It's Joe Walsh. Now I'm not sure about this guitar, or how he set the amp. Walsh dialed the amp himself, I assume. I hear HUGE upper-mids and the treble-bleed circuit going overkill, but almost no low-end. Giving the benefit of the doubt, this a guy who's spent more time in recording studios than I've been alive. First thing any competent engineer tells you in the studio is "roll back the bass, we can't quite capture all that low end". Maybe he's just cutting out the middle man? Dunno. Yup, law suit pending....
@@bradlivey7867 plenty of people have gotten copyright claims on their own music, especially if they‘re also signed and thus a label has distribution rights.
PRS is probably big enough and has enough lawyers however to make this a non issue.
@@bradlivey7867 I don’t think he owns publishing.
Love Joe. The sound track of my youth.
There are so many grate guitar players Then there is Joe Walsh A cut way above the rest of every body, So glad he is still going like he is in his early years..
Joe sounds like he can't even speak, but what he says is absolutely spot on , and so is his playing....
I mean, the dude's a 73-year-old rock star. Cut him some slack, haha.
@@JordonBeal yeah but he's always sounded like that haha
Then his facial expressions would be considered wacky by any other.
They surreptitiously spiked his Ensure carton with an anabolic speedball ..allegedly...PRS execs didn’t think they could finish the commercial otherwise...allegedly
Drugs... lots of drugs..
Someone commented - rather humorously - on the need to speed up the playback when he's talking. Another said he must "save all his eloquence for his guitar playing". As if that's a bad thing. C'mon man...he's 73, still alive (to his own astonishment), and has enough cred and swag to warrant a new PRS - if not QUITE enough to pull off the leather/vinyl pants. Doesn't matter.
Dunno. I'll be interested to hear how this sounds in the hands of others. But please, there should be no doubt that this is one of the greatest guitarists of his generation, a beautiful player, a fascinating and humble interviewee. And he STILL rocks.
It seems likely that Joe can't accurately hear all the high end in that rig, as hearing naturally declines in one's 70s...and that's for normal people, rock stars that have played thousands of shows probably have significant hearing impairment...(I certainly do)
I'd go rite out and by one of those just because of Joe! What a gas!!
Love to hear the man talk guitars. I can say my 594 blows me away every time I pick it up. That neck!
So cool, Joe is super cool dude! Love Paul too! Those guitars are really awesome,! I have an SE and love it! I thank Paul on here every chance I get! Love to have this one but hey I could never afford it, Like seeing the demo and Joe play! He is a TRUE guitar master! Great video, thanks for posting this! Be blessed!
That dude endorsing everything.
Oh boy. After readin all this and listening , I’m getting one. Thank Joe.
One of my favorite players playing one of my favorite guitars! How sweet it is...
When Joe talks gear, I listen. Congratulations Joe on your gorgeous new PRS Axe. If I had the Lolli, I would get one ASAP.
Paul and the team achieves the excellence we all should strive for in life. The only guitar I’ve ever kept over all my years of playing is my PRS, and I will leave its side before it leaves my side.
Hi Joe !
You are a fantastic teacher !!!! I'd like to see you do a video on how you dial in such great tones with your amps, guitars , & pedals !!!
Rock on, Bob
One of the few times on video where Joe was spot on and did not have a drink 🥃 before the Video shoot and guitar demonstration. And his voice was clear and not slurred.
I was about to turn the video off 3 minutes in, but Joe wouldn’t let me. Great demo!
Joe has endorsed so many guitar companies, Carvin, Duesenberg, just to name two.
Now i want that guitar. Thanks joe
I’ve never had anyone’s drunk aunt try and sell me a guitar while sounding like she was playing through an AM radio before.
Nothing wrong with a good drunken aunt - as long as it isn't my own aunt
Yeah, but he speaks perfectly when he plays.
I listened to this one day and revisited it the next, in the hope I wasn't hearing correctly, but you are so correct. What's with the tone? AM radio exactly! I've been a big fan of Joe Walsh in years gone by and I love my PRS Studio, but this definitely sounds awefull, I'm sorry to say.
So did anyone else notice the PRS amp does not have anything plugged into it, but off to the right they have a SM8 on that tiny amp that looks like it has a 5 inch speaker? Looks like a Vox mini3 G2. They cost like $150.
@@georgeross7285Good spot. I did notice the little amp mic'd up and thought "surely they aren't using that". I didn't notice there wasn't anything plugged into the PRS though. So that will explain it. 😉👍
His eyes and hearing are as sharp as an Eagle's. Paul has done a great job making that man very happy indeed.
Dude is my HERO. The coolest Rockstar ever.
I love my 594. It is a perfect guitar.
Agree.
I never owned A PRS . Great Guitars. Alex Lifeson played PRS's in the 90's and earlier 2000's. Joe Walsh is One of my Guitar heroes. And Don Felder is my of my Guitar heroes as well.
Joe Walsh has way too much fun...... good to see that.
Wow just wow. PRS have always Been and always will be Gibsons and Fenders biggest Competition. I love Gibson les paul especially the new 59 they have made. My big complaint with les paul would be tuning issues,
Iv never played a vintage 59 Gibson les paul, but I most certainly take Joe Walsh knowledge on it. This PRS sounds amazing. I would really like to get my hands on one and rock out.
8:27 ... every dog in the neighbourhood just started howling. My eardrums did a little dance.
That guitar cuts like a blade. I can see why Joe would like it- it suits his style of playing, perfectly. That biting tone makes sure his solos and licks get heard above everything else, the dense mix of a live rock and roll band.
Top of the heap, it couldn't get much higher, great review.
Quite an endorsement I’d say. Paul is a genius.
So cool!!! The world needs more of this!
Joe reading the prompter: "I put my name on it" !,... "...what's my name?".... "Joe?" "Yeah,... Joe,... the Joe guitar" Joe is everything you want a Rockstar to be,... super talented even if they are completely blotto,... and if this is the sober version (which it is by the way),... he is more entertaining than ever! I just saw a recent show where he played the Bomber,... and I can tell you Joe was note and tone perfect! He is the real deal! His slide work is so clean,... even playing in 440! I have been a student of his slide work as well as Duane,... and the great Ry Cooder!
I never realized Joe was such a good salesman, if he wasn't a guitar virtuoso, he would definitely be tops in sales down at the Ford dealership. Love Joe.
That is indeed the brightest neck humbucker I have ever heard.
Joe just inspires you to pick up the guitar and play some!
The guitar setup MASTER ....... luthier at heart..
Wow this is huge congrats to all parties
I love you Joe! Thanks PRS!
I have a beautiful gold top 2023 McCarty 594 Single cut. 8.0lbs. Once I changed out the pickups, it was great. The 58/15 LTs just didn’t cut it for me.
I bought my first core PRS (Tremonti) a month ago... will NEVER reach for another brand of guitar. My next will be a 408 (obviously used) for all the tones I love.
