Back in the 70's, you could stay overnite in some of the restored buildings- during Jan & Feb many history buffs would stay there and dress in period wear, my friend and fellow W&M student worked as an interpretor who would give tours to the buffs with ALL in period garb.
hudson mathias It's called a reenactment. Obviously people don't dress like that these days. They are trying to show you what life was like in colonial times.
