Those are some pretty strong trios, but i can't really get over the lack of 3 Lepers. 3 Lepers is a pretty strong foundation, and works well with most characters in the 4th slot, even when you'd usually want to add a Leper to that Trio to fully complete it and cover its few weakspots.
A non-DLC variant of the Jestal SB comp is Jestal Houndmaster Hellion. Solves the problems with lack of range, stuns, prot enemies and comes with a guard.
@@DanteCrowlley In this comp, you can use Vestal and/or Houndmaster and/or Hellion to stun. If not doing Hellion Stun, consider that HM's Blackjack is very powerful as a stun (+10% base chance) and reaches ranks 1-3. It's like having a rank-2 Occultist using Hands from the Abyss. edit: in addition, Cudgel Weight is an easy-to-find uncommon trinket for +25% stun chance at -1 SPD.
I never used Occultist much in my first couple playthroughs because, you guessed it, he healed for 0 and applied a bleed at Death's Door. Now I'm digging him more though.
I’ve grown fond of Highwayman, Grave Robber, and Hellion (often with Vestal making ‘Gun and Roses’). Ranks 3 and 4 die as quickly as you’d like, a well timed combo of Point Blank Shot and Bleed Out crushes rank 1, you have access to decent bleeds, and being surprised doesn’t mean anything because all three do great damage in the process of repositioning. It works great everywhere and sometimes feels like cheating.
Very smart of you as a video maker to leave the team up the entire time in upper left corner when the video isn't broken up in parts, helps alot for searching. Thanks
Antiquarian + MAA + Grave Robber. With guard me, retribution and shadow fade you force your enemies to attack into riposte. Ideally the 4th slot is another riposter.. also you can get huge dodge buffs with MAA camp skill and antiquarian buff.
If you want you can double up on the antiquarian for double invigorating vapours, that paired with bolster and dodge trinkets make your team very hard to hit. Bit of a low damage output though, so be wary. Still fun to try and gets you lots of money
One thing I've slept on greatly is how much I've been using Vestal as a crutch for bad gameplay. Great thing about MaA; he can guard, self-mark AND riposte, helping to drive damage onto him so a single-target healer can focus on him AND giving him plenty of opportunities to counter attack. Use Jestal to buff and reliably heal or PD+Occultist to gamble on big bursts of healing and mitigate the bleed, and fill the last slot with either Houndmaster or Arbalest to reliably hit the back; HM comes with some useful debuffs and a self-heal, while Arbalest has her own support moves as well as an anyone heal. Shirt Check Day 4: No Cam
I am a little shocked to see the "pumpkin spice latte" of team compositions given as a suggestion. I hope to someday advance my skills to the point where I don't bring Jestal everywhere, all the time, because they are my go to duo.
The Crusader is a Jestal but only takes one spot. Deals damage, heals stress, has mobility, heals. That's all you need.
Not even recommending a team with GR as core smh fake fan.
You use Occultist a lot. You love Occultist. You make a great case for Occultist. But... There's no dedicated "Occultist and You" video!! Please bring all your Occultist knowledge and tips into an "and You" video for the dude.
I don't think I have enough time with dd2 coming out :(
@@ShuffleFM Understood. Though some of us do not support the whole concept of game store exclusives, so it will be awhile before I see DD2. :-( I'll just have to rewatch all your videos and take notes when you talk about the Occultist. Not an unpleasant prospect. :-D
