translated from the Greek octopod and the plural is octopodes which translates back into English as octopuses. It would be octopi if the word was Latin but it’s Greek instead.
cuttlefish is still a cuttlefish. cuttles and squids are closely related so they evolved similarly. they have differences like different dhaped ears wich are present in callie and marie, and also cal and mar have special eye shapes

same for octolings, the main reason I'm a firm believer in captain cuttlefish, Callie and Marie are cuttlefish are their ears and also Callie and Maire both have different eyes (could be contacts since Pearl has them too) and extra bang tentacles exclusive to them

Does anyone more see the problem never mentioned with the timeline? If we Humans went extint in the 21st Century, as it is theorize by 2015 more or less, then why when making the maths everyone make the mistake of saying that Splatoon events happen around the year 12,000? 2,000 + 12,000 are 14,000! Every reference to the 12,000 years said something like "humans went extinct around 12,000 years ago" and if in the sunkn scrolls we see a human fossil with a WiiU, then the math shouldn't be that difficult.

I know I've already made a comment, but I'd just like to say that Nintendo doing a horrible job being consistent with Octo Canyon lore caused me to have an obsession with trying to analyze Callie's psychology and failing miserably.

These videos are good but you need to provide more evidence/sources for your lore pieces as some of them don’t really sound true. I’d recommend putting an image on screen that backs up your claims, though that would require a lot more editing so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So basically,there was a thing in 2020-2021 where ppl used manny from diaries of a whimpy kid as an anarchy simbol,it owuld be really cool if people who are anarchist and splatoon fans would start ACAJ (all cops are jellyfish) and use the term pig and jellyfish intercanbly?
