I watch matchbox 20 live to learn real bass lines. Along with several artist. Better to play what bassist is really playing than to add too much fill. Been a pro bassist for over 30 years. Best in my area by far. Always been told I am so I can brag
@@Christopher-c6c1z thank you I actually just did this for a church gig I'm playing on Sunday. There still little parts I can't hear though. I just have trouble hearing the bass. Lot of Times I look for isolated bass of here lately... I just get a chord chart and I just add notes to the corresponding root like fourths and fifths thirds chromatic walkups or major or minor pentatonic notes according to the whatever corresponding root is playing and that little bit right there has been a game changer.
