Thanks for this. This system is SO much better than the 19 year old Moose plow system I was using on my old 2001 ATV. I may add that you want to make sure the two hooks in the back of the frame do NOT move when the red lever is in the locked position. If they do your plow can fall off. If that happens just undo the lock nut and unscrew the red rod until the bottom of it makes contact with the frame. Then retighten the lock nut. Now those hooks won't move when in the locked position. This can happen if the plow frame wasn't assembled correctly.

If you haven't already purchased one of these don't! they are only good for a small paved driveway. I've had mine for two seasons and the plow is constantly detaching from the machine, the dog ears bend so had to reinforce them, the square tubes on the mount section both sheared off, have to replace the entire mount section now, the shear pins on the swivel arm shear on every little bump. Granted I plow a 1/4 mile dirt road but my Glacier 1 plow did it for 13 years without a repair. The Glacier Pro is a poor design and although looks beefy highly inferior to older model. If your going to make a plow for an ATV it should be able to do more than a paved driveway!

The Glacier Pro system is the best I’ve ever seen. Quick and easy on and off with no tools. I never had a problem in over 5 years plowing both paved areas and lots of gravel driveways. Something must be definitely wrong with your plow system.

Before hooking the winch. Lock the mount in place. I had the same issue and had to pry it off.

does anything (a frame etc) need to be assembled or bolted to the ATV before attaching the plow as in the video?

Nope. The attachment adapter frame that connects to your plow frame has two large hooks near the front that catch onto rods on the frame, as well as two boxy objects back at the rear (away from the blade) that will snap into rectangular openings in the frame itself, between and just behind the front suspension arms.
At 0:47 in the video, he's already got the larger hooks hooked onto the bars that are part of the frame (just under the winch). You can see when he operates the winch, the rear-most portion of the adapter frame pivots on those hooks/pins, and the boxy parts at the tail end move UPWARD and into their sockets. Note, you can't see the boxy bits themselves, but you can clearly see the frame "flop" upward.
Then when he engages the red locking bar 0:57, the boxy things at the back (now in the frame sockets) engage moving hooks that lock the plow mount into those sockets.
No additional mount plate is needed. All compatible Polaris ATVs have these integrated bars and sockets as part of their frame, right from the factory.

Whoever buy or bought this plow is a waste of money. I have one and the snow plow frame came off or detach the ATV main body when you hit a solid or crack concrete . I even called the Polaris and they couldn't give me any information for refund or replacement. I also, asked polaris to take this piece of crap snow plow off the market because people could get serious injuries.
