Bizarre game. Terrible decisions against both teams by the Umpires.
The drought is finally over! It may not have been our best performance, but we have overcome a nine year struggle. Best to be grateful than greedy. Adelaide gave us hell for four quarters but we managed to hold on and come away with the four points in the end. Very proud! 🔴⚪️⚫️

@Mitchell Wood Yeah was a shocking call, but 5 of the 7 crows goals were from free kicks in front of goal, 4 of which were disputed even by the commentators
@Mitchell Wood Crows only kicked 3-4 legit goals for the game. The others were shocking calls that should never have been frees. The tex non-call was the only one that should have went their way. Saints should have won by 6+ goals not 4

Im a saints supporter and even though the free kicks were 29-19 in Adelaides favour the umpires were bad both ways and when Adelaide looked good would always go against them

not sure if this is a valid response but Carlisle clearly touched the ball first
he probably couldn't tell definitively whose hand touched the ball, so rather than guess which hand it was he gave benefit of the doubt to it being play on. Sounds like a fair thing to do if you're not sure doesn't it?

That end of 3rd quarter free is completely and utterly wrong. It has always, ALWAYS, been ruled that if a mark is called play on due to touch off the boot, and the player thinks they've marked it, that it's a ball up. Prior? Irrelevant. Making an attempt? Also irrelevant. It is assumed that the player thought he marked it, and has not heard the umpire call play on, therefore it is a ball up because they did not know they needed to dispose of the ball. There are crowds at these games again, you can't claim the players can hear the umpires calls no matter how many times or how loud they yell play on. We've got years of precedence for this ruling, completely and utterly the wrong call.

It is a shame that a very exciting game was ruined by the terrible umpiring. Adelaide were robbed in this game, we were by far the greater team but these umpires were heavily favouring the Saints. Adelaide have been robbed, we dominated this game. That bold-headed flog umpire, Mathew Nichols should just quit umpiring at this point, what a disgrace he is!
Mmm, I watched the whole game and the umpires were favouring Adelaide, 27-18 seem fair, 2 Deliberate out of bounds calls and 2 holding the ball calls which should not of been called
