I love all these ideas! My family is new to Catholicism. My husband and I grew up Protestant. I had no idea where to start. Thank you for being so helpful and inspiring!
Hi! I'm Paola, I live in Milan and I'm Catholic.I found your RUclips channel "by accident"( nothing is for accident...:) ). I like very much listen to you, and I respect you a lot for having the courage to testify to your faith. Thanks! if you need anything from italy don't hesitate to ask. sisters in faith.
Regarding Christmas parties, I used to belong to a small parish that encouraged us to have them between Christmas and Epiphany, emphasizing that Christmas is a season, not a day.
Dear Heather, Though my husband and I have been Christians a long time, we are just now becoming Catholic. We are in RCIA now. You are such a blessing in helping me implement liturgical living and doing it in such fun and practical ways for the kids! I did not know anything about the liturgical calendar or the saints prior to this past summer! This is such a rich faith! I can't keep up with all the feast days and fun possibilities with those but I'm hoping to plant seeds so that our children will continue to build meaningful traditions when they grow up. Thank you for your guidance in this journey! Your website and videos have helped me so much(even with NFP as a fellow repeat c section mama!)God bless you and your beautiful family! love, your sister in Christ
I am on a fixed income and I'm a website designer. So, I create a Christmas web page instead of mailing Christmas cards. I also have all my recipes on a cookbook website. This allows me to view recipes on my phone when I'm at the store, so I can make sure I remember everything. Thanks for your book about St. Lucy. I'm always looking for gift ideas. I have 5 light bulbs above my kitchen table and I turn off all the bulbs but one on the first Sunday of Advent. The 5th one is lit on Christmas Eve. Finally, I thought manzanita branches would make a great Jesse tree or if the kids have Tinker toys they can build their own.
Thank you so much for your great advice. Really is helping me, because I've recently started in the Catholic faith after being protestant for many years. I've just started going to OCIA and use your rosary down load to pray the rosary as I had never prayed it before.
Thank you so much for this video! Over the last month or so, I have been watching DIY Christmas decorating videos … almost obsessively… and when I saw the title of this video, it clicked… THIS is what my spirit has been yearning to begin. Thank you!
Heather I love watching You I am Catholic. are amazing all You do I miss doing this all when my Son was little. He is 30 years old I wait for Grandchildren 1 day God bless and Be with you all In your Family. 🙏🏻✝️☮️📿🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂💕💐🌹💜💗♥️💙❤️
Always looking forward to this video you've been doing eveiy year. I get a lot of ideas for advent and gifts. Thank you for doing this. God bless you and your family 🙌🏽🙏🏽
Thank you so much! We are actually planing a posada, if you know what that is, for the kids choir, so the book that you are recommending in this video i think it'll work for us to prepare correctly
This was helpful! I didn’t grow up in a family they did much to celebrate advent. Im trying to incorporate more special traditions for my kiddo. Thanks for sharing your prep process and family traditions.
The 3rd week of advent is a great time to REJOICE have a all pink/rose christmas luxh or party . Wear t-shits that are pink and spel Joy to the world etc.😢
I thought that the feast of St. Nicholas was only celebrated this way in the Netherlands, Belgium and part of Germany. On November 16th St. Nicholas comes to the Netherlands and from that moment on children can put their shoe out, usually they put a carrot in it for St. Nicholas' horse and the next morning there is a present in it or some candy or fruit and on the evening of December 5th St. Nicholas and/or helper brings presents for the children. Sometimes they tap on the window or on the door and leave a bag with presents and candy and sometimes one of them comes in to give the presents to the children, if they have been very good.
Thank you Heather ❤️ Last year you mentioned you were going to use the Jesse Tree Devotional by Eric and Susan Sammons vs the red one by Dean Lambert Smith. We have been using the red one and like the questions/child section. Did you like the catholic one better?
These are good suggestions for a family, especially ones with children but not many for we older Catholics. We did like the idea of having a shower for Mary and will be bringing that idea to our own church. We do honor the tradition of the Advent wreath and special prayers but I’m feeling like something is missing. Any suggestions?
Starting November 11, Yahweh is about to pour out the Violet Flame of the Holy Spirit on earth to purify all souls, of all nations, languages, religions, cultures. Without purification there is no salvation.😊
Advent wreath is very common in Germany, nothing special catholic. Do you know the story behind it? It’s really interesting. Same for st Nikolaus. Everyone celebrate that, not only Catholics.

This is exciting i had no idea about advent. I went to my first catholic service yesterday

Last Advent, I used your suggestions from your website. I really liked the practice of reading a chapter of Luke each day of advent
Great idea!

Thank you, Heather. I'm getting ready now for Advent and Christmas. ♥
I'm excited to read that book.
Thanks for this video! I’m always behind when Advent and Christmas hits!
Good tips. My wife handles all that. I sent this video to her. I’m in charge of all the alcohol (wine, beer, spirits). ;)
Thank you so much!
We are actually planing a posada, if you know what that is, for the kids choir, so the book that you are recommending in this video i think it'll work for us to prepare correctly
You’ll love it!! I’m Mexican and posadas are a must in our Christmas celebrations

Thank you Heather ❤️

Can you post a list of things for Mother Mary's baby shower? I've forgotten some things moms need.
Where did you get Jesus on the cross? I keep seeing it behind you in your videos, it’s so beautiful.

Feast of St. Nicholas’ feast is December 6th.
Hi I am new with the advent candles are lit every night at a certain time and how long are they lit thanks for the help 🙏
Please pray for me not to shut down.
🙏
Prayers and hugs
🙏
♥️🙏🌹
Totally agree! The only way I can get Christmas done on time is if I start early. I'm so excited for Stefanie's book!
For your recipe book do you use a regular 3 ring binder or do you have a cuter way of organizing them?
I would chime in an idea that comes from the Philippines, from Dec 16-24 attend the earliest mass in your parish and make it your Christmas Novena
Would you link the St Lucy book? Thank you 🙏
Is it ok to have a Christmas party on December 26th?
What if your low income, what can one do for Advent and Christmas?
From where can i get mary statue like yours
Oh yes it is here in this post:) acatholicmomslife.com/beautiful-gift-ideas-for-women/
Gracias. Desde España, un saludo.
